Lower cabinet doors open to reveal two shelves with old red velvet and the Druce and Co. nameplate. The upper cabinet features glazed and curved glass side panels and glazed doors and two adjustable shelves. Overall condition is good. There is a crack with losses to the brass in the upper left section of the lower left door, and other minor cracks to the brasses. There is a narrow vertical crack on the left side of the cabinet, and a few missing mounts, including the reed-and-tie border to the upper window on the right side, and the glass is cracked in the upper panel as well. This American Empire sideboard is made of a combination of cherry and mahogany and has it's original finish and casters. The measurements are 52 1/2" tall without the backsplash(which is about 9" high) by 44 1/2" by 23 1/2" As far as condition. It is all original and does show signs of age but no damage. Beautiful Louis XVI style commode. Buffet in demi-lune form, accented by bronze mounts in the form of filigree, accents at the four wood feet, hardware and classically derived Figural motifs on the curving doors. The marble, in excellent condition, is veined in burgundy and ivory tones. The woodwork is wood marquetry/veneer on wood. There is a central curved door which is a focal point, flanked by two curved doors. Each of the three doors has a key and bolt closure. Each also opens to reveal two shelves. Large drawer above provides additional storage. Measures 3' 3" h. 3' 10" w, 1'5" deep. In excellent condition. Pick up in Princeton, NJ.
