Depth 23 inches across ... morefront marble. Mirror top to marble base. 26 inches. 46 inches from floor to marble base. Interior side shelves measure 17 inches long and 7 1/2 inches wide. 2 side doors swing out to the side. Main body interior is 16 inches deep by 48 inches long by 30 inches tall. 2 front drawers with two side drawers. Swing out to the side as shown! Solid oak everywhere! Even the drawer linings. Draw sides and back are all oak and not an inferior wood. The interior is all oak. The doors lock but I have lost the key! Currently all the doors are unlocked! Inside at the back somebody cut a hole out. Not sure why that was done but it is there! The only newish part is an interior shelf which is in the main body. I believe it is still solid oak but it lacks the patina of the original. The glass is not damaged anywhere. The marble has exquisite shading and color. With pink, grey and purple variations. It has light scratches on the top and minor tiny chips on the edge as expected for a piece this age. It is not broken anywhere! The carvings are so wonderful with urns. Horns, ribbons, roses, tassels, swags and leaves. Both front panels have cracks on the decoration as seen in the photographs. Very reluctantly for sale! I really have no idea what year this piece is or what it is worth or even if it is an serving buffet. Not sure of the wood but I would guess it might be walnut. Here is an exquisite. Massive, Antique 19th cent. American(probably Horner) quarter sawn oak sideboard buffet server. Straight out of a Long Island estate. Was in the same family for 70 years. This piece was made around 1880 and represents carved oak at its best. Incredibly carved with lions' heads. Paws, ribbons, and scrolls. Doors are all carved scrolls with center cartouche. They are separated by 2 columns of carved ribbons and fruit. The drawers above have handles of lions' faces. The top is crowned with an incredible lion head. The only condition issues are a small ring stain and a darker area on the top front right. Also a thin slit in the wood appx 18 inch long. These are very minor and can easily be fixed. It is French from the 1880's- 1920(French revival period? It is solid oak or walnut It has brass hardware Also noted is that there are no known problems with the piece- nothing on it is broken. One key is included The hutch is 8 ft high. 21" deep, and 57" wide at the widest The bottom part is 36" high by 52" wide There is one shelf inside the bottom part and then the bottom shelf. It measures 15 1/2" deep The top part is 51" high by 52" wide. The top part has 2 shelves inside plus the bottom. These shelves measure 9" deep. There is an ornate plate rack on the back of the serving surface. There are beautiful. Ornate carvings ... moreon all areas of this beautiful piece. There are elegant brass drawer pulls. 18th century solid oak Butlers Hutch This was purchased over 30 years ago at the Antique Buyers guild( The old Helms Bakery L.A) We where told at the time of the purchase that it dates to the late 1700's and was made in the Adam period French in origin. It is a impressive piece of furniture. It is all hand carved solid oak. The cabinets each have one shelf inside bottom is sagging so I placed a piece of hard board in there. It has a incredible dark patina. It measures approx. 94 1/2" tall 47" wide under 24" deep The hutch is attached to the base using dowels So it lifts off the base From what I remember they only stick out a inch You need at least a 8' ceiling. My home was built in the late 1940's so the ceilings are 8'2" a newer home might be a tight fit. Years ago because I was concerned about earthquakes ... moreI attached 2) 2"x4"s to the back to make it sturdier. They are stained to match. So for those of you with a tight fit. I think it could be set up without the dowels across the back because of the 2" x4"s the 2 spindles in the front supporting the hutch also come off. There are dowels sticking out both ends. You could leave one end in and maybe put a screw trough the bottom. One other modification I noticed will up inside the cabinet is that wood was added on both sides under the base's top( I would guess the top may have been sagging under the weight of the Hutch) hence the addition. There are 2 small dowels missing on the rail on the inside( good place) hardly noticeable. One small piece gone off the top. Again hardly noticeable. I didn't catch it when I bought it. Other then that as you can see it is impressive without being over bearing. I don't need to sell so I don't plan on dropping my prices. This price is what I want to part with it. Offered here is a gorgeous Antique French Carved Walnut Buffet circa 1880. This piece features the crest with Northwind mask. Then upper cabinet with foliate carved panels and display shelf raised on baluster form supports over a three drawer, three door base cabinet similarly relief carved with fruit filled urns and foliate panels. This beautiful buffet measures 110" high x 76" wide x 23" deep and would be the focal piece of any room. The piece is in very nice condition, but it does have a few flaws expected in a piece its age. Purely cosmetic, Very sturdy, This unique sideboard was made during the Regency period in England. Sometime around 1820. In keeping with classic Regency period design, this sideboard was crafted with a series of large, bold features that have helped not only to make it a beautiful specimen of English craftsmanship, but also a strong and enduring furniture piece. For example, the wood used in this sideboard is ... moreincredibly thick(note the large legs) and of course all of it is solid. The flame mahogany, which has developed a lovely patina, displays an incredibly rich grain and complexion. The solid brass handles have been replaced at some point, but they are antique themselves and go well with the Regency period. The two center drawers, right large drawer, and left cabinet door all lock with included keys. The right drawer has a fitted interior that was used for holding wine bottles. There is an age split to the top on the back right hand side, but this is very minor and purely cosmetic. A picture is included of it. The top has minor marks throughout that show as distressing that gives the piece authenticity of its age without detracting from it. Overall this sideboard is very sturdy and is a wonderful value for such a wonderful piece. Plenty of storage space in this sideboard. The left drawer is fitted to hold wine bottles. The drawers are jointed with hand cut dovetails. These antique brass pulls are not original to the piece. But are consistent with the style. The thick. Including panelled sides and dovetail joints in the three drawers. Full length door hinges and ornate metal drawer pulls accent the front opf the piece as well as a simple floral carving on the valanced skirt. Three drawers and a generously sized lower cabinet make this a practical storage piece as well. The sideboard most liekly dates from around the 1840's. Overall. This piece is in very good condition, especially considering its age. There are some noticeable scratches and wear to the top surface and a few areas with eveidence of worm damage. Stunning antique oak French Provincial style buffet. This generously sized piece has plenty of storage space and two shelves that could be used for serving. The fronts of the two main doors are carved with a motif of ribbons and musical instruments and there are simple flowers adorning the valanced and scrolled skirt. Panelled doors. Sides and back. Drawer pulls and other hardware look like antiqued brass. Each of the narrow side cabinets have two shelves that come with them, but are not currently installed. The back of the lower shelf has been covered in a white textured paper that is very pretty, but likely not original to the piece. Exquisite antique hand carved English hutch / dresser / buffet / sideboard oval
INCREDIBLE hand carved English hutch/buffet/sideboard just waiting for that perfect spot in your home. Made entirely of beautiful dark wood. This piece has been meticulously carved by hand, and no opportunity for adding elegance has been missed. Includes all original hardware and mirror. This sideboard separates into two pieces in case you only want to use the buffet portion on the bottom. The sides of the hutch include intricately carved finials and small"shelves" for displaying your favorite small items(I used antique perfume bottles) and small painted plates. There is a small crack along the left side of the buffet close to where it meets the hutch, which I assume is due to its travel from England. Two carved doors on bottom open to reveal a spacious interior with original shelf, and two drawers open smoothly to store smaller ... moreitems. This a 19th century antique mahogany sideboard with some solid mahogany. Some figured mahogany veneers and pine secondary. There are two drawers over what appears to be three doors but is actually two doors. The right hand drawer is a lined drawer for silver ware and the bottom section can be totally locked. Drawers are hand dovetailed and the bottoms of the drawers are chamfered. The columns are like double ended C scrolls and the feet are simple.typical mid 1800's Empire Revival piece. Height to top = 40 1/2" Width = 57" Depth at deepest = 24" The lock sets are original. They are the"same" lockset in that they are both either left handed or right handed as the key needs to be reversed to work each lock. They lock easily. The key has been replaced. AMERICAN PRIMITIVE ANTIQUE BUFFET/SERVER/CABINET This listing is for an Antique Server. It has been in the owner's family for the last sixty years. It comes from a household filled with many Country/Shaker/ Mission/ Primitive AUTHENTIC antiques. It is beautifully hand carved with spindle legs adding warmth and usefulness to any home. We are not experts. And after much research we are still not certain if it is from the late 1800's or early 1900's. It is NOT a reproduction. It has a solid Primitive Americana look and feel. It seems to be either Jacobean or Tudor in style. There are some numbers stamped on the back. Some finishing nails and flathead screws were used in it's construction. The drawer is held together by dovetail grooves. See photos) There is some wear. But there is no evidence of any repairs or restoration. Beautiful and well preserved sideboard buffet. Red/Brown Marble with not cracks or chips. There are ink stains in the upper drawers. But this is part of its history and character. Skeleton key lock in perfect working order. The detail if the spindles and the upper hand carved piece are exquisite. The marble is approximately 1/4 inch thick and is recessed into the top. It is flush with the top. This piece is solid wood and doesn't appear to have been refinished or altered from it original state. The exact date of this piece is unknown. We are pleased to offer to the market this stunning antique English cabinet. The maker of this piece is unknown to us. We believe it to be from the late 1800's. A beautiful. Unique and functional piece the attributes of this are numerous. This is made from rosewood and veneer. The gallery top boasts a beautiful marble slab in amazing condition. Above the gallery there is a cabinet with glass doors. The doors have a pretty bell flower with ribbon& bow motif painted on them. This matches the inlaid motif on the base doors. There is an oval shaped beveled mirror between the doors. This has a key for the upper doors and they do lock. Beneath the cabinet doors the backsplash has a larger beveled mirror. The mirror is flanked by shelves mounted on columns with brass accenting. The base section of this has a single drawer above two doors ... morethat open to reveal additional storage space. The drawer has dove tail seams. The drawer has a lock but we do not have the key and the key that locks the upper doors does not work on this lock. There is a faux lock mechanism on the bottom doors as well. With no lock mechanism inside. This is strictly decorative and not functional. The upper and lower lock areas all have brass hardware on them.
