Circa 1960 Mahogany with gorgeous inlays Distressing to top Locking doors and drawer Sturdy. Excellent condition, This lovely serpentine sideboard was originally crafted in England around 1960. The wood is a brilliant mahogany which has developed a rich patina over the years. It boasts a lovely grain with some very impressive lighter tones. The mahogany is also complimented by satinwood string inlay. Mahogany cross banding, and a Georgian style satinwood fan inlay. These inlays are present on the top, cabinet doors and upper drawer. The central inlay on the top is by far the most impressive. Each of the cabinets of this sideboard features working locks and the right cabinet has a removable wooden shelf. The upper central drawer also has a working lock. And the piece comes with one key. The hardware on the drawer and cabinets is solid brass that also goes with the mahogany quite well. The six legs of this sideboard are all square and tapered, and have spade feet. Overall. The condition of this piece is excellent. There are slight, dark marks to the top which appear to be intentional distressing done by the maker. The beautify of the mahogany wood combined with the serpentine shape and well used inlay is what really draws your eye, making this sideboard an excellent piece for an area where you want people to really see it. For example it would work well not only in a dining room, but also in a foyer, or often traveled hallway. Federal Server 3 Drawers Mahogany Veneer Square Tapered Legs Key C. 1875
Stunning period server. Fresh out of a local New England estate. The piece sits on four lightly tapered square legs. There are three drawers, as well as a gorgeous Mahogany top. The largest drawer features a pierced backplate. And has its original key. The locking mechanism still works. The backplate is surrounded by Neoclassical ring pulls, in a gold tone, which are repeated on each of the smaller drawerfronts. The server is in good estate condition. There is some staining to the legs. As well as a few nicks from wear. The drawers slide smoothly in and out, and feature hand finished dovetail construction, supported by small nails. The veneer has some wear to it, and there is a crack by the backplate of the largest drawer. This is purely cosmetic, and does not affect the structural integrity of the piece. This fine 19th century piece offers early hand-cut dovetailed ends on the drawers. Powerful S scroll front shelf supports, ring turned back supports, a large crotch mahogany stretcher shelf and C scroll front feet. Its features beautiful classic lines of the Empire period. This grand 19th century piece measures 39 1/2 inches in height.48 inches wide and 25 inches deep and weighs approximately 130 lbs. Before pushing on much further we want to stop and point out a few things. These would be that we got this in a bit dry so we applied a mild citrus feeding wax to it. That is causing the pictures to appear a bit shiny. We have not completed its detailing yet. Your are looking at straight off the truck pictures. We are processing a very large load while trying to keep the listings caught up with. When we don't they end up getting pushed back from the showroom to the connected warehouse and we will find it a year later buried behind a wall of furniture. The other noteworthy item is its ... morea LIFT TOP server. Very Unusual and gives this the ability to serve any number of functions. This is an extremely well made high quality piece. We loosely attribute it to the Allison Brothers workshop in New York City. Since our transplanting from Boston about a decade ago we encounter a lot of New York City period furniture. We are intrigued by the genius and creativity of these innovative thinks and artisans. The level of craftsmanship from the workshops of Duncan Phyfe. Sylvester, the Allisons, etc is exceptional. As here this piece is just wonderful and a well thought our piece to be utilized in living spaces with limited room. This pieces just lacks in nothing! It has wonderful original brass Sheraton period pull, an original finish with cleaned surface and in very good overall condition, It was professionally maintained and has a few very high quality veneer repairs to its bookmatched crotched mahogany panels. The grains' configuration on the base cabinet doors and side panels are just masterful. These are not pieces we encounter often and its an exciting very high quality cabinet. This stunning sideboard/dresser/buffet travelled from England to America with my parents when they moved here in the 1970's. And took pride of place in their home for the remainder of their lives. It is now time to liquidate their assets, and pass on the pleasure of ownership of such a beautiful and versatile piece to someone who appreciates the beauty, history and craftsmanship of high quality furniture. It is made of mahogany, with beautifully carved embellishments and a gorgeous, flawless large focal mirror. The bottom section has six dove-tailed drawers, and the top section consists of a large focal mirror flanked on each side by two small shelves. Above the main mirror is another shelf, ab ove which is a smaller mirror. Both mirrors have bevelled edges. RARE diminutive American Federal period server circa 1810. Probably made in Boston. Bow front and turned legs, after a Sheraton design. It measures 38.75 inches wide, 30.5 inches high, 19 inches deep at the sides and 21.5 inches deep at the center. It retains its original brasses. We had the secondary wood lab tested and found it to be white pine and beech, proving beyond any doubt its origin is American, not English. It measures 53-1/2 inches wide. Is 18-1/2 inches deep, and 41-3/4 inches high. It is solid mahogany with a lighter wood band inlay, and I believe it is in original finish. There is light scuffing and some scrapes on the top, the two front legs have some small pieces of inlay missing. The back is raise paneled and it has a wonderful patina. It is such an unusual design. This impressive example has a shaped square edged top with crossbanding over two long drawers with three drawers flanked by cupboard doors raised on square tapering supports with spade feet. Here is an absolutely gorgeous late 19th century Scottish mahogany sideboard with shield back decorative mantle and lovely doors. Top surface and side panels. This wonderful circa 1870-1880's Victorian buffet has ample storage with it's three large drawers and open cabinet space below, including fittings for several additional drawers in the far left cabinet as shown. Recently imported from the UK through Edinburgh, Scotland this terrific oversize mahogany cabinet is a real find, particularly in such nice original condition. This sideboard stands 69 inches wide by 26 1/2 inches front to back. Measuring 50 inches tall to the top of the removable mantle with carved shield back wood decorative and with a work surface height of 38 3/4 inches tall. The two large outer drawers are each 16 1/2 inches wide by 20 1/2 inches front to back by ... more2 inches deep while the center drawer is 27 inches wide by 19 1/2 inches front to back by 2 inches deep. The two outer lower cabinet offer space behind the lovely doors 17 1/4 inches wide by 26 inches tall. On the far left there are two shelves within their fittings, each 16 1/2 wide by 19 1/2 inches front to back by 3 1/2 inches deep, with about 15 inches tall by 20 inches front to back open space below. On the right side, this space is simply divided in two by one fixed shelf that creates space 14 1/4 inch wide by 20 inches front to back with 11 inches clearance above the shelf and 14 1/2 inches clearance below the shelf above the base of the cabinet. The interior of the large central cabinet with it's lovely paneled back is 28 inches wide by 18 inches front to back and also 26 inches tall, with one removable shelf which can be used to divide the cabinet space or not. This marvelous old Victorian era Scottish mahogany sideboard is a classic piece and can add both beauty and functional storage to so many rooms in your home or place of business. A very fine solid stripped mahogany antique. Circa 1890's, Louis XVI style server. The front legs are carved with a top scroll rosette and acanthus leaves, and with paw feet. The platform base is shelf as well as stretcher. Two curved front drawers with flame mahogany veneers, the case sides also flame mahogany veneers. The top boards are solid stripped mahogany. The drawer interiors are yellow stained mahogany boards. Server measures 4'10" 58-1/2" wide by 36" tall by 2'1" 25-1/2" deep. Excellent condition: original finish, no cracks to solid mahogany, crazing to the veneers on the case sides. Minor chip to top edge board on side. Some scratches on top boards, as expected.

This is a Beautiful Form Antique American Empire Circa 1830- 1840 Dining Room Server in Striking Flame Mahogany Veneer. The piece has wonderful curved top drawers with hardware. There is no key present, I believe the knobs are original. The doors swing out to reveal a large interior. There has been a small repair to the back left top as shown, a triangular repair to the corner. There is a modern door latch as shown. This Early Empire sideboard or server is rare. And the combination of woods is striking in appearance. The piece was made in the South, and located in the state of Tennessee. The top is composed of tiger maple, the center drawers are birds eye maple veneer, the drawer fronts are walnut, the doors are mahogany veneer. The back splash is of the original painted striped design. The sides have a cherry wash. The knobs are opaque glass. The secondary woods are poplar and pine. The bottom drawer is for wine storage and holds three bottles of wine. The patina of the woods is beautiful. Simple. Classical, and timeless mahogany piece from the mid-to-late 1800s that can serve as a sideboard, buffet, or library table. The top is one solid plank of mahogany, 21 1/4" by 45 3/4" by 1 1/8" deep; there is a old crack on one end(see picture) It stands 31 3/8" tall. The frame has two large drawers. 19 3/8" across by 5 1/8" deep, with, I believe, pine interiors and the original turned wood handles. The legs also are beautifully turned have brass end caps with wheels(replacements) The piece has its original finish; in other words.It has not been refinished, and it boasts a beautiful rich color. Offered is a very nice 2 door server in possible mid 1800s empire style with scrolled fee and columns. This piece is quite unique because of its size: 36 inches length. 17.5 inches depth, and 29.5 inches height. I get enough questions and interest in cabinets of this shape but most of them are quite a bit larger in length and somewhat in height and depth. So, enough people are looking for a size that will fit that special place in their home. I hope this small rare size does the trick. The piece is sturdy and in very good shape. A 19th century English brandy board in mahogany veneer with oak secondary. With three drawers(one cellarette) and one cabinet door. It measures just shy of 34" tall, about 44-7/8" wide, and about 20-1/4" deep. There are remnants of a paper label, but we do not know the maker. There is overall normal surface wear commensurate with age and use, including some dings and scratches found commonly on antique furniture. There is some loss to the veneer(most notably on the front to the right hand side on the top edge and the edge of the left front foot) There is also a drying line on the left side of the piece(pictured) It also looks like parts of the bottom may have been replaced/refinished. Circa 1890 Solid mahogany Rustic charm See description for full condition report Sturdy and strong, This English mahogany three tier server was made during the Victorian period around 1890. Also known as a dumb waiter or etagere this piece would traditionally have gone in a dining room and meals would have been served from it. Today we use them in a variety of places like the kitchen. Foyers, and again the dining room. The four columns are beautifully turned and the mahogany has developed a lovely patina over the years. The ... morefinish has a very rustic charm to it, making it a perfect kitchen or dining room piece. The server is in good condition. It does have marks acquired over its more than 120 years of life including small dings and dents on all surfaces and columns. We have tried to capture a sampling of this in the pictures. The tiny“buttons” on the top of the front two columns have minor chips. The top shelf has small(about 2″ diameter) indent in the wood which may be a natural part of the wood. All three shelves have minor age separations(one each) which is normal for solid wood pieces and do not affect the integrity of the shelves. All of these issues are minor and serve to add character and charm to the piece rather than detract from it. The casters still roll easily. The distance between the bottom and second shelf is 13.75″ and between the second and top shelves is 14″ Very nice dumb waiters like this are hard to find. So don’t miss your chance to own one today! Very Fine Antique English Regency Mahogany Server/Sideboard Cabinet Ca. 1870 English circa 1870-1900 Very fine mahogany and rosewood veneers Nice mirrored back. Superbly acanthus carved side columns, scroll pillars hold up the back board. Original backboards. And probably the original surface. Condition: Good clean French polished surface. Minor veneer chipping on the base board. The lower removeable shelf is not the original. Someone has made a replacement out of particle board. One could have a cabinet maker make one for you out of mahogany. Otherwise it's in very good clean condition. Size: 37 1/4" wide. 19 3/4" deep, 32" serving surface height, 45 1/2" height overall

Boston, Seymour School, c.1820 This small server has a classically austere layout of drawers which are veneered with a desirable bird's eye maple which is seen on Seymour’s early pieces. The rest of the work is classically Seymour school. But by the 1820s, as the country was growing, he was supervising a wood shop of greater scale. The quality of Seymour’s work is comparable to Phyfe in New York. The reeding and its scale are typical of the best work coming out of London in the Regency period. The condition shows no repairs or alterations whatsoever, and probably retains its original ... morebrasses. The arrangement of four working drawers is a desirable feature.
