Comprised of rosewood and rosewood veneer over real wood(no mdf) The piece features two sliding doors that open to reveal a divided interior storage space with a single adjustable height shelf on the right side and three height adjustable slide out drawers on the left. This is one of the later examples(late 1960s) with the drawers being in white plastic(all original and one flocked along its interior bottom) The shelf and drawers have 7 height adjustments(2 3/8" increments) or can be removed all together, so you have many size options for your storage. Cool circular teak pull handles are integrated into the doors themselves and the credenza is finished off with solid turned legs. Legs will remove for more compact shipping. measurements Overall 33 3/4" wide by 17 7/8" deep by 29 5/8" high. Right Interior side has an overall space of just under 22" wide by 16 3/8" deep by 18 1/4" high. Stunning antique oak French Provincial style buffet. This generously sized piece has plenty of storage space and two shelves that could be used for serving. The fronts of the two main doors are carved with a motif of ribbons and musical instruments and there are simple flowers adorning the valanced and scrolled skirt. Panelled doors. Sides and back. Drawer pulls and other hardware look like antiqued brass. Each of the narrow side cabinets have two shelves that come with them, but are not currently installed. The back of the lower shelf has been covered in a white textured paper that is very pretty, but likely not original to the piece. Unsure of the buffet's exct age, but believe it to date from the late 1800's. Overall. This piece is in very good condition. By far. One of the nicest pieces of furniture we have had the opportunity to offer. This is a wonderfully carved server or cabinet made of solid walnut. It had 2 drawers above double doors. The interior has a fixed shelf. The columns are full carved and burled. The handles are also carved wood. The condition is excellent. One of the cabinet doors is slightly warped but still works perfectly. The finish is beautiful and the color warm and consistent. In 15 years, this is the first of it's kind that I've had the opportunity to own. This is a true antique. A fine piece of furniture. It would go nicely in any decor. Antique French Carved Barley Twist Credenza Dark Oak with Marble Top- Measures: 35-1/4" wide x 17-3/4" deep x 40" high. Drawer is 27" wide x 3-7/8" high on front. When open: 55" high. 6-1/4" deep shelf is 46" high. This piece is perfect for front entry or small space. Dark Oak with leaf carvings on drawer handle and carvings on corners. Barley twist legs. Dove tail construction on drawer fronts. Wood is in very good condition. Can be used closed or open with small shelf. Marble top is in good condition but has a crack from front to back(not quite complete length) I purchased the piece from a Fench Antique shop in Dallas approximately 15 years ago. Crest, and carvings. Made in the 1870's, it truly is a magnificent and rare find. The flat areas are veneered rosewood while the carvings are solid rosewood, the finish and patina are in excellent condition and the credenza is very sturdy and functional and also includes the original key and lock. All of the original mirrored glass has signs of age. Mainly spotting but this is normal and expected for the age, please see photos for details. The marble top was polished before being acquired.
