Inspired by the designs of Boulle under Louis XIV, this ebonized mahogany cabinet features extensive ormolu bronze mounts and brass marquetry. Lower cabinet doors open to reveal two shelves with old red velvet and the Druce and Co. nameplate. The upper cabinet features glazed and curved glass side panels and glazed doors and two adjustable shelves. Overall condition is good. There is a crack with losses to the brass in the upper left section of the lower left door, and other minor cracks to the brasses. There is a narrow vertical crack on the left side of the cabinet, and a few missing mounts, including the reed-and-tie border to the upper window on the right side, and the glass is cracked in the upper panel as well. One key is included The hutch is 8 ft high. 21" deep, and 57" wide at the widest The bottom part is 36" high by 52" wide There is one shelf inside the bottom part and then the bottom shelf. It measures 15 1/2" deep The top part is 51" high by 52" wide. The top part has 2 shelves inside plus the bottom. These shelves measure 9" deep. Then upper cabinet with foliate carved panels and display shelf raised on baluster form supports over a three drawer, three door base cabinet similarly relief carved with fruit filled urns and foliate panels. This beautiful buffet measures 110" high x 76" wide x 23" deep and would be the focal piece of any room. The piece is in very nice condition, but it does have a few flaws expected in a piece its age. Antique French Normandy Provincial Buffet. The hutch is two piece measuring 44 1/4" wide by 16 1/2" deep and stands 79" tall. The top can be mounted on the wall for additional work space. The bottom dresser top is full finished.The buffet features two plate rails a single lower silver drawer and a full cabinet with one shelf below. This is quite a handsome piece with figural carvings and spooled turnings. The piece is in excellent condition with the original hardware. The hardware could be polished to reveal the brass and make the piece pop. We have left in with the original patina for the purest. The Normandy buffet is legal antique and dates circa 1840. Exquisite antique French Provincial style buffet or sideboard made from beautifully grained cherry wood. This piece has many hallmarks of high quality construction. Including panelled sides and dovetail joints in the three drawers. Full length door hinges and ornate metal drawer pulls accent the front opf the piece as well as a simple floral carving on the valanced skirt. Three drawers and a generously sized lower cabinet make this a practical storage piece as well. The sideboard most liekly dates from around the 1840's. Overall. This piece is in very good condition, especially considering its age. There are some noticeable scratches and wear to the top surface and a few areas with eveidence of worm damage. Antique Oak French Provincial Buffet Country Sideboard Credenza
Stunning antique oak French Provincial style buffet. This generously sized piece has plenty of storage space and two shelves that could be used for serving. The fronts of the two main doors are carved with a motif of ribbons and musical instruments and there are simple flowers adorning the valanced and scrolled skirt. Panelled doors. Sides and back. Drawer pulls and other hardware look like antiqued brass. Each of the narrow side cabinets have two shelves that come with them, but are not currently installed. The back of the lower shelf has been covered in a white textured paper that is very pretty, but likely not original to the piece. Unsure of the buffet's exct age, but believe it to date from the late 1800's. Overall. This piece is in very good condition. Light wear to the surfaces and edges associated with use, but no other breaks ... moreor damage. The buffet stands 50" tall and measures approximately 73" wide and 17.5" deep. This buffet comes in 3 major pieces. It can be taken apart very easily for cleaning. Maintenance or repairs. It also ships very easily on wooden crates. It has an original finish to it, and was never varnished. The best way to maintain is to oil them regularly as they have been for the last century. This buffet shows evidence that it has been restored one or several times. It probably sustained some damage and needed repairs. It appears that there is also a combination of wood. Oak being of them. The stained glass seemed to be original, could be the central point of interest, but the carved and turned columns is certainly the central focal point of this buffet. I was told by an antique dealer that this is from the mid to late 1800's. Please feel free to ask any questions. Has the original glass and key for the locks. Great overall condition. Has a small crack in the counter top area as shown. The dimensions are: 90" high. 55" wide, 23 1/2" deep. The counter-top is 38 1/2" high. 2-10"x48" shelves in the upper area.
