Measurements are as follows: 84"W x ... more69"T X 24"D. Weight: approx. 150-200lbs. There are a couple of small trim pieces where the backsplash meets the base that are missing, a couple that are loose. The top section of the backsplash has seperated and a couple small pieces of carved trimwork are missing as a result(can be seen in the pics) There is a small a chip on the front left edge of the table surface. One of the locks is missing from one of the doors and there is a stain on the top that can be clearly seen in the photo. Im sure there are other bumps/bruises but nothing glaring. All that having been said, this piece is really stunning in person and all of the condition issues are fairly simple repairs. The flaws I mentioned are only noticed upon close scrutiny and have never been pointed out to me by anyone who has seen it in person. Original finish is in good shape, just as it appears in the photos. The color, in person, is probably somewhere between the lightest and darkest photos. The carving on this piece is AWESOME! The quartersawn grain is heavy and pronounced. Bought this piece and the matching server, which I will be listing soon) to restore but I am out of time/space. I feel I have a reasonable opening bid on this piece but if it does not sell, I will restore it and the price will go up considerably. Personally, im kinda getting burned out on the figurals and winged griffins that usually adorn pieces of this quality so its nice to see a great piece without that typical subject matter. The carvings themselves are an art statement that would likely cost more than the entire sideboard. This is a great collectible piece of oak. The overall size is 54 inches wide, 25 inches deep, 39 inches high to the base and 86 inches high overall. The mirror glass size is 39 inches wide by 17 inches high. The mirror shows silver loss which adds charm and character. It has the original hardware. The knobs on the left-hand drawer has spacers instead of a washer, but it works. It has all the escutcheons.

Antique Carved Solid Oak French Renaissance Butler's Sideboard Buffet Plate Rack
Up for your consideration is this very impressive piece that has been in our family for 40 years. It was bought from an antique store and were told the following at that time. It is French from the 1880's- 1920(French revival period? It is solid oak or walnut It has brass hardware Also noted is that there are no known problems with the piece- nothing on it is broken. One key is included The hutch is 8 ft high. 21" deep, and 57" wide at the widest The bottom part is 36" high by 52" wide There is one shelf inside the bottom part and then the bottom shelf. It measures 15 1/2" deep The top part is 51" high by 52" wide. The top part has 2 shelves inside plus the bottom. These shelves measure 9" deep. There is an ornate plate rack on the back of the serving surface. There are beautiful. Ornate carvings ... moreon all areas of this beautiful piece. There are elegant brass drawer pulls. We believe that the top lifts off of the bottom part for transport. I'm happy to answer questions on this piece to the best of my ability. But am not an antiques expert.

Outstanding! Beautifully Carved, Quarter Sawn Oak, RJ Horner Sideboard Must See!
Beautiful. Heavily flaked quarter sawn oak sideboard in the manner of RJ Horner. Pics tell most of the story. Measurements are as follows: 84"W x 69"T X 24"D. Weight: approx. 150-200lbs. There are a couple of small trim pieces where the backsplash meets the base that are missing, a couple that are loose. The top section of the backsplash has seperated and a couple small pieces of carved trimwork are missing as a result(can be seen in the pics) There is a small a chip on the front left edge of the table surface. One of the locks is missing from one of the doors and there is a stain on the top that can be clearly seen in the photo. Im sure there are other bumps/bruises but nothing glaring. All that having been said, this piece is really stunning in person and all of the condition issues are fairly simple repairs. The flaws I ... morementioned are only noticed upon close scrutiny and have never been pointed out to me by anyone who has seen it in person. Original finish is in good shape, just as it appears in the photos. The color, in person, is probably somewhere between the lightest and darkest photos. The carving on this piece is AWESOME! The quartersawn grain is heavy and pronounced. Bought this piece and the matching server, which I will be listing soon) to restore but I am out of time/space. I feel I have a reasonable opening bid on this piece but if it does not sell, I will restore it and the price will go up considerably. Personally, im kinda getting burned out on the figurals and winged griffins that usually adorn pieces of this quality so its nice to see a great piece without that typical subject matter. Breathtaking huge Austrian ornately carved solid oak sideboard buffet cupboard
This once-in-a- lifetime piece has been lovingly cared for all of its' life-125 years-and its' condition shows it. The original finish glows and the gleaming brass handles. Hinges and locks accentuate the magnificent hand carving-people, gargoyles, leaves, acanthus, practically a catalogue of the woodcarver's Art. We have owned it for almost 40 years and it is a treasured part of our household. But, time moves on and we are down-sizing. We were told. When we were living in Germany, that during the wars, pieces like this were wrapped in oilcloth and buried out on the grounds to protect them. They certainly weren't in any danger of being carried off! The measurements of this piece are: 10 8 inches(9' tall by 8 2 inches wide by 3 2 inches deep. It needs at least 10 foot ceilings and a nine foot wide wall to look right. But-oooohhh ... morethe storage! There are four. 26 inch deep drawers for silver, placemats, candles and tablecloths. Four cupboards, down below, hold all your china, platters, bowls and vases. Up above, the two-door cupboard holds crystal and glassware and the open shelves show off your collections. The gargoyle, up on top, points out the carving that identifies it as having been built in 1888. This piece, all together, weighs about 1200 pounds-but it comes apart in four pieces-the bottom buffet, the beautiful, perfectly preserved black flecked marble, the upper cupboard and the gargoyle's box pediment, up on top. 1880 French Renaissance Louis XV. Profusely Carved Quarter-Oak Sideboard/Buffet. It has a very decorative pierced gallery with finials on each end. The top center has a heavily carved crown. The Sideboard/Buffet is made in three main sections. The base with two drawers and two doors with one interior. Removable shelf measures: 55" wide x 21 1/2" deep x 39" tall. The next section supports the top section with two columns and provides a decorative pierced plate rail. It measures: 16" tall x 12" deep. The plate rail is 4" deep with a 2" opening for plates. The third(top section) measures: 51" wide x 41" tall x 13 1/2" deep. It has 3 profusely carved doors. The center door appears to have been carved from one piece of wood and represents a man on a horse with a trumpet chasing a deer. Very large antique buffet/sideboard with carved fruit. The dimensions are about 88" high x 61" wide x 22" deep. There are three drawers and three doors with locks and key, all work fine. I believe the wood is oak, and there is some tiger striping as can be seen in the pictures. It's in good shape for it's age, there is some chipping of the veneer at the bottom and the marble is chipped on each end and there is a crack toward the center(you can see this in the pictures) Local pickup only.

Beautiful American Antique New York 1800s R J Horner Carved Oak Sideboard Base
Here is an absolutely fabulous 19th century RJ HORNER New York USA made sideboard buffet base. You can see three small holes on top at the back where a mirrored top was probably attached. I bought this as a base only and had it refinished over 30 years ago-it was a dark mess and the wood grain wasn't visible otherwise I would have left it original. I wanted to see the glorious oak grain and everyone that has seen it over the decades has mentioned what an awesome piece it is. The carving is magnificent-hairy feet. Faces, shells, florals-fantastic quality. The drawers in the center are still there and usable, though could probably use some TLC to get them back to their best-there is a small chip in a corner and chain that holds it open needs some work. There are a couple of minor scuffs-one on top and one on lower side-captured in photos, ... moreand a couple of scratches on the top-tried to photograph. The bottom drawer sticks out-since last move 25 years ago. The nose of a center face has been flattened somewhat-again-with last move. One handle on left drawer is not rounded-may have had a piece off-has been that way since I bought it over 30 years ago. There is some minor denting around key locks-no key available. There may be another flaw,but I don't see them-but again this beauty is way over 100 years old. The back is fully intact-solid. Weighs a ton-built to last forever. Beautiful. Functional buffet with carved beveled mirror. This piece is in very good condition. One of the smaller drawers is missing half of it's bottom, but has not been repaired because of inability to locate proper replacement material. Four of the original pulls are missing. The mirror does have one blemish. And the front edge of the base top has small dents, indicating use. This was a gently used and functional piece that has been said to come from one of the homes of Brigham Young, though we have not been able to verify that claim, yet.

Take a look at this gorgeous oak triple beveled glass sideboard with multi raised panels. A bulbous design front, paneled sides, multi tapered ... moreturned spindles, and is heavily carved, that dates from the 1890s. This came off a container from Europe, and although it looks American, it is most likely English. It would make a fantastic bathroom sink cabinet, if you could deal with the height of the base, because of the way the base has a carved middle drawer that bows out with ridges and the bulbous carved front. Just across the front of the base it has more than 20 deeply carved raised panels! If you took off the doors and drawer fronts, you could hang them on the wall as works of art. The top of the base doesn’t just have an ogee beveled edge, it has an amazing beveled edge that is twice as wide as normal. It has its original hardware, an applied bracket foot base, and then you look at the top. It has triple mirrors, the two outside large, oval and of beveled glass, and the center mirror of beveled glass with 45-degree corners. There are all kinds of raised panels, and there are candle shelves for lamps, and incredible acanthus carved pillars with cornices on top. Antique Heavily Carved Oak Sideboard European Origins Needs TLC
We are pleased to offer to the market this stunning European oak sideboard. This piece measures 53.75"W x 76.5"H to the back top x 19.5"D. It is 33.5" to the height of the work area. The top boasts an elaborate center carved panel depicting a scene with a man and a woman. This panel is flanked with more elaborately carved sections. Above and below there are spindles and on the sides there are also pinwheel style spindle& carving designs. There are elaborate floral designs surrounding the center panel. and separating the center panel from the panels with the pinwheel designs. Above the top spindles. The crest also boasts elaborate acanthus leaf carving with a center medallion of a bust of a man. The corners of the crest have small finials on them. One of these is broken off but we do have it. The work surface on this ... moreis in good condition with light surface scratches. Divets, and dings that are age and use appropriate. Below the work surface there are two carved front drawers with a carved medallion between them. The drawers have early joinery as shown in the photos. These also have what appears to be the original brass hardware. At the base of the piece there is a large surface for storage with two columns in the front as well as a small spindled gallery shelf. The bottom molding is ornately carved with the same floral medallion. There is a large crack and piece missing to the bottom molding. This sits on bun feet. There is one foot missing on the back and there is also one cracked. There are age and use appropriate scratches. Dings, and divets on this piece. There are areas that are also in need of repair. Whimsical R.J.Horner carved quarter-sawn oak American Victorian sideboard
Well. This piece is a little out in left field for me- I generally deal in more traditional, classical sort of formal Georgian or Federal pieces, but I couldn't resist the whimsy of this piece, to say nothing of the underlying quality. I bought it on impulse, as I was charmed by(and a little taken aback with) the rather cross-looking hand-carved'sun' on the back of this Victorian mirrored-back sideboard. The Victorian quirkiness carries through to a series of small beveled round'porthole' type mirrors up top, and some rather inspired organic whippy details each side of the half-round beveled mirror. There are a series of three drawers. Also profusely carved, with a larger drawer center and below. Cupboards flank to each lower side- no carving on their doors, but the doors are solid quarter-sawn white oak, not veneer. It ... morewas only when I was moving the piece that I found the small enameled button label- there are losses to the top. But it clearly identifies the maker as R.J. Horner. Now, a confession- I knocked the bloody thing off when moving the sideboard, so the button is loose, as you can see- I took a photo of it next the spot on the back where it was mounted, and thankfully there's a'shadow' of oxidation to confirm it was there( and the nail which held it in place remains) This is just a fun. If slightly silly high-Victorian piece, of surprising quality. The serving surface, sides, door and drawer fronts, and upper shelf are all solid oak- secondary wood seems to be beech. It's possible that the beveled half-round mirror has been replaced- it looks very clean; by comparison the upper small round mirrors have minor blemishes. Overall the piece measures 53" wide. 20" deep, and 81" tall overall( 39" to the serving surface) I'll ship from Bellingham WA- we'll have to work out the details. Monumental RJ Horner griffin oak carved curio top sideboard the best This is the best sideboard in oak on eBay and the market right now. Horner did make one model that is as grand with griffins supporting the top and I've only heard of one selling in the past 6 years. This is a opportunity to buy a museum quality piece of American history that will not happen again for some time. We have restored it to its original grandeur and it has no apologies as you can see. Rarely can you stand 100% behind a piece that is 110+ years old to the extent I will with this one. I will shorten my description because the pictures really tell the tale. Starting at the bottom you have a massive base with bowed and projected center section and fluted drawers. On the ends stand full bodied griffins on the 45 degree angle and they are huge! Their heads are 5+" ... moreacross. That's the start, them moving up to the center section the curio top is supported by 4 massive ball and claw feet and carved ankles. Three beveled mirrors comprise the back filler section and this all supports this massive curio glass top. The top consists of a total of 12 beveled and mirrored glass' the bonnets are carved with radius doors and a arched hood then topped with a huge 16" carved lions head in the center. Within the arch is a carved frieze board with fighting griffins holding a carved crest of sorts. I'm trying to stop I promise but it's a exciting piece! The hardware is the heaviest detailed hardware I've seen on a piece with the greatest detail, carved lions heads and faces with manes. Every screw to every piece of hardware was there and we cleaned every piece and reapplied them. Fantastic piece that deserves the proper home. I have owned this beautiful oak sideboard for about 10 years. It is in nice shape with the original finish. It has a few minor condition issues(see photos) Nothing serious. Measures 86 1/2 inches wide, 23 1/4 inches deep, and 51 inches tall. It is made to come apart. So it is much easier to move than it appears. My Father told me it was common for old furniture to come apart in northern Europe as stairways and doors were often narrow. The family I bought it from purchased it in the 1950's from a friend who imported antiques from Belgium. They used it as a store fixture(it has a check guarantee bank sticker on the back) and later in their home. No shipping on this item. You will need to pick it up at my house in Portland. English 1890 Antique Carved Oak Backbar or Sideboard Server. Hand carved in England about 1890. This grand back bar, sideboard or server has wonderful galleries with original beveled mirrors. Opulent detailing with dragons and classical urn motifs shows masterful artistry in solid fine grained oak. Drawers have solid mahogany sides with hand cut dovetail joints and original embossed bronze hardware. Original mirrors have a little antique smoke and flaws to show their age. The top has been revarnished for durability. The rest of the finish is original and has been waxed and buffed. Only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its warm luster. Here we have for auction is a good Victorian carved solid oak sideboard in the Jacobean manner dating to the mid 19th century. This well crafted example has a moulded edge top with a stunning carved frieze over a central bank of two long drawers and cupboard doors enclosing a shelve flanked either side by two further drawers and panel cupboard doors with moulding detailing being raised on squat feet with a carved apron. The sideboard has good heavy carvings throughout. The drawers are all oak lined with beautifully carved lion mask handles.
