The sideboard is in amazing condition, with very little sign of wear ... moreat all. It is the original finish and the mirror has the original glass intact. There are a few light surface scratches to the finish from general use, but it has been very well cared for, and is in amazing condition. I am unsure of the exact age or manufacture of the piece, but I do know that was originally contructed between 1870 and 1899. The sideboard has short reverse scroll feet with beautiful carving that runs up the side supports from the feet. The sideboard has carved accents on the front of the doors, at the outer edges of the large drawer, with matching carved details on the top mirrored frame and pillar supports.

Measurements are as follows: 84"W x ... more69"T X 24"D. Weight: approx. 150-200lbs. There are a couple of small trim pieces where the backsplash meets the base that are missing, a couple that are loose. The top section of the backsplash has seperated and a couple small pieces of carved trimwork are missing as a result(can be seen in the pics) There is a small a chip on the front left edge of the table surface. One of the locks is missing from one of the doors and there is a stain on the top that can be clearly seen in the photo. Im sure there are other bumps/bruises but nothing glaring. All that having been said, this piece is really stunning in person and all of the condition issues are fairly simple repairs. The flaws I mentioned are only noticed upon close scrutiny and have never been pointed out to me by anyone who has seen it in person. Original finish is in good shape, just as it appears in the photos. The color, in person, is probably somewhere between the lightest and darkest photos. The carving on this piece is AWESOME! The quartersawn grain is heavy and pronounced. Bought this piece and the matching server, which I will be listing soon) to restore but I am out of time/space. I feel I have a reasonable opening bid on this piece but if it does not sell, I will restore it and the price will go up considerably. Personally, im kinda getting burned out on the figurals and winged griffins that usually adorn pieces of this quality so its nice to see a great piece without that typical subject matter. Interior side shelves measure 17 inches long and 7 1/2 inches wide. 2 side doors swing out to the side. Main body interior is 16 inches deep by 48 inches long by 30 inches tall. 2 front drawers with two side drawers. Swing out to the side as shown! Solid oak everywhere! Even the drawer linings. Draw sides and back are all oak and not an inferior wood. The interior is all oak. The doors lock but I have lost the key! Currently all the doors are unlocked! Inside at the back somebody cut a hole out. Not sure why that was done but it is there! The only newish part is an interior shelf which is in the main body. I believe it is still solid oak but it lacks the patina of the original. The glass is not damaged anywhere. The marble has exquisite shading and color. With pink, grey and purple variations. It has light scratches on the top and minor tiny chips on the edge as expected for a piece this age. It is not broken anywhere! The carvings are so wonderful with urns. Horns, ribbons, roses, tassels, swags and leaves. Both front panels have cracks on the decoration as seen in the photographs. Very reluctantly for sale! Local pick up preferred but we will work with your shipper or we can get you a quote from a company we use. Coast to coast is probably around $400 to $500 dollars. Non smoking home. The buffet has two drawers, and two doors that open to large inner compartments with one shelf on each side. The doors and drawers all have the original brass hardware on them. The spot where the mirrored top fits onto the buffet can clearly be seen in the wear at the top of the buffet. The drawers have dovetail joints. We have been buying some really nice items on the Cape lately, just like this piece. This particular piece has a breakfront where the marble steps out in the middle, carved pillars coming down through the center door, outside doors and right across the top is all burl walnut with dainty inlaid trim. The two doors open on the base to expose a shelf interior. The center is the mirror panel with the pillars and is not a door. You have a double door front and a center with carved pillars. The looking glass is scratched and worn, which adds charm and character. The inlaid appears to be in nice shape.

This elegant English sideboard is made of walnut and is in original finish. It is hand carved with grapes and leaves and has dovetail construction. This is a quality. Well built piece of furniture. The mirror is beveled and has intact silver and the brass hardware is original. There are 3 drawers with 2 doors on either side. One door houses 2 pullouts and the other has shelves. ANTIQUE 1870's VICTORIAN RENAISSANCE CARVED MAHOGANY MARBLE TOP SIDEBOARD w/ MIRROR The base is mahogany veneers with solid mahogany carvings. The upper piece above the marble is solid mahogany. There are areas of missing and damaged veneer on the base. The drawer pulls are not original. And the drawer locks have been removed. One of the pads(back left) the base rests on is missing. The spindle detail on the left side of the base under the marble is missing. There is some silver loss to the mirrors. The marble has some staining and a few scratches that don't detract from the piece. The dimensions are 46" wide x 21" deep x 74" tall overall and 39" tall to the top of the marble. We are pleased to offer to the market this stunning antique English cabinet. The maker of this piece is unknown to us. We believe it to be from the late 1800's. A beautiful. Unique and functional piece the attributes of this are numerous. This is made from rosewood and veneer. The gallery top boasts a beautiful marble slab in amazing condition. Above the gallery there is a cabinet with glass doors. The doors have a pretty bell flower with ribbon& bow motif painted on them. This matches the inlaid motif on the base doors. There is an oval shaped beveled mirror between the doors. This has a key for the upper doors and they do lock. Beneath the cabinet doors the backsplash has a larger beveled mirror. The mirror is flanked by shelves mounted on columns with brass accenting. The base section of this has a single drawer above two doors ... morethat open to reveal additional storage space. The drawer has dove tail seams. The drawer has a lock but we do not have the key and the key that locks the upper doors does not work on this lock. Empire II Mahogany Sideboard with Lion's Paw Feet and Full MIrror
For sale is a mahogany sideboard from the American Empire II period(mid-1800s) The sideboard came from a religious building in Portland. ME several years ago and has been in my home ever since that time. It contains three small drawers over two large drawers over four doors. The sideboard has columns at either end, with lion's paw feet at the bottom of each column. The sideboard has a full mirror that sits upon the backsplash at the rear of the serving area. I believe the mirror to be original glass, in excellent condition(full length mirrors are quite uncommon in these sideboards) This is a fantastic piece of furniture, and it is in marvelous condition, with the two notable exceptions: there are some markings above the upper left drawer(presumably from returning silverware into the drawer, which contains an insert for segregating silverware ... moreor other items) and the removal of the overlay strip between the two center doors below(I have the strip. it simply needs to be re-attached. this is damage created by movers in my recent move) The sideboard comes with the skeleton key for the doors. Relief carved ring and flower motif with Textured background. Layers of Carved Moldings and Burled Moldings and Panels. Raised shelf and display area. There is one piece of molding that needs to be re-glued. Visible in photo. Three framed panels with the two on the outside with carved cherry tree branches and the center with a burled panel The sides have lots of detail with Eastlake style pierce carvings of flowers. The large center mirror is beveled and in mint condition. The marble is sausage and original with no cracks or breaks. This 19th century Oak Sideboard measures 78 inches tall to the top finale. The bottom piece measures 39 1/2 inches tall, 45 1/2 inches wide and 21 1/2 inches deep. This antique golden oak server is solid in great condition. The original mirror is beveled; the locks are intact on the drawers but we do not have the key. This piece has been refinished at some point in time and the finish is just beautiful. 1890's Oak Sideboard Buffet w/Barley Twist pillars and carved bevelled mirror
Beautiful. Functional buffet with carved beveled mirror. This piece is in very good condition. One of the smaller drawers is missing half of it's bottom, but has not been repaired because of inability to locate proper replacement material. Four of the original pulls are missing. The mirror does have one blemish. And the front edge of the base top has small dents, indicating use. This was a gently used and functional piece that has been said to come from one of the homes of Brigham Young, though we have not been able to verify that claim, yet.

This is an absolutely magnificent painted antique Victorian mirror backed sideboard. This amazing piece of furniture dates from around the 1890's and is made from solid Walnut. So is extremely heavy. It's an incredibly well made piece of period furniture and has masses of storage making it really useful. It consists of 5 drawers and four cupboards as illustrated in the pictures. Some of the drawers are lined with baize and some aren't. There is a large cupboard on either side that flank two smaller cupboard doors in the middle. It has all it's original brass fixtures and fittings. Although there are locks, we no longer have a key. It has a beautiful mirrored back that consists of 3 quality beveled edged mirrors that are framed by 2 dimensional Corinthian columns. Antique tiger oak beveled serpentine mirror carved griffins buffet / sideboard
Here is a fantastic tiger oak buffet/ sideboard with fully carved griffins at the ends of the beveled serpentine mirror. Its ALL original. My grandparents had this when it was new. It has been in my family since day one. Im the last one to have it and its time to let it go. It has been refinished only ONCE. Just re varnished about 30+ ago. Very clean inside and out. No stains, Drawers slide easily! The buffet measures 48 in wide. 24 in deep, and 56 in to top of mirror. 40 in to top of buffet, mirror is almost 17 in tall itself, the serpentine mirror is 3.5 in deep itself and the fully carved griffins are 9.5 in tall and 2.5 in thick. The only things missing are the key to the drawers and some of the metal tab stoppers for the drawers but they can be replaced. The feet are carved lion paws with the wood wheel casters. The back of the mirror ... morehas the number 613 painted on back. Which is probably the model number and the words Doll Class, which may mean the grade of quality of the piece. Its an excellent quality buffet. ALL the tiger oak veneer is present and in excellent condition, This piece needs no work and the mirror is screwed to the buffet with 10 wood screws( it comes off for easy moving) ONLY the bottom linen drawer needed to be re glued& re nailed, the linens were very heavy. A very wonderful antique. Circa 1890's, quartersawn oak mirrored sideboard with deep carvings of griffin shelf supports, and applied deep carvings of scrolled acanthus leaves. Two piece construction. The case is on front carved stylized paw feet. From the griffin heads to the finials of the mirror frame are carved oak chains. Large beveled mirror. There is a long oak plate bar on the shelf. The two top drawers, and the long drawer beneath, have unusual brass exotic crescent drawer pulls. The right drawer is divided for flatware. The bottom doors each open to a compartment. The secondary wood is plain oak. The sideboard measures 6'3" 75" tall by 5'6" 66" wide by 2' deep. This Circa 1865 Sideboard is really beautiful. I had it restored to it's original beauty. It is very solid and hand carved with Brass handles- all original. The mirror is original. Size is approximately 51" Wide X 77" High X 25" Deep. I am not sure of the wood type. But I believe it is either Mahogany or Walnut. This is a work of art by a wonderful craftsman. The Drawers are hand cut in front and pegged in back. I had this piece restored and paid over $2500 for the restoration alone. This piece is valued at $4200. This is a sacrifice. This Buffet belonged to my wife's Great Great Grand Father. Who came to Stillwater Oklahoma in 1888 just before the landrun. His name was Jim Johns he helped with the founding of Stillwater and had the third business in Stillwater. Jim Johns Livery and Auctioneer. He was also the first Justice of the Peace in Stillwater and ran for two terms. After settling in Stillwater he bought his Furniture from helmers and had it shipped here, which shoud have been between 1890-1900. We also have all of the documentation to prove when he came to Stillwater, we have all of his property tax receipts. Because of the size and weight it is listed as local pick up only, but if someone wants it we can make arrangements for shipping at your expence. For your bidding consideration today. We have a fabulous child size side board. This piece is made of oak, with a drawer and two doors at the bottom. There is a mirror on her top, with a shelf and a possible candle holder on each side. The top of the piece is curved,with bulls eye type accents below the curve. The doors also have the same type of bulls eye on each door. The piece is in good antique condition with age appropriate wear and use. There are some age related flaws, such as finish wear, corner nicks at wear scattered throughout, a repair on one door at the top, the mirror is probably a replacement. The knobs on the drawer are missing, but the knobs on the doors are plain wood, so it should be easy to find replacements for the drawer. There is some worm hole damage here and there, mostly on the inside, but a few spots on the exterior ... moretoo. Based on the paper tag, it was made in 1899, however, it is not like most of the furniture that this high end American cabinetmaker or furniture company was building at the time.
