Condition: Used Location: Hyde Park, United States Beautiful. Heavily flaked quarter sawn oak sideboard in the manner of RJ Horner. Pics tell most of the story. Measurements are as follows: 84"W x ... more69"T X 24"D. Weight: approx. 150-200lbs. There are a couple of small trim pieces where the backsplash meets the base that are missing, a couple that are loose. The top section of the backsplash has seperated and a couple small pieces of carved trimwork are missing as a result(can be seen in the pics) There is a small a chip on the front left edge of the table surface. One of the locks is missing from one of the doors and there is a stain on the top that can be clearly seen in the photo. Im sure there are other bumps/bruises but nothing glaring. All that having been said, this piece is really stunning in person and all of the condition issues are fairly simple repairs. The flaws I mentioned are only noticed upon close scrutiny and have never been pointed out to me by anyone who has seen it in person. Original finish is in good shape, just as it appears in the photos. The color, in person, is probably somewhere between the lightest and darkest photos. The carving on this piece is AWESOME! The quartersawn grain is heavy and pronounced. Bought this piece and the matching server, which I will be listing soon) to restore but I am out of time/space. I feel I have a reasonable opening bid on this piece but if it does not sell, I will restore it and the price will go up considerably. Personally, im kinda getting burned out on the figurals and winged griffins that usually adorn pieces of this quality so its nice to see a great piece without that typical subject matter. The drawer ends offer period dove-tailing and there is old felt lining inside each drawer.The details on this 19th century sideboard/ buffet are truly beautiful, truly a statement piece! This piece measures a total height of 84 inches to the top of the crest. The Lovely display shelf measures 48 inches wide,12 inches deep and is 23 inches from the shelf to the marble. The original key does work the locks on the drawers but just aids in opening the doors.The locks are there but appear stuck. This fabulous 19th century sideboard has a wow presence for sure and is solid and tight and in excellent antique condition for being approximately 130 years or so old. There is a small piece of the grapevine carving missing at the tip end of the grape cluster on the crest, and a tiny piece of molding missing on the right side right above the marble(see next to last picture) and the left door does present with a slight age shrinkage separation in the center that is not very noticeable but there, all which I have tried to capture in the pictures, nothing major in my opinion but wanted to point them out. An impressive, elegant sideboard that has withstood time very gracefully and would surely be a splendid focal point and a touch of elegance and grandeur to your home. P

Absolutely stunning American made credenza in the style of Herter or Pottier and Stymus of NY. It's just a great looking. Very well constructed piece of American furniture that is on the open market. Serpentine sides and abundant bronze work adorn this one. The plaques on the door are very heavy and the castings are well done in solid Bronze. The statuary marble on top looks to be flawless and is very clean for it's age, circa 1865-75. Interior is a high grade, tight grain mahogany and is clean also. The top broken arch designed crown is graced with a lovely substantial urn finial in the center that sits above a large pyramidal medallion that is accented on each side with elegant incised carved foliate scroll appliques. The Best Rare Renaissance Victorian Rosewood Inlaid Credenza Herter Brothers
This is one of those I simply have to have it pieces for the true Victorian collector. It's a stunning credenza made of Rosewood and other fine wood inlays in the Renaissance style. Because of the very high initial price of these pieces they tend to be in good condition when found. This one proves that true. We have cleaned it and make sure that it was ready to go. It retains its original finish and after examination it has really nothing that I should call out. These credenzas are rare they continue to escalate in price coming out of a depressed market but One of this caliber 10 years ago would have brought $15-$20.000$. Antique Victorian Renaissance Revival Rosewood Breakfront sideboard Magnificent
Your looking at a magnificent Victorian rosewood breakfront circa 1875. It is inlaid to death with exotic woods and the doors have heavy beveled glass as shown. Has a few minor condition issues-one small piece of glass missing on the top left door(bottom of door) with some molding missing. And there is a small column that needs to be put back in place. These issues are minor considering the age of the piece and the overall condition of the piece is fine with ORIGINAL finish. It measures a full 5 feet wide and 93 inches tall. The piece is fairly heavy as its all rosewood. No inlay or marquetry missing as evidenced in the not so good pics. Sorry about the glare. Your welcome to come and inspect the piece as it must be picked up. I can have arrangements to have it shipped but it won't be cheap.

Antique Victorian Renaissance Revival Style Marble Top Walnut Sideboard/ Buffet Beautiful Antique Victorian Renaissance Revival Style Walnut Sideboard Marble Top Circa: 1850-1880 Measures approx. 55" tall. 60" wide and 18" Front to Back. There are lots of gorgeous carvings on this piece of furniture. You can zoom in on the pictures to view these closer. The carving at the very top middle has a little chipped piece. I included a picture of this. It is on the top left of this carving. The top of the sideboard is covered with a slab of marble. The marble is in very good co ndition with no chips. Cracks or breaks. This slab of marble can be removed to move or transport the sideboard. If you are looking at the sideboard from the front. The piece that is located at the very back left side of the marble is missing a small piece of ... moremolding on the side. I included a picture of this as well. There is a door in the front that opens up to a compartment that includes 2 shelves. On the backside of the door.The top piece of the molding that holds the center wood piece of the door is missing. You can see this in one of the pictures that I provided. There is a lock located on the door. I do not have the key that fits this. The drawer located at the top of the door still opens and shuts very good. The door is dovetail construction. There are 3 shelves located on both sides of the door. Some of the shelves do have a little discoloration. But the wood is smooth and does not look like it has been wet at anytime. Please view the pictures for more on this. I cannot find any makers marks anywhere on the sideboard. I did however. Have an appraiser research it and here are the remarks that I received from that: Your piece is Victorian and in the Renaissance Revival style which was popular 1850-1880. Furniture in this style ranged from works made in shops employing skilled craftsmen to the products of large Midwestern factories. The New York shops.
