A telephone number is necessary to give to the shipper. Description: This is a very nice antique buffet server. The piece is made of ¼-sawn tiger Oak and the grain is beautiful. There is a short top shelf above the backsplash mirror. The mirror appears to be original and it does have some slight fogging and freckling. The backsplash mirror is beveled and flanked by“S” corbels supporting the upper shelf. The base has 4 drawers and 2 doors all with wood knob pulls. The two top drawers are bow front. The drawer on the left is lined with faded green velvet and divided into 3 sections. The drawers all have dovetail construction and glide in and out easily. The doors hide open storage. Casters sit beneath the large curved Empire style feet on all 4 legs. This piece does have some nicks and scuffs from the years however it is in overall great condition. I do not know the maker or exact date it was made. This piece is antique and will not be perfect. This buffet measures 55 1/8 inches tall. 61 ¾ inches side to side and 25 3/8 inches front to back. c1895 Large Victorian Tiger Oak Sideboard Buffet North Wind Rope Twist Paw Feet
Being offered for sale is this very Large Victorian Tiger Oak Sideboard/ Buffet with Carved North Wind Faces. Brass North Wind Pulls and Carved Paw Feet circa 1895. This outstanding 19th century sideboard features an abundance of detailed carvings from top to bottom and has three working keys, the original beveled mirrors and the original ornate brass hardware. This sideboard measures a total height from the floor to the top of the carved pediment at the back of 80 inches. With a height to the base at the front of 37 3/4 inches, total width of 59 1/2 inches and depth at the base portion of 24 inches and this massive sideboard weighs approximately 250 lbs and does disassemble into 2 pieces for easier handling during shipping and moving. The fine display shelf measures 59 inches wide by 13 inches deep and is 21 1/2 inches in height from the ... moretop of the base. This tiger oak sideboard is very solid and tight and has a gorgeous presence. The three keys work the locks on the drawers(one key for each drawer) but neither of the keys work the locks on the cabinet doors. The top right drawer does have divided compartments for flatware with newer green felt lining. We believe the large beveled mirrors to be original or at least antique replacements and there is some light spotting and some mild silver loss as common in old mirrors. The top mirror does show a small fracture in the bottom right corner that appears to have been there for sometime and not a major issue in my opinion but there. I have a close up picture of this area. The very front right corner of the sideboard base shows some wear and scuffing please see picture and as common in antiques the top of the sideboard does show some age and usage marks one expects to see on pieces over 100 years old.This outstanding sideboard/ buffet offers a tremendous amount of storage space and is definitely a statement piece to add to your dining area. Very large antique buffet/sideboard with carved fruit. The dimensions are about 88" high x 61" wide x 22" deep. There are three drawers and three doors with locks and key, all work fine. I believe the wood is oak, and there is some tiger striping as can be seen in the pictures. It's in good shape for it's age, there is some chipping of the veneer at the bottom and the marble is chipped on each end and there is a crack toward the center(you can see this in the pictures) Local pickup only.

Any color variations in the photos are caused by my iPhone camera. Please see the master shots. There are no variations in color at all. This is a antique buffet from 1880 to 1900. This buffet was my grandfathers. He got it some time around 1900. It has been sitting in my parents home for at least 60 years. We believe it was made in Europe. It is a massive piece of furniture. It features a total of five wood carved Griffin faces. A large beveled mirror with curved edges and a 72" by 24" table top. There are two large ornately carved winged Griffins with feet on both sides of the large beveled glass mirror. The mirror measures 57" by 21" There are three heavily carved drawers. One is completely covered with a Griffin face. And the other two are covered in floral type wood carvings. The large"main" drawer is cover ... morewith more floral type carving. This piece has gorgeous grain and still retains its original DARK finish. Has two smaller drawers across the top and one large drawer across the middle. And cabinet with two doors below- all with original wooden knobs. Columns/pillars on either side of the mirror. It is in very good/excellent condition with some normal wear on the feet. Some small scuffs on the top(nothing major- the worst is shown) small nicks and scratches here and there, and the cabinet doors each need a latch. Otherwise great with maybe some dust. Antique tiger oak beveled serpentine mirror carved griffins buffet / sideboard
Here is a fantastic tiger oak buffet/ sideboard with fully carved griffins at the ends of the beveled serpentine mirror. Its ALL original. My grandparents had this when it was new. It has been in my family since day one. Im the last one to have it and its time to let it go. It has been refinished only ONCE. Just re varnished about 30+ ago. Very clean inside and out. No stains, Drawers slide easily! The buffet measures 48 in wide. 24 in deep, and 56 in to top of mirror. 40 in to top of buffet, mirror is almost 17 in tall itself, the serpentine mirror is 3.5 in deep itself and the fully carved griffins are 9.5 in tall and 2.5 in thick. The only things missing are the key to the drawers and some of the metal tab stoppers for the drawers but they can be replaced. The feet are carved lion paws with the wood wheel casters. The back of the mirror ... morehas the number 613 painted on back. Which is probably the model number and the words Doll Class, which may mean the grade of quality of the piece. Its an excellent quality buffet. ALL the tiger oak veneer is present and in excellent condition, This piece needs no work and the mirror is screwed to the buffet with 10 wood screws( it comes off for easy moving) ONLY the bottom linen drawer needed to be re glued& re nailed, the linens were very heavy. Available for your condsideration is an Antique Victorian Era/ Turn of the Century Sideboard/ Buffet which is made of a Beautiful Tiger Oak Wood. This Antique Tiger Oak Sideboard/ Buffet is in Good Used Condition. I believe the mirror to be newer replacement and not original to the piece. The mirror is in excellent condition with No Chips. Cracks or Scratches to the silvering. In the back of the large single middle drawer in the upper right hand corner/ back piece is a knot hole. Finally, the lower right hand bottom door is stuck and I believe is due to the ball latch being frozen, can probably be easily fixed. No other problems to report and the finish on the entire piece is in very good condition. This Vintage Tiger Oak sideboard measures about 51" in height when including the mirror and 38" high to the top of the buffet. This ... morebuffet measures 42 1/2" wide and 20" deep. It is absolutely gorgeous and while there are no maker’s signatures that we can find, we can tell you that this piece was undoubtedly made by one of the finer cabinet makers’ of the era. This exquisite sideboard appears to be wearing its original finish and is abundant with many very desirable features! The lovely tiger oak top beveled mirrored gallery of this phenomenal sideboard is graced with scroll carvings across the top and is supported on each side with powerful carved roaring griffin sconces. This is one spectacular piece of Victorian era Empire Style furniture. All done in great detail, with beautiful shell motiff at the top surrounded by kissing dolphins, and very detailed dolphins on each side holding up the top shelf, and all in fantastic condition from top to bottom! It even has shell carvings on each door at the lower portion. It retains its original patina on the tiger oak, as well as its original pulls and locks and even still has the key!
