Being presented for sale is this gorgeous 19th c Victorian Walnut& Burl Carved Fruit& Lions Brown Marble Top Sideboard circa 1880's. This fabulous Victorian sideboard features an abundance of beautiful carvings from top to bottom.the carved pediment having a shell carving at the center of raised panels of burl. Stick and ball, vertical slats,a carved fruit basket at the center top with floral& foliate carved supports with carved lions resting on the beautiful brown marble top. Intricate floral& foliate carvings on the base top and cabinet doors. This sideboard also has it original large wood casters intact on the base with what we believe to be the original beveled mirrors which are in beautiful antique condition with only some very minimal spotting. This sideboard measures 88 1/2 inches in total height(7' 4 1/2" ... moreHeight to the top shelf from the floor measures 78 inches, height from the floor to the marble top measures 38 1/4 inches, with a total width of 48 inches and depth front to back of 22 inches at the base and this sideboard weighs approximately 165 lbs but does disassemble into 4 pieces for easier handling during shipping and moving.The large original beveled mirror measures 39 1/4 inches wide by 17 1/4 inches high. The original brown marble top is in fantastic antique condition with no issues we can find. There is a couple of old repairs on the vertical slats at the top that appear solid and secure and not an issue in my opinion. The locks are intact on the drawers and the cabinet doors on the base but the 2 keys provided just aid in opening the doors and do not work the locks. Here is an Antique Victorian Sideboard/Server/Buffet; Walnut. Inlaid wood, Marble Top, Mirrors 1890's Dovetail construction First.I apologize for the pictures! It's very difficult to take pictures when there is a mirror. And this is a large piece. The pictures do not do this piece justice! This Server is sitting in the back room of my shop, and I just didn't have the room to focus for a picture. The glare is terrible in some of the pics. And the blue showing in the mirror is from a tarp thats hanging in the building. I had the server redone as far as replacing the marble top. And all the drawer pulls. They were replaced with brass ones as close to what might be original as I could find. Two keys are included. As far as I know the mirrors are original. ANTIQUE 1870's VICTORIAN RENAISSANCE CARVED MAHOGANY MARBLE TOP SIDEBOARD w/ MIRROR The base is mahogany veneers with solid mahogany carvings. The upper piece above the marble is solid mahogany. There are areas of missing and damaged veneer on the base. The drawer pulls are not original. And the drawer locks have been removed. One of the pads(back left) the base rests on is missing. The spindle detail on the left side of the base under the marble is missing. There is some silver loss to the mirrors. The marble has some staining and a few scratches that don't detract from the piece. The dimensions are 46" wide x 21" deep x 74" tall overall and 39" tall to the top of the marble. This beautiful 19th century sideboard features a wonderful highly carved crest with flowers. Leaves& berries, bullseye type roundels,the original gorgeous rose marble, burl walnut panels and the original brass drawer pulls with engraved woman in a canoe with rope bails. We believe the mirror to be original to the piece which does have a minor amount of cloudiness in a few spots and the drawers feature period dove-tailed ends. Drawers and doors have wooden keyhole covers. The marble top has normal wear for age-some stains and small chips-no cracks noted. A very fine antique. Circa 1880's, quartersawn oak sideboard with mottled brown marble top. The style is a combination of Renaissance and Classical. Two part construction. The top section with column supported shelf has a broken pediment type crest having finial, and spindel gallery. The marble is a meander of gray and cream in a chestnut brown color. The case has two long drawers over a two doored compartment. Fancy brass handles to all oak interior drawers, the doors with carved lion heads on tablets. Includes the lock and key. it measures 5'8" 68" tall by 4'3" 51" wide by 20" deep. the top shelf 7" deep. Below the case is a column supported long shelf over bun feet. Excellent condition: oak boards without chips or cracks, original dark finish. The marble slab is without cracks or chips.

Stunning Victorian mirrored sideboard or server. This ornate piece features carved decorations cresting each of its three sections. The center section has a large arched mirror with beveled edges. To each side of it are smaller oval beveled mirrors surrounded by filigree inlay and framed by turned columns. Each side section also features a small shelf over a larger serving area with molded edges. While the center section is slightly recessed and has been covered with beautiful rose-colored marble. Below the serving surfaces are two dovetail-jointed drawers with decorative brass bail handle pulls incised with geometric designs that resemble ankhs. The bottom half of this piece features three spacious cabinets, each framed by turned columns and with a mirrored and inlaid door that is opened with a key. This piece most likely dates from the ... moremid 1800's and is English in style and probably originated there. This piece is in fair to good antique condition with some minor breakage including and small break to the center crest. Breaks to the arched frames around two of the lower mirrors, a sizable chip to the veneer on the center door and a crack through the mirror surround on the upper right side, but no structural damage. Gorgeous Victorian era marble top server or sideboard. This beautiful piece has been capped with a gray and white marble top with rounded corners. The server show signs of high-quality construction including a paneled back and sides and sturdy dovetail joint drawers. The two drawers have fluted edges surrounding burl walnut inlay. Pressed brass pulls with a sun-like like design and silver-friendly linings. The lower cabinet has two doors, each with a burl walnut panel framed in a molded edge. The ring shaped pulls and brass escutcheons are made from brass. This piece most likely dates from the late 19th century. No maker's marks. The server is in good antique condition with some small holes in the marble top. See pictured example. The locks have been removed. Victorian Era Sideboard Possibly John Belter For Restoration Marble Top
I believe this to be the work of John Belter from the Victorian era. Needs total restoration but is in solid condition. Check the pictures closely. Notice the early dovetailing. Notice the fantastic carving. Appears to be of walnut or mahogany. Marble top which is pictured lying on the ground is in perfect condition.
