This is a solid piece that can be used in multiple rooms and for multiple purposes. Because of its' size. This is a great piece to hold a flat screen tv. It measures 36 5/8" high x 45 11/15" wide x 18 5/8" deep. This has a single drawer over a pair of cupboard doors. The doors have a lock and a key. The lock is not working properly(or it is the wrong key) This has a cross banded top and the doors have an inlaid fan medallion made with satinwood. Made in England, Regency period circa 1820, Mahogany, Keys included, Beautiful patina, Antique brass hardware(not original) Age split to top. Purely cosmetic, Very sturdy, This unique sideboard was made during the Regency period in England. Sometime around 1820. In keeping with classic Regency period design, this sideboard was crafted with a series of large, bold features that have helped not only to make it a beautiful specimen of English craftsmanship, but also a strong and enduring furniture piece. For example, the wood used in this sideboard is ... moreincredibly thick(note the large legs) and of course all of it is solid. The flame mahogany, which has developed a lovely patina, displays an incredibly rich grain and complexion. The solid brass handles have been replaced at some point, but they are antique themselves and go well with the Regency period. The two center drawers, right large drawer, and left cabinet door all lock with included keys. The right drawer has a fitted interior that was used for holding wine bottles. There is an age split to the top on the back right hand side, but this is very minor and purely cosmetic. A picture is included of it. The top has minor marks throughout that show as distressing that gives the piece authenticity of its age without detracting from it. Overall this sideboard is very sturdy and is a wonderful value for such a wonderful piece. Plenty of storage space in this sideboard. The left drawer is fitted to hold wine bottles. The drawers are jointed with hand cut dovetails. These antique brass pulls are not original to the piece. But are consistent with the style. The thick. Turned legs are one of the main characteristics of the Regency style. The mahogany has developed a beautiful patina.

Antique Hepplewhite Mahogany Serpentine Sideboard 1800's Inlaid Federal Server
Gorgeous Hepplewhite Federal style sideboard. A serpentine front and tapered legs create clean. Classic lines. Inlaid borders and designs contrast beautifully with the deep-colored mahogany finish. Two large drawers on the left and one in the center provide plenty of storage space in addition to the lower cabinet. False drawer fronts on the right open on brass hinges to provide storage for taller items. Brass drawer pulls and key surrounds. Unfortunately two of the pulls do not match, and were likely replaced at some point. This sturdy piece has dovetail joints in the drawers and mortise-and-tenon joints visible in the back. Overall. The sideboard is in very good condition. There is a dark area on the top as well as some light scratching and other wear consitent with age and use. There is also some wear to the feet. It has a gorgeous base with three roll-front flame mahogany dovetail drawers with big glass knobs on the top row, and on the bottom are two demi-lune shaped flame mahogany doors, and three flame mahogany hand-cut dovetail curved front drawers. It has empire scroll posts going down into an empire curl foot, and a thick banded top goes up against the molded flame mahogany triple-section four-post backsplash. It does come with a key. The top has been re-sprayed to remove nicks and dings, and the front has been re-sprayed in a satin sheen lacquer to bring out the look of the flame mahogany. Other than a few nicks and dings along the top of the backsplash molding and the edge of the top, it is in unbelievable condition overall for its age. The overall size is 72 inches long, 23 inches deep, 41 inches high to the top of the base, and 51.5 inches to the top of the backsplash. The backsplash even has a plate groove so you can display plates on top. The center curved front drawers are 24 inches wide, and the doors are 15 inches wide. This a 19th century antique mahogany sideboard with some solid mahogany. Some figured mahogany veneers and pine secondary. There are two drawers over what appears to be three doors but is actually two doors. The right hand drawer is a lined drawer for silver ware and the bottom section can be totally locked. Drawers are hand dovetailed and the bottoms of the drawers are chamfered. The columns are like double ended C scrolls and the feet are simple.typical mid 1800's Empire Revival piece. Height to top = 40 1/2" Width = 57" Depth at deepest = 24" The lock sets are original. They are the"same" lockset in that they are both either left handed or right handed as the key needs to be reversed to work each lock. They lock easily. The key has been replaced. There are areas of missing and damaged veneer on the base. The drawer pulls are not original. And the drawer locks have been removed. One of the pads(back left) the base rests on is missing. The spindle detail on the left side of the base under the marble is missing. There is some silver loss to the mirrors. CIRCA 1870'S ANTIQUE FLAME MAHOGANY SIDEBOARD CABINET STYLE OF ADAM REVIVAL
Here is an absolutely spectacular find from an old Charleston family estate auction and in very nice condition for it's age. a circa 1870's in the Style of Adams Revival(part of the Regency Revival movement from 1880 to 1920) when the expanding middle class became attracted to the light and elegant designs. As a contrast to the heavier and more cluttered interiors which had dominated their homes during the second half of the 19th century. Typical of Style of Adam pieces, this sideboard has Classical Roman decorative motifs, such as framed medallions, urns and floral swags. This delightful sideboard incorporated beautiful flame mahogany and crotch mahogany veneers into the absolutely perfect mantle across the back and the front door panels. I've included a number of photographs in an attempt to accurately represent the design, ... morequality, condition, construction and overall beauty of this special old piece but pictures just don't do it justice. It is made of mahogany, with beautifully carved embellishments and a gorgeous, flawless large focal mirror. The mahogany has a rich grain and deep lustre. Which is complemented by the burl walnut banding and solid brass hardware. The serpentine design looks quite elegant with the square-tapered legs, which end in spade feet. Single middle drawer with two additional drawers on the sides all with dove-tailed joints. There is locks on all the drawers but unfortunately the keys are no longer with the piece of furniture.
