Condition: Used Location: Glendale, United States Wonderful antique buffet sideboard. This is a true quality item! Superbly made and exceptionally heavy! Measures 72 inches across. Depth 23 inches across ... morefront marble. Mirror top to marble base. 26 inches. 46 inches from floor to marble base. Interior side shelves measure 17 inches long and 7 1/2 inches wide. 2 side doors swing out to the side. Main body interior is 16 inches deep by 48 inches long by 30 inches tall. 2 front drawers with two side drawers. Swing out to the side as shown! Solid oak everywhere! Even the drawer linings. Draw sides and back are all oak and not an inferior wood. The interior is all oak. The doors lock but I have lost the key! Currently all the doors are unlocked! Inside at the back somebody cut a hole out. Not sure why that was done but it is there! The only newish part is an interior shelf which is in the main body. I believe it is still solid oak but it lacks the patina of the original. The glass is not damaged anywhere. The marble has exquisite shading and color. With pink, grey and purple variations. It has light scratches on the top and minor tiny chips on the edge as expected for a piece this age. It is not broken anywhere! The carvings are so wonderful with urns. Horns, ribbons, roses, tassels, swags and leaves. Both front panels have cracks on the decoration as seen in the photographs. Very reluctantly for sale! Here is an exquisite. Massive, Antique 19th cent. American(probably Horner) quarter sawn oak sideboard buffet server. Straight out of a Long Island estate. Was in the same family for 70 years. This piece was made around 1880 and represents carved oak at its best. Incredibly carved with lions' heads. Paws, ribbons, and scrolls. Doors are all carved scrolls with center cartouche. They are separated by 2 columns of carved ribbons and fruit. The drawers above have handles of lions' faces. The top is crowned with an incredible lion head. The only condition issues are a small ring stain and a darker area on the top front right. Also a thin slit in the wood appx 18 inch long. These are very minor and can easily be fixed. Up for your consideration is this very impressive piece that has been in our family for 40 years. It was bought from an antique store and were told the following at that time. It is French from the 1880's- 1920(French revival period? It is solid oak or walnut It has brass hardware Also noted is that there are no known problems with the piece- nothing on it is broken. One key is included The hutch is 8 ft high. 21" deep, and 57" wide at the widest The bottom part is 36" high by 52" wide There is one shelf inside the bottom part and then the bottom shelf. It measures 15 1/2" deep The top part is 51" high by 52" wide. The top part has 2 shelves inside plus the bottom. These shelves measure 9" deep. There is an ornate plate rack on the back of the serving surface. There are beautiful. Ornate carvings ... moreon all areas of this beautiful piece. There are elegant brass drawer pulls. We believe that the top lifts off of the bottom part for transport. I'm happy to answer questions on this piece to the best of my ability. But am not an antiques expert.

18th century solid oak Butlers Hutch This was purchased over 30 years ago at the Antique Buyers guild( The old Helms Bakery L.A) We where told at the time of the purchase that it dates to the late 1700's and was made in the Adam period French in origin. It is a impressive piece of furniture. It is all hand carved solid oak. The cabinets each have one shelf inside bottom is sagging so I placed a piece of hard board in there. It has a incredible dark patina. It measures approx. 94 1/2" tall 47" wide under 24" deep The hutch is attached to the base using dowels So it lifts off the base From what I remember they only stick out a inch You need at least a 8' ceiling. My home was built in the late 1940's so the ceilings are 8'2" a newer home might be a tight fit. Years ago because I was concerned about earthquakes ... moreI attached 2) 2"x4"s to the back to make it sturdier. They are stained to match. So for those of you with a tight fit. I think it could be set up without the dowels across the back because of the 2" x4"s the 2 spindles in the front supporting the hutch also come off. There are dowels sticking out both ends. You could leave one end in and maybe put a screw trough the bottom. One other modification I noticed will up inside the cabinet is that wood was added on both sides under the base's top( I would guess the top may have been sagging under the weight of the Hutch) hence the addition. There are 2 small dowels missing on the rail on the inside( good place) hardly noticeable. One small piece gone off the top. Again hardly noticeable. I didn't catch it when I bought it. Other then that as you can see it is impressive without being over bearing. I don't need to sell so I don't plan on dropping my prices. This price is what I want to part with it. Offered here is a gorgeous Antique French Carved Walnut Buffet circa 1880. This piece features the crest with Northwind mask. Then upper cabinet with foliate carved panels and display shelf raised on baluster form supports over a three drawer, three door base cabinet similarly relief carved with fruit filled urns and foliate panels. This beautiful buffet measures 110" high x 76" wide x 23" deep and would be the focal piece of any room. The piece is in very nice condition, but it does have a few flaws expected in a piece its age. There are a few trim pieces missing, along with a couple of splits in the wood, none of which are very noticeable for important and do not distract from the piece in any way. Made in England, Regency period circa 1820, Mahogany, Keys included, Beautiful patina, Antique brass hardware(not original) Age split to top. Purely cosmetic, Very sturdy, This unique sideboard was made during the Regency period in England. Sometime around 1820. In keeping with classic Regency period design, this sideboard was crafted with a series of large, bold features that have helped not only to make it a beautiful specimen of English craftsmanship, but also a strong and enduring furniture piece. For example, the wood used in this sideboard is ... moreincredibly thick(note the large legs) and of course all of it is solid. The flame mahogany, which has developed a lovely patina, displays an incredibly rich grain and complexion. The solid brass handles have been replaced at some point, but they are antique themselves and go well with the Regency period. The two center drawers, right large drawer, and left cabinet door all lock with included keys. The right drawer has a fitted interior that was used for holding wine bottles. There is an age split to the top on the back right hand side, but this is very minor and purely cosmetic. A picture is included of it. The top has minor marks throughout that show as distressing that gives the piece authenticity of its age without detracting from it. Overall this sideboard is very sturdy and is a wonderful value for such a wonderful piece. Plenty of storage space in this sideboard. The left drawer is fitted to hold wine bottles. The drawers are jointed with hand cut dovetails. These antique brass pulls are not original to the piece. But are consistent with the style. The thick. Turned legs are one of the main characteristics of the Regency style. The mahogany has developed a beautiful patina.

The bottom part was lost through the centuries and the top was raised on bun feet and rounded apron was added to the bottom. This transformation took place a while ago and the wood shows some aging and doesn’t stand out. Two doors open wide. Revealing the interior, which is about 52” from side to side ... moreand 13” deep and 52” tall. We have added two 1 ½” thick heavy duty pine shelves. Which are completely adjustable and will hold a lot of weight. The shelves were aged to look old and will not stand out. The front doors are covered with gathered French country style fabric. Which can be removed so that you can see the interior through the glass. The lock is in working condition, complete with the key. The bibliotheque measures about 59” at the widest point and about 20 ¾” deep. It stands up about 63 ½” tall and the top surface can be used as a shelf. Displaying collectable items. Very heavy. Solid and well built item. The primer material is oak. However, secondary woods was also used on the sides and the back, which is common for 18th Century furniture. We were using it in our office for files and fabric samplers and it is hard to find a bookcase which will fit oversized files and provide such great access as this item does. Antique French Normandy Provincial Buffet. The hutch is two piece measuring 44 1/4" wide by 16 1/2" deep and stands 79" tall. The top can be mounted on the wall for additional work space. The bottom dresser top is full finished.The buffet features two plate rails a single lower silver drawer and a full cabinet with one shelf below. This is quite a handsome piece with figural carvings and spooled turnings. The piece is in excellent condition with the original hardware. The hardware could be polished to reveal the brass and make the piece pop. We have left in with the original patina for the purest. The Normandy buffet is legal antique and dates circa 1840. Exquisite antique French Provincial style buffet or sideboard made from beautifully grained cherry wood. This piece has many hallmarks of high quality construction. Including panelled sides and dovetail joints in the three drawers. Full length door hinges and ornate metal drawer pulls accent the front opf the piece as well as a simple floral carving on the valanced skirt. Three drawers and a generously sized lower cabinet make this a practical storage piece as well. The sideboard most liekly dates from around the 1840's. Overall.
