It is French from the 1880's- 1920(French revival period? It is solid oak or walnut It has brass hardware Also noted is that there are no known problems with the piece- nothing on it is broken. One key is included The hutch is 8 ft high. 21" deep, and 57" wide at the widest The bottom part is 36" high by 52" wide There is one shelf inside the bottom part and then the bottom shelf. It measures 15 1/2" deep The top part is 51" high by 52" wide. The top part has 2 shelves inside plus the bottom. These shelves measure 9" deep. This buffet comes in 3 major pieces. It can be taken apart very easily for cleaning. Maintenance or repairs. It also ships very easily on wooden crates. It has an original finish to it, and was never varnished. The best way to maintain is to oil them regularly as they have been for the last century. This buffet shows evidence that it has been restored one or several times. It probably sustained some damage and needed repairs. It appears that there is also a combination of wood. Breathtaking huge Austrian ornately carved solid oak sideboard buffet cupboard
This once-in-a- lifetime piece has been lovingly cared for all of its' life-125 years-and its' condition shows it. The original finish glows and the gleaming brass handles. Hinges and locks accentuate the magnificent hand carving-people, gargoyles, leaves, acanthus, practically a catalogue of the woodcarver's Art. We have owned it for almost 40 years and it is a treasured part of our household. But, time moves on and we are down-sizing. We were told. When we were living in Germany, that during the wars, pieces like this were wrapped in oilcloth and buried out on the grounds to protect them. They certainly weren't in any danger of being carried off! The measurements of this piece are: 10 8 inches(9' tall by 8 2 inches wide by 3 2 inches deep. It needs at least 10 foot ceilings and a nine foot wide wall to look right. But-oooohhh ... morethe storage! There are four. 26 inch deep drawers for silver, placemats, candles and tablecloths. Four cupboards, down below, hold all your china, platters, bowls and vases. Up above, the two-door cupboard holds crystal and glassware and the open shelves show off your collections. The gargoyle, up on top, points out the carving that identifies it as having been built in 1888. This piece, all together, weighs about 1200 pounds-but it comes apart in four pieces-the bottom buffet, the beautiful, perfectly preserved black flecked marble, the upper cupboard and the gargoyle's box pediment, up on top. The sideboard can be picked-up. In Duluth, Minnesota, or I have a shipping company to recommend. I will give you the information upon purchase or request. 1880 French Renaissance Louis XV. Profusely Carved Quarter-Oak Sideboard/Buffet. It has a very decorative pierced gallery with finials on each end. The top center has a heavily carved crown. The Sideboard/Buffet is made in three main sections. The base with two drawers and two doors with one interior. Removable shelf measures: 55" wide x 21 1/2" deep x 39" tall. The next section supports the top section with two columns and provides a decorative pierced plate rail. It measures: 16" tall x 12" deep. The plate rail is 4" deep with a 2" opening for plates. The third(top section) measures: 51" wide x 41" tall x 13 1/2" deep. It has 3 profusely carved doors. The center door appears to have been carved from one piece of wood and represents a man on a horse with a trumpet chasing a deer. Vintage Sideboard Buffet Carved Fruit Tiger Stripe Oak Marble Cabinet Large
Very large antique buffet/sideboard with carved fruit. The dimensions are about 88" high x 61" wide x 22" deep. There are three drawers and three doors with locks and key, all work fine. I believe the wood is oak, and there is some tiger striping as can be seen in the pictures. It's in good shape for it's age, there is some chipping of the veneer at the bottom and the marble is chipped on each end and there is a crack toward the center(you can see this in the pictures) Local pickup only.

Beautiful. Functional buffet with carved beveled mirror. This piece is in very good condition. One of the smaller drawers is missing half of it's bottom, but has not been repaired because of inability to locate proper replacement material. Four of the original pulls are missing. The mirror does have one blemish. And the front edge of the base top has small dents, indicating use. This was a gently used and functional piece that has been said to come from one of the homes of Brigham Young, though we have not been able to verify that claim, yet.

Any color variations in the photos are caused by my iPhone camera. Please see the master shots. There are no variations in color at all. This is a antique buffet from 1880 to 1900. This buffet was my grandfathers. He got it some time around 1900. It has been sitting in my parents home for at least 60 years. We believe it was made in Europe. It is a massive piece of furniture. It features a total of five wood carved Griffin faces. A large beveled mirror with curved edges and a 72" by 24" table top. There are two large ornately carved winged Griffins with feet on both sides of the large beveled glass mirror. The mirror measures 57" by 21" There are three heavily carved drawers. One is completely covered with a Griffin face. And the other two are covered in floral type wood carvings. The large"main" drawer is cover ... morewith more floral type carving. for sale is a very nice antique solid quartersawn oak buffet made in 1904. it has a nice backspash with a carved crest and the original beveled mirror. it also features twisted legs and twisted columns as part of the back splash. it has double yoke stretcher which adds additional beauty to the piece and additional support to the legs which is really not needed i don't think. it is rock solid with no wiggles. Wobbles, loose joints, or any other issues to report that would be deemed detrimental to the buffet. it features abundant quartersawn oak flake over the entire piece. it has a long drawer across the top with dividers in it and two large drawers below it in the center and of course as you see two doors, one on either side, that expose a large storage area which has a half shelf which may be put in if desired. the i have the holder ... morepins for the shelves. all the locks are extremely clean and quite functional. the drops on the drawers are large and solid brass and are heavy since they are solid. the buffet is 60 inches wide, 39.5 inches to the top of the cabinet portion and 54.25 inches to the top of the crest of the back splash. it is 24 inches deep. it moves easily on its original metal casters. the piece is rock solid, all original with no missing parts or pieces and no repairs that is see. it is near mint condition. it matches a table i now have listed as well as a set of 6 chairs. i tried the set together with no luck, so i have busted it up and will sell the pieces separately. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at buyer's expense. good luck. fyi. I have owned this beautiful oak sideboard for about 10 years. It is in nice shape with the original finish. It has a few minor condition issues(see photos) Nothing serious. Measures 86 1/2 inches wide, 23 1/4 inches deep, and 51 inches tall. It is made to come apart. So it is much easier to move than it appears. My Father told me it was common for old furniture to come apart in northern Europe as stairways and doors were often narrow. The family I bought it from purchased it in the 1950's from a friend who imported antiques from Belgium. FRENCH VICTORIAN CARVED OAK BUFFET WITH MARBLE TOP
This very special piece. Which dates from the 1890s, is part of an estate collection. It’s decorated with gracefully carved ribbon and bow motifs, with three framed, beveled mirrors. It has its original delicately detailed hardware and beautiful golden finish. While this buffet is grand and has plenty of storage room. It’s compact enough to fit nicely in a relatively small space. It measures 19 ¾” deep by 43 ½”wide by 78 ¾” high. Similar pieces with much less interesting carvings sell for $2,000 or more. Antique tiger oak beveled serpentine mirror carved griffins buffet / sideboard
Here is a fantastic tiger oak buffet/ sideboard with fully carved griffins at the ends of the beveled serpentine mirror. Its ALL original. My grandparents had this when it was new. It has been in my family since day one. Im the last one to have it and its time to let it go. It has been refinished only ONCE. Just re varnished about 30+ ago. Very clean inside and out. No stains, Drawers slide easily! The buffet measures 48 in wide. 24 in deep, and 56 in to top of mirror. 40 in to top of buffet, mirror is almost 17 in tall itself, the serpentine mirror is 3.5 in deep itself and the fully carved griffins are 9.5 in tall and 2.5 in thick. The only things missing are the key to the drawers and some of the metal tab stoppers for the drawers but they can be replaced. The feet are carved lion paws with the wood wheel casters. The back of the mirror ... morehas the number 613 painted on back. Which is probably the model number and the words Doll Class, which may mean the grade of quality of the piece. Its an excellent quality buffet. ALL the tiger oak veneer is present and in excellent condition, This piece needs no work and the mirror is screwed to the buffet with 10 wood screws( it comes off for easy moving) ONLY the bottom linen drawer needed to be re glued& re nailed, the linens were very heavy. Selling a beautiful antique French Provincial side board with wood/glass upper displays(you are buying the entire piece as shown) We recently purchased several large pieces from a local winery that is changing ownership and renovating their tasting room. All of the pieces were originally brought in at a great expense from France to showcase wine. While we love this piece. It is too large for our small shop and we are selling it. It is currently being used to display some of our antique porcelains. This is a very large and intricately carved sideboard/cabinet. It was made in two pieces- upper and lower half due to the large overall size. It is made of pine and white oak with beautiful carvings throughout. It dates to about 1880. Amazing Carved Oak Antique Server or Buffet Made in England
This is an amazing very heavily carved Sever. It was made in England circa 1880. To the back and base there are carved faces maybe family relatives,to the base there are 3 drawers for some reason there are no handles you open them from underneath with your finger there is a secret hole, this could be for safety children opening. The center of the base they call this a dog kennel and either side there are doors. The top comes of the base so its easy to transport. To the top either side there are very heavily carved fish above there is a gallery with turned small pillars. Great piece I don`t think you will ever see another one.
