Measurements are as follows: 84"W x ... more69"T X 24"D. Weight: approx. 150-200lbs. There are a couple of small trim pieces where the backsplash meets the base that are missing, a couple that are loose. The top section of the backsplash has seperated and a couple small pieces of carved trimwork are missing as a result(can be seen in the pics) There is a small a chip on the front left edge of the table surface. One of the locks is missing from one of the doors and there is a stain on the top that can be clearly seen in the photo. Im sure there are other bumps/bruises but nothing glaring. All that having been said, this piece is really stunning in person and all of the condition issues are fairly simple repairs. The flaws I mentioned are only noticed upon close scrutiny and have never been pointed out to me by anyone who has seen it in person. Original finish is in good shape, just as it appears in the photos. The color, in person, is probably somewhere between the lightest and darkest photos. The carving on this piece is AWESOME! The quartersawn grain is heavy and pronounced. Bought this piece and the matching server, which I will be listing soon) to restore but I am out of time/space. I feel I have a reasonable opening bid on this piece but if it does not sell, I will restore it and the price will go up considerably. Personally, im kinda getting burned out on the figurals and winged griffins that usually adorn pieces of this quality so its nice to see a great piece without that typical subject matter. Folks, o ver the years we've sold a number of these Fantastic Sideboards with the'FULL BODIED' GRIFFINS but this treasure is the FINEST and in flawless CONDITION! This is an AMERICAN sideboard from the 1880's Victorian era. The photos tell the story. The hand carving on the seashell/ acanthus vine handles, full bodied GRIFFFINS. Clawfeet is top of the line. This sideboard is solid as a rock with a wonderful medium honey oak finish and a 130 year old patina that changes hue with changing light of day! All the doors and drawers have the original locks and we have the key! The beveled mirror is also in super condition. Overall dimensions are 60" wide. 25" deep and 56" high. Here is an exquisite. Massive, Antique 19th cent. American(probably Horner) quarter sawn oak sideboard buffet server. Straight out of a Long Island estate. Was in the same family for 70 years. This piece was made around 1880 and represents carved oak at its best. Incredibly carved with lions' heads. Paws, ribbons, and scrolls. Doors are all carved scrolls with center cartouche. They are separated by 2 columns of carved ribbons and fruit. The drawers above have handles of lions' faces. The top is crowned with an incredible lion head. The only condition issues are a small ring stain and a darker area on the top front right. Also a thin slit in the wood appx 18 inch long. These are very minor and can easily be fixed. It is French from the 1880's- 1920(French revival period? It is solid oak or walnut It has brass hardware Also noted is that there are no known problems with the piece- nothing on it is broken. One key is included The hutch is 8 ft high. 21" deep, and 57" wide at the widest The bottom part is 36" high by 52" wide There is one shelf inside the bottom part and then the bottom shelf. It measures 15 1/2" deep The top part is 51" high by 52" wide. The top part has 2 shelves inside plus the bottom. These shelves measure 9" deep. 18th century solid oak Butlers Hutch This was purchased over 30 years ago at the Antique Buyers guild( The old Helms Bakery L.A) We where told at the time of the purchase that it dates to the late 1700's and was made in the Adam period French in origin. It is a impressive piece of furniture. It is all hand carved solid oak. The cabinets each have one shelf inside bottom is sagging so I placed a piece of hard board in there. It has a incredible dark patina. It measures approx. 94 1/2" tall 47" wide under 24" deep The hutch is attached to the base using dowels So it lifts off the base From what I remember they only stick out a inch You need at least a 8' ceiling. My home was built in the late 1940's so the ceilings are 8'2" a newer home might be a tight fit. Years ago because I was concerned about earthquakes ... moreI attached 2) 2"x4"s to the back to make it sturdier. They are stained to match. So for those of you with a tight fit. I think it could be set up without the dowels across the back because of the 2" x4"s the 2 spindles in the front supporting the hutch also come off. There are dowels sticking out both ends. You could leave one end in and maybe put a screw trough the bottom. One other modification I noticed will up inside the cabinet is that wood was added on both sides under the base's top( I would guess the top may have been sagging under the weight of the Hutch) hence the addition. There are 2 small dowels missing on the rail on the inside( good place) hardly noticeable. One small piece gone off the top. Again hardly noticeable. I didn't catch it when I bought it. Other then that as you can see it is impressive without being over bearing. I don't need to sell so I don't plan on dropping my prices. This price is what I want to part with it. Being offered for sale is this very Large Victorian Tiger Oak Sideboard/ Buffet with Carved North Wind Faces. Brass North Wind Pulls and Carved Paw Feet circa 1895. This outstanding 19th century sideboard features an abundance of detailed carvings from top to bottom and has three working keys, the original beveled mirrors and the original ornate brass hardware. This sideboard measures a total height from the floor to the top of the carved pediment at the back of 80 inches. With a height to the base at the front of 37 3/4 inches, total width of 59 1/2 inches and depth at the base portion of 24 inches and this massive sideboard weighs approximately 250 lbs and does disassemble into 2 pieces for easier handling during shipping and moving. The fine display shelf measures 59 inches wide by 13 inches deep and is 21 1/2 inches in height from the ... moretop of the base. This tiger oak sideboard is very solid and tight and has a gorgeous presence. The three keys work the locks on the drawers(one key for each drawer) but neither of the keys work the locks on the cabinet doors. The top right drawer does have divided compartments for flatware with newer green felt lining. We believe the large beveled mirrors to be original or at least antique replacements and there is some light spotting and some mild silver loss as common in old mirrors. The top mirror does show a small fracture in the bottom right corner that appears to have been there for sometime and not a major issue in my opinion but there. I have a close up picture of this area. The very front right corner of the sideboard base shows some wear and scuffing please see picture and as common in antiques the top of the sideboard does show some age and usage marks one expects to see on pieces over 100 years old.This outstanding sideboard/ buffet offers a tremendous amount of storage space and is definitely a statement piece to add to your dining area. Antique Oak French Provincial Buffet Country Sideboard Credenza
Stunning antique oak French Provincial style buffet. This generously sized piece has plenty of storage space and two shelves that could be used for serving. The fronts of the two main doors are carved with a motif of ribbons and musical instruments and there are simple flowers adorning the valanced and scrolled skirt. Panelled doors. Sides and back. Drawer pulls and other hardware look like antiqued brass. Each of the narrow side cabinets have two shelves that come with them, but are not currently installed. The back of the lower shelf has been covered in a white textured paper that is very pretty, but likely not original to the piece. Unsure of the buffet's exct age, but believe it to date from the late 1800's. Overall. This piece is in very good condition. Light wear to the surfaces and edges associated with use, but no other breaks ... moreor damage. The buffet stands 50" tall and measures approximately 73" wide and 17.5" deep. Breathtaking huge Austrian ornately carved solid oak sideboard buffet cupboard
This once-in-a- lifetime piece has been lovingly cared for all of its' life-125 years-and its' condition shows it. The original finish glows and the gleaming brass handles. Hinges and locks accentuate the magnificent hand carving-people, gargoyles, leaves, acanthus, practically a catalogue of the woodcarver's Art. We have owned it for almost 40 years and it is a treasured part of our household. But, time moves on and we are down-sizing. We were told. When we were living in Germany, that during the wars, pieces like this were wrapped in oilcloth and buried out on the grounds to protect them. They certainly weren't in any danger of being carried off! The measurements of this piece are: 10 8 inches(9' tall by 8 2 inches wide by 3 2 inches deep. It needs at least 10 foot ceilings and a nine foot wide wall to look right. But-oooohhh ... morethe storage! There are four. 26 inch deep drawers for silver, placemats, candles and tablecloths. Four cupboards, down below, hold all your china, platters, bowls and vases. Up above, the two-door cupboard holds crystal and glassware and the open shelves show off your collections. The gargoyle, up on top, points out the carving that identifies it as having been built in 1888. This piece, all together, weighs about 1200 pounds-but it comes apart in four pieces-the bottom buffet, the beautiful, perfectly preserved black flecked marble, the upper cupboard and the gargoyle's box pediment, up on top. 1880 French Renaissance Louis XV. Profusely Carved Quarter-Oak Sideboard/Buffet. It has a very decorative pierced gallery with finials on each end. The top center has a heavily carved crown. The Sideboard/Buffet is made in three main sections. The base with two drawers and two doors with one interior. Removable shelf measures: 55" wide x 21 1/2" deep x 39" tall. The next section supports the top section with two columns and provides a decorative pierced plate rail. It measures: 16" tall x 12" deep. The plate rail is 4" deep with a 2" opening for plates. The third(top section) measures: 51" wide x 41" tall x 13 1/2" deep. It has 3 profusely carved doors. The center door appears to have been carved from one piece of wood and represents a man on a horse with a trumpet chasing a deer. Perhaps 1865 It measures 79 inches high to the top of the crown. Stands 38 1/2 inches high to the main counter, 48 inches high at 2 small middle side shelves, 65 inches to top shelf, 48 inches wide& 24 inches deep. Very large antique buffet/sideboard with carved fruit. The dimensions are about 88" high x 61" wide x 22" deep. There are three drawers and three doors with locks and key, all work fine. I believe the wood is oak, and there is some tiger striping as can be seen in the pictures. It's in good shape for it's age, there is some chipping of the veneer at the bottom and the marble is chipped on each end and there is a crack toward the center(you can see this in the pictures) Local pickup only.

Beautiful. Functional buffet with carved beveled mirror. This piece is in very good condition. One of the smaller drawers is missing half of it's bottom, but has not been repaired because of inability to locate proper replacement material. Four of the original pulls are missing. The mirror does have one blemish. And the front edge of the base top has small dents, indicating use. This was a gently used and functional piece that has been said to come from one of the homes of Brigham Young, though we have not been able to verify that claim, yet.

Offered is a Beautiful Antique Quartersawn Golden Oak Lion Head Sideboard Buffet Server with a Beveled Mirror. This sideboard is in excellent condition and is very clean. The original beveled mirror is also in great condition with very minor shadowing in the silver. The mirror measures 39” by 18 ½” The roaring lions’ heads are part of the pillars which support the middle and top shelves. The small middle shelves are a perfect size for candle lamps(mantle lamps) As you see in the pictures. There are four drawers, including the two top drawers, single long middle drawer, and the middle bottom(very deep) drawer. The cabinet has doors on either side at the bottom, with adequate space to store many dishes. The bun feet have casters. The two-piece buffet cabinet( bahut deux corps) has three doors in the top section along with three doors and three drawers in the bottom. The doors lock with the original keys. Antique Belgian Carved Oak Buffet / Sideboard
I have owned this beautiful oak sideboard for about 10 years. It is in nice shape with the original finish. It has a few minor condition issues(see photos) Nothing serious. Measures 86 1/2 inches wide, 23 1/4 inches deep, and 51 inches tall. It is made to come apart. So it is much easier to move than it appears. My Father told me it was common for old furniture to come apart in northern Europe as stairways and doors were often narrow. The family I bought it from purchased it in the 1950's from a friend who imported antiques from Belgium. They used it as a store fixture(it has a check guarantee bank sticker on the back) and later in their home. No shipping on this item. You will need to pick it up at my house in Portland. I will help you take it apart, you will need to carry it out. I might be able to move the larger pieces in my minivan ... moreif you live nearby.
