It is French from the 1880's- 1920(French revival period? It is solid oak or walnut It has brass hardware Also noted is that there are no known problems with the piece- nothing on it is broken. One key is included The hutch is 8 ft high. 21" deep, and 57" wide at the widest The bottom part is 36" high by 52" wide There is one shelf inside the bottom part and then the bottom shelf. It measures 15 1/2" deep The top part is 51" high by 52" wide. The top part has 2 shelves inside plus the bottom. These shelves measure 9" deep. Then upper cabinet with foliate carved panels and display shelf raised on baluster form supports over a three drawer, three door base cabinet similarly relief carved with fruit filled urns and foliate panels. This beautiful buffet measures 110" high x 76" wide x 23" deep and would be the focal piece of any room. The piece is in very nice condition, but it does have a few flaws expected in a piece its age. It has an original finish to it, and was never varnished. The best way to maintain is to oil them regularly as they have been for the last century. The unit comes apart in 2 pieces making moving very manageable. Age: Circa 19th Century. France Measurements: 88" H(total height) 56" W, 22" D. The top section measures 38.5" H and the lower section measures approx 49.5" H Condition: I tem is in very good antique condition being structurally sound and sturdy with normal signs of age appropriate use/wear as pictured including some splits to the wood on the top surface as seen ... morein image#13 and 14 below. One piece of corner molding is missing on the lower right door front as seen in image#5 below. All of the doors are currently unlocked but the current locks are not in working order and we do not have a key. Some locks may need to be replaced if desired. We are pleased to offer this beautiful antique sideboard. Buffet or serving table. This is a gorgeous piece with French Country/ Brittany carved details. The sideboard is solid oak in a medium stain finish. It features carved wood twist details on the sides and carved, fluted legs. The center section of the sideboard features an exquisitely carved figural scene. Each side of the cabinet opens to reveal the storage area. The doors do not have hardware pulls. They open by unlocking and they do retain their original locks as well as the beautiful key. The storage section is completely open and not divided. The cabinet is further accented with large and decorative hinges. This is a GORGEOUS cabinet with an abundance of charm and character. It is in remarkable condition with only minor signs of age/use.
