Antique Rosewood Marble Top Server or Console Made in England Circa 1870.
This is a very nice rose wood Server made in England circa 1870 in very good condition. They used to serve drinks off the top as the marble would keep the drinks cool. Its all original to either side of the base there are two candy twist pillars, and inside the base has the original shelf. The mirror doors to the base are a little a little worn with age but look fine. The top comes of the base so it is easy to transport. Measurements are 48 wide. 16 deep, 33 high to the top of the base and the back part with the mirror is an extra 15 inches.

CIRCA 1870'S ANTIQUE FLAME MAHOGANY SIDEBOARD CABINET STYLE OF ADAM REVIVAL
Here is an absolutely spectacular find from an old Charleston family estate auction and in very nice condition for it's age. a circa 1870's in the Style of Adams Revival(part of the Regency Revival movement from 1880 to 1920) when the expanding middle class became attracted to the light and elegant designs. As a contrast to the heavier and more cluttered interiors which had dominated their homes during the second half of the 19th century. Typical of Style of Adam pieces, this sideboard has Classical Roman decorative motifs, such as framed medallions, urns and floral swags. This delightful sideboard incorporated beautiful flame mahogany and crotch mahogany veneers into the absolutely perfect mantle across the back and the front door panels. I've included a number of photographs in an attempt to accurately represent the design, ... morequality, condition, construction and overall beauty of this special old piece but pictures just don't do it justice. I am limited here to twelve by the ebay format but have other photo's so let me know if there are additional features you would like to see in close up and I can send you more photographs upon request. There are features not highlighted here including dovetailed construction. The felt lined divided buffet drawer and the overall trim and feet being in such generally good condition on an old sideboard like this. This marvelous 19th century sideboard stands 4 8 1/2 inches tall to the top of the mantle. With a top surface height of 39 inches tall. It is 66 inches long and measures 26 inches front to back at the protruding serpentine front center cabinet and 22 inches front to back along the side cabinets. There is a large center drawer 27 inches wide by 20 inches front to back by 5 1/4 inches deep. In the left side facing cabinet there is a felt lined divided buffet drawer 12 inches wide by 17 inches front to back by 3 inches deep. This is a rare mahogany Victorian sideboard. It has beautiful flame grained mahogany veneers. The top has shapely openwork galleries dovetailed together and graduated spool turned posts ending in delicate finials.The shelves and base are framed with decorative beaded arrow design moldings. The dovetailed drawer has a desk and inkwell cubbies inside.There is an age crack in the desk top(inside the drawer) The cabinet base has the original shelf. This piece is a very desirable and rare diminutive size. The craftsmanship is outstanding.It has a lovely patina. The sideboard shows some minor age appropriate wear including the age cracks in the veneer on the right side of the base.
