Made in England, Regency period circa 1820, Mahogany, Keys included, Beautiful patina, Antique brass hardware(not original) Age split to top. Purely cosmetic, Very sturdy, This unique sideboard was made during the Regency period in England. Sometime around 1820. In keeping with classic Regency period design, this sideboard was crafted with a series of large, bold features that have helped not only to make it a beautiful specimen of English craftsmanship, but also a strong and enduring furniture piece. For example, the wood used in this sideboard is ... moreincredibly thick(note the large legs) and of course all of it is solid. The flame mahogany, which has developed a lovely patina, displays an incredibly rich grain and complexion. The solid brass handles have been replaced at some point, but they are antique themselves and go well with the Regency period. The two center drawers, right large drawer, and left cabinet door all lock with included keys. The right drawer has a fitted interior that was used for holding wine bottles. There is an age split to the top on the back right hand side, but this is very minor and purely cosmetic. A picture is included of it. The top has minor marks throughout that show as distressing that gives the piece authenticity of its age without detracting from it. Overall this sideboard is very sturdy and is a wonderful value for such a wonderful piece. Plenty of storage space in this sideboard. The left drawer is fitted to hold wine bottles. The drawers are jointed with hand cut dovetails. These antique brass pulls are not original to the piece. But are consistent with the style. The thick. Turned legs are one of the main characteristics of the Regency style. The mahogany has developed a beautiful patina.

This fine 19th century piece offers early hand-cut dovetailed ends on the drawers. Powerful S scroll front shelf supports, ring turned back supports, a large crotch mahogany stretcher shelf and C scroll front feet. Its features beautiful classic lines of the Empire period. This grand 19th century piece measures 39 1/2 inches in height.48 inches wide and 25 inches deep and weighs approximately 130 lbs. The stretcher shelf at the base measures 47 1/4 inches wide by 18 inches deep and is 10 1/2 inches high from the floor. Both drawers do have their locks intact but we do not have the key. This a 19th century antique mahogany sideboard with some solid mahogany. Some figured mahogany veneers and pine secondary. There are two drawers over what appears to be three doors but is actually two doors. The right hand drawer is a lined drawer for silver ware and the bottom section can be totally locked. Drawers are hand dovetailed and the bottoms of the drawers are chamfered. The columns are like double ended C scrolls and the feet are simple.typical mid 1800's Empire Revival piece. Height to top = 40 1/2" Width = 57" Depth at deepest = 24" The lock sets are original. They are the"same" lockset in that they are both either left handed or right handed as the key needs to be reversed to work each lock. They lock easily. The key has been replaced. Stunning Antique Mahogany English Mirrored Sideboard, Buffet, Server, Dresser
This stunning sideboard/dresser/buffet travelled from England to America with my parents when they moved here in the 1970's. And took pride of place in their home for the remainder of their lives. It is now time to liquidate their assets, and pass on the pleasure of ownership of such a beautiful and versatile piece to someone who appreciates the beauty, history and craftsmanship of high quality furniture. It is made of mahogany, with beautifully carved embellishments and a gorgeous, flawless large focal mirror. The bottom section has six dove-tailed drawers, and the top section consists of a large focal mirror flanked on each side by two small shelves. Above the main mirror is another shelf, ab ove which is a smaller mirror. Both mirrors have bevelled edges. The top section is attatched to the bottom part with screws, so it will come ... moreapart for easier moving. Dimensions: Length side to side: approximately 63.5" Depth/width back to front: approximately 19.5" Height: approximately 80.5" height of the bottom section is about 35.5" And height of the top section is about 50" The handle on the bottom right drawer is missing. The top has shapely openwork galleries dovetailed together and graduated spool turned posts ending in delicate finials.The shelves and base are framed with decorative beaded arrow design moldings. The dovetailed drawer has a desk and inkwell cubbies inside.There is an age crack in the desk top(inside the drawer) The cabinet base has the original shelf. This piece is a very desirable and rare diminutive size. The craftsmanship is outstanding.It has a lovely patina. The sideboard shows some minor age appropriate wear including the age cracks in the veneer on the right side of the base. The exposed woodwork is a mix of solid mahogany and thick flame mahogany veneering that is finished to a beautiful. Warm color. All parts are straight and solid and fit together as they should. The doors fit well. Operate smoothly and lock securely. Overall the cabinet is in very good antique condition. There are a few minor cracks that are very typical of old mahogany woodwork(see photos) There is also a metal bracket on the backside of one of the legs that was put there to support the leg because of a small amount of old dry rot(see photos) There are some worm holes on the back of the cabinet. Gorgeous Mahogany Buffet from 1800s with locking doors, drawers
For local pick-up in Houston area only. Purchased at the Antiques Pavilion in River Oaks 15 years ago for $1500. Beautiful piece I hate to sell but recently inherited my mom's buffet and can't keep both. This is prettier than what mom had but. Hey, I can't get rid of Mom's! Has some flaws. As you would expect of a 200 + year old piece. But overall, very nice and utilitarian. Side doors lock. I have the key. Felt lined silverware drawer. The dealer told me it was authentic antique. A potential buyer told me it was a reproduction. The buyer stranger had his own motivations. That said. I make no guarantees as I have never had it appraised. However. It is priced at a bargain, be it an antique or not. It is lovely. Stately, and worth every penny and more of the asking price. Local pick-up only.

Beautiful Circa 1830-1840 Antique American Empire Buffet Server Flame Mahogany
This is a Beautiful Form Antique American Empire Circa 1830- 1840 Dining Room Server in Striking Flame Mahogany Veneer. The piece has wonderful curved top drawers with hardware. There is no key present, I believe the knobs are original. The doors swing out to reveal a large interior. There has been a small repair to the back left top as shown, a triangular repair to the corner. There is a modern door latch as shown. The server measures 44 1/2" tall, 43 1/8" wide and 20 1/4" deep at the top. The feet make the server measure 23 1/3" deep at the bottom. It has a carved-out front with beautiful inlays. There is a small drawer on each side of a large, middle drawer(good for keeping your silver) There is a deep. Up for sale is an absolutely gorgeous period piece of furniture. In the Empire style. This large mahogany veneer beauty came from an old Manhatten, NY estate just a couple months ago here to Maine where it has sat in the hallway of a home I just picked. The grandson I bought it from inherited from his grandmothers estate in Manhatten. This piece is completely original. All the handles and key hole covers are in place, match, and beautiful! The front feet as you can see are huge carved hairy paws! Back two legs are the normal regular round legs from this period. The chest has veneered columns in front. Beautiful carvings adorn the top of each. 2 over 3 drawers. Solid back with the old boards. Typical of these pieces, there is a few spots of veneer damage. Here is an absolutely delightful large antique federal style sideboard or buffet with gorgeous flame mahogany veneers. Columns with detailed carving above and below with very detailed fabulous carved lion's feet on the front legs. The large lovely cabinet has a really nice top surface with a number of faint or light scratches but no major gauges, stains, chips or other serious damage to the top as I attempt to show in my photographs. It is a somewhat oversize functional piece of furniture and perfect for a front entry hall, hallway, dining room or any room in your home or business. It has three drawers and three large open cabinets with lots of extra storage in a classic 19th century Federal style sideboard in very nice condition and ready to make a statement in your home or office. The original metal hardware is all intact and sort of ... morea floral, perhaps a peony, in shape and are attached through into recessed holes within the drawers as shown. Investing just a bit into the minor repairs to the veneer to restore this great buffet to it's former glory will make this piece even more special and valuable if you prefer antiques restored and in near perfect condition. This beautiful sideboard stands 44 1/2 inches tall to the top surface of the sideboard and 49 3/4 inches tall to the top of the serpentine mantle across the back edge. It measures 63 inches long at it's widest point at the outside of the beautifully carved lion's feet on the front legs and the top surface board is 61 3/4 inches long. The piece is 24 3/8 inch deep front to back. Again at the deepest point at the lion's feet which protrude beyond the front of the drawers and cabinets, and 21 3/4 inch front to back at the top surface board and general body of the sideboard.
