It has three shelves with plate indents in the back. The shelves are adjustable all the way from bottom to top. The bottom piece is 36" high. 58" across, 23" deep. The front drops down to display green felt on the base and storage in the back all of which could be used as a writing table or for sorting dishes and flatware- green felt has some marks- see pictures. The bottom doors open and has"saw tooth. There are no shelves for the bottom piece. I haven't seen them during the 45 years that mom had the piece. INCREDIBLE hand carved English hutch/buffet/sideboard just waiting for that perfect spot in your home. Made entirely of beautiful dark wood. This piece has been meticulously carved by hand, and no opportunity for adding elegance has been missed. Includes all original hardware and mirror. This sideboard separates into two pieces in case you only want to use the buffet portion on the bottom. This fabulous English oak solid wood sideboard is 2 sections- top and bottom. The bottom has 4 drawers and 3 cupboards- the 2 center drawers are bowed. The cupboard side doors are single and center cupboard is a double door. It features a bowed carved front between the drawers and the center compartment- center cupboard is open up into that bowed area. Original brass"butterfly" hardware with a stylized design- one broken handle on bottom center door. The top section features 3 beveled mirrors and 4 shelves supported by carved columns. There is a sunflower motif on the pediment top center along with multiple carved flowers and leaf designs all over the front. Scrolls along the very top and sides. We are pleased to offer to the market this stunning antique English cabinet. The maker of this piece is unknown to us. We believe it to be from the late 1800's. A beautiful. Unique and functional piece the attributes of this are numerous. This is made from rosewood and veneer. The gallery top boasts a beautiful marble slab in amazing condition. Above the gallery there is a cabinet with glass doors. The doors have a pretty bell flower with ribbon& bow motif painted on them. This matches the inlaid motif on the base doors. There is an oval shaped beveled mirror between the doors. This has a key for the upper doors and they do lock. Beneath the cabinet doors the backsplash has a larger beveled mirror. The mirror is flanked by shelves mounted on columns with brass accenting. The base section of this has a single drawer above two doors ... morethat open to reveal additional storage space. The drawer has dove tail seams. The drawer has a lock but we do not have the key and the key that locks the upper doors does not work on this lock. This stunning sideboard/dresser/buffet travelled from England to America with my parents when they moved here in the 1970's. And took pride of place in their home for the remainder of their lives. It is now time to liquidate their assets, and pass on the pleasure of ownership of such a beautiful and versatile piece to someone who appreciates the beauty, history and craftsmanship of high quality furniture. It is made of mahogany, with beautifully carved embellishments and a gorgeous, flawless large focal mirror. The bottom section has six dove-tailed drawers, and the top section consists of a large focal mirror flanked on each side by two small shelves. Above the main mirror is another shelf, ab ove which is a smaller mirror. Both mirrors have bevelled edges. The top section is attatched to the bottom part with screws, so it will come ... moreapart for easier moving. Antique Victorian Mirrored Inlaid Server Marble Top Sideboard English c. 1800's
Stunning Victorian mirrored sideboard or server. This ornate piece features carved decorations cresting each of its three sections. The center section has a large arched mirror with beveled edges. To each side of it are smaller oval beveled mirrors surrounded by filigree inlay and framed by turned columns. Each side section also features a small shelf over a larger serving area with molded edges. While the center section is slightly recessed and has been covered with beautiful rose-colored marble. Below the serving surfaces are two dovetail-jointed drawers with decorative brass bail handle pulls incised with geometric designs that resemble ankhs. The bottom half of this piece features three spacious cabinets, each framed by turned columns and with a mirrored and inlaid door that is opened with a key. This piece most likely dates from the ... moremid 1800's and is English in style and probably originated there. This piece is in fair to good antique condition with some minor breakage including and small break to the center crest. Breaks to the arched frames around two of the lower mirrors, a sizable chip to the veneer on the center door and a crack through the mirror surround on the upper right side, but no structural damage. English Regency Style Mahogany Sideboard on Spade Feet c. Antique 19th Century
ENGLISH REGENCY STYLE MAHOGANY SIDEBOARD OF DIMINUTIVE PROPORTIONS A highly desirable size at only 48 3/8" wide Predominantly c. 1st Quarter of the 19th Century Item# 1408ZSQ10A An outstanding piece for anyone with a smaller dining space. This piece is probably at least somewhat altered in order to make it more desirable for such areas. We would assume it was altered or composed during the late 19th Century using a period sideboard from the first years of the 19th Century, lending it all of the patina and vivid craftsmanship we cherish in period objects while allowing it to be suitable for the modern dining room of that era. Few period sideboards are of the right size to aesthetically work with the average dining room, but this piece is of the perfect dimensions to do so. The craftsmanship is impeccable with bold and well selected crotch ... moremahogany veneers on the drawer and flanking doors. These protected by cockbead molding around the edges and over the hand dovetailing of the drawer. The cast Lion Mask pulls are correct for the period but are later replacements using the same holes. The frame from beneath shows the exposed dovetailing that joins the frame permanently, the entire piece resting over tapered legs on spade feet. While this is not a good choice for the purist collector. It is an absolutely fabulous sideboard for anyone with a more petite dining room space who loves the warmth and wear of a early objects. It is in outstanding condition and will certainly be a cherished part of your dining room for a lifetime. Measurements: 48 3/8" W x 23 3/8" D x 36 1/8" H Condition Report: Probably at least partially altered using 19th Century components. Top replaced, pulls are replacements in the same holes, old gouge to right side of the case(well oxidized with a nice patina) chip beneath drawer. Sturdy and strong. It was purchased from the old Antique Guild when they specialized in selling antiques. We were told at time of purchase that it was a European antique from the late 1890's. It is a lovely piece of furniture that could be used for multi-purposes(i.e. display cabinet. Dry bar, in a retail store or restaurant or just as a unique piece of furniture in your kitchen, living room, bedroom, etc. It has nice carving and woodwork details. The cabinet size with both pieces is approximately 78" high x 54" wide x 18" deep(approx. 19.5" deep at center) The bottom portion of the cabinet measures approx. 54" long, 18" deep, ... moreand 37" high. This cabinet consists of two pieces(the upper portion and bottom portion which are mounted to each other in the rear of the cabinet) The bottom portion of the cabinet has two side doors with carving details and shelves for storage. There are two center drawers with a slight bow design which adds to the overall design of the furniture. An open shelf sits below the two center drawers. The upper portion has three shelves. Carving details and mirrors. The condition is very good considering the age with the following exceptions. This sideboard was made sometime around the year ... more1890 in England. The Mahogany wood has a lovely. Deep patina that will continue to grow deeper and more beautiful as it ages. For storage there are three large drawers and two cabinet sections. All drawers open and close easily and were constructed with hand cut dovetailed drawer joints. There are two drop ring brass handles on each drawer. This center section bows out lending the piece a elegant shape. The doors, drawers and back-splash are all constructed in a magnificent flame mahogany. The top of the three drawers is lined with green felt to cushion silverware. The left and right cabinets come equipped with a sturdy shelf for dishware. Both doors lock securely and one key is included. The rope twist carved molding adds an extra dimension of character to this extravagant piece, and all sits atop marvelous ball and claw feet. Being such a heavy and sturdy sideboard this piece has withstood the test of time very well. There are a few minor cosmetic issues to mention. The escutcheon on the left cabinet is missing. Also. In the right cabinet there would have been a lead line drawer for wine bottles that is now missing. It was probably removed on purpose to allow for more storage

Beautiful Antique English Hutch secretary- Late 1800's with secret compartment
This hutch was purchased at an antique auction many years ago. And although I do not know the exact year of production, it does date back to the 1880's and was shipped to the United States from England. On the secretary writing surface, there is a piece with a Reg D No. 458784, as pictured. This is solid wood, and there are absolutely no scratches or chips in the beautiful leaded glass doors. All locking mechanisms work fine, and there are 3 original keys included. Possibly the most unique feature about this piece is the secret compartment- If you lift up on the top of the hutch, there is a secret space at the top for hiding money, home security, jewelry, etc. Just think about what could have possibly been stored secretly in this space since the 1880's. I've not seen anything else like this. This would make an excellent conversation ... morepiece for your home or business. This lovely hutch is available for local pickup in the Houston.
