Great set of antique piano legs with great carving. One leg is missing a part( shown in pics) there are some joint marks showing but nothing loose. These legs have been stripped. 20 1/4" tall 11 1/2" wide 2 3/4" deep. The legs have the# 10292 missing the 2 on the one that is missing the piece. Great corbels or table base even with missing piece. Antique vintage extendable camera tripod with brass legs. France I found this camera tripod when emptying out my parents’ house. I do not know if there is more to it than this. But what you see is what you get. I imagine that it is quite old. Legs are brass. Painted black. Much of the paint is worn off. There are plenty of nicks. This was in the early years of the industrial age when curves and scallops were incorporated into even the machines of the day. Rusted over when found. Its been power wire brushed to reveal the dark patina of the iron while leaving a nice balance of rust red. The entire piece was then clear matte coated. The bottom of each end of the stretcher has a notch that fits onto a slot on the bottom of the leg. The top of each end fits into a slot at the top of each leg. Then the table top/ work surface is placed onto the legs, sliding a tab on the underside into a slot on the top of each leg. Slipping a lock pin through these last two tabs locks the entire assembly ... morein place. The height from floor to the work surface is 25" The top measures 22" x 15" Each leg is 20" front to back. Antique Wicker Sewing Stand Graceful Queen Anne Legs
This is a lovely antique wicker sewing stand. I think that the gracefully arching Queen Anne legs are especially beautiful. It has a bail handle. And four little metal foot covers on the feet. The stand is missing a few of the curly q's, like they usually are, and some breaks and small repairs in the wicker. There is a partial separation in the handle from age, it is still strong, not weak, but it looks to me like it started to separate over the years from age, it won't come apart, just want to mention. This belonged to my great aunt. And she kept a little basket with her sewing things in it. I think because it is so old, it would be good to keep something in the actual basket portion so things don't get caught in the wicker. Nice old piece, full of character. With the handle up. Here is an unusual set of steel adjustable table legs. The table supports ride inside the posts. I'm including a couple steel caps that could be incorporated into your design to cover the posts. These are really unique legs that could be used to make any number of different industrial style tables or racks. I was thinking about making a really cool adjustable height shoe rack for the entry of my house but have too many other projects. The legs measure 11" wide ant the base and 6" wide at the top. The table supports adjust from 12" high at the lowest to 26" high at the tallest. With the supports set at the full 26" high an oversized top could extend out past the posts and cover them totally. Everything moves just fine Level has bubble Optics are intact no cracks or discoloration There is a lock pin and chain missing for the horizon detent Nickel plating is worn away in places Surface rust. Some pitting but not too serious Does not have the legs…maybe you do? Box could stand refinishing but you can make out the Starrett name on the front as well as a stenciled something The carry strap will have to be replaced…too short for the buckle I believe this to be an older model because of the box style with no name on top and no ridges on top The buckle type strap I don’t believe the wood is oak either. Antique HUGE! 19th Century Tanoa / Kava Bowl, Samoa, 1880s? 12 Legs, Near Mint
Wow. Never sold one of THESE before! It was the last day of an estate sale at a $2.7 million dollar mansion in Silicon Valley. Almost everything had been sold. And I was kicking myself for missing all the wonderful items. I'm sure that's why I bought this. I couldn't leave empty handed. Thank you. Internet! I now know this is a ceremonial Tanoa, or kava bowl, used in Samoa for the Ava Ceremonies. During the ceremony, guests were served drinks of kava from the shallow bowl. The people at the estate sale say the deceased owner of this bowl inherited it from her mother-in-law. Who was wealthy and traveled around the world. They say this bowl dates to the 1880s. It just might. I found a photo from the 1920s to 1930s in which Samoans were posed around their Tanoa, and it looked exactly like this one. The Museum of New Zealand has a ... moretanoa bowl just like this one. Which it dates to 1875. Their bowl was later embellished with artwork at the bottom of the bowl. As I gather from the museum's website, and other online sources, the really old Tanoas had 4 legs, but once tourists started showing up, the villagers would make the bowls with more legs, so they could charge the tourists by the leg. Also, the old Tanoa bowls tend to be plain. They were later carved with decorations, again, for tourists. Traditionally, they are also made from a single piece of wood, as this one appears to be. At the front of the bowl is a squarish block with a hole in the center. All Tanoas have this. The hole is where you tie a leather thong. S o you can hang the Tanoa outside your hut. Duh. This bowl is in remarkab le condition. In photo#10 I show a shallow scrape or scratch to the inside of the bowl. Also. I show 2 photos of a chip to the outside rim. You can see where I photographed it next to a ruler that it's less than an inch long. I've seen several similar bowls for sale online. And their legs are broken. All 12 legs are intact on this bowl. But unsure of the type of wood. There are some scratches on the table top; apparent repairs have been done on one side of the legs where it looks like wood glue and screws have been added to secure the leg, but those screws split the wood somewhat in that area. The length to which this pieces original owner went to make this an incredibly sturdy and lifetime piece is incredible. Octagonal spindle legs. Thick dense wood for the seat. This old stool speaks through its battle wounds and scars. The measurements are as followed: 21 1/2 inches long, 7 1/2 inches wide and 13 1/2 inches tall. The stool has an incredible original paint on the seat that today might be called sea foam green. The wood seat has been patched with a piece of metal and 12 nails and measures 2 5/16 x 1 5/16. The legs are approximately 12 3/4 inches long and the seat is 21 1/2 x 7 1/2. Here is an antique foot stool with a needlepoint top. I don't know anything about it. So I'm hoping the photos will answer most of your questions. I love the fancy legs. There is probably a name for that style. There are some scratches and dings which some Old English will help. There are areas where the thread has worn away on the needlepoint.must have been comfortable for your feet in that position. These areas have been colored the dark burgandy. The needlepoint top measures 16 inches in length by 12 inches in width. The stool stands 11 inches tall. If you don't like the show of"age" you could restore it to it's original beauty, although I like it just the way it is. Tracking will be included in the s/h fees. These MASSIVE legs once supported an impressive rosewood square grand piano made ca. 1860-1880 and are entirely hand carved of solid tulip poplar with old faux graining under worn and distressed shiny French polish finish. They have recently been discovered in a barn loft and are filthy with white spatters and dust all of which will wipe off with a damp cloth. The legs measure 23” tall(25 including 1 5/8” diameter threaded post on top) x 15” wide x 6” at the base with concave cup concealing original cast iron castors. You will notice shrinkage cracks at the laminations and many bangs and wear areas on the high points, but nothing that compromises the structural integrity of the legs. Two have bad losses on the“caster cup) as per the photos and one of the threaded posts is chipped badly. Pick up is available if you desire. for sale is a very nice spinet desk that i bought at the belle starr in st. louis. Mo. many years ago when belle star was the leading antique store in the st. louis area. at any rate, it was priced back then at 3500.00 i did not pay that much but the best i remember about 3K. at any rate, it has been in a parlor off the main foyer of my home for years. i have just recently made that room into a bedroom(getting too old or too lazy to climb the steps to my upstairs bedroom) and had to move out a number of pieces to allow for bedroom furniture. i listed a sideboard that was in there not long ago and will be listed a few other pieces that had to be moved. this is a very nice rosewood desk and a great size. i think it is in original finish. it has a slide out front board for additional writing surface and several nice cubby drawers. one of the ... moreknobs on one of the drawers i noticed is partially broken. outside of this, it has no damage or repairs that i am aware of. it is very sturdy and ready to sit in your home or office. the size is very suitable, some are way too large and some are way too small, kinda like the bears bed, this one is just right. it is 37 inches tall, 55.25 inches wide, and 27.5 inches deep. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at buyers expense. if someone does the buy it now, i will pay for shipping within the continental u.s. 48) states. good luck. ps. i took a look at the pictures that are on the listing page. they are quite terrible. this desk is much much nicer in person. i also noted a couple of small chips of wood gone on the top edge of the desk. the photos magnify them, they are small and not really very noticeable and do not affect the piece in anyway in my opinion. the desk needs to be cleaned with new life. it is a furniture masque that really brings life back into the wood and eliminates the dead look to the finish. however, it does look much much better in person.

An antique Vi ctorian organ or piano stool with original rosewood graining and figural. Cabriole. Cast iron legs. 10 Photos) The stool. 18" to top of seat, is in origi nal condition(as is) missing the fabrice.the original horsehair stuffing comes with the stool for upholstery. The stool was manufactured by Geo W. Archer of Rochester. New York,with a patent date of 1873 stamped on the cast iron seat plate. The seat can be raised or lowered by the revolution of the cast iron screw in the post.the support plate has been turned at one time, possibly because of screws loosening, and it would probably be a good idea to put it back into the original position with larger screws to enhance the balance when the screw is turned to the higher positions. The rosewood grained, nicely turned, post is in fairly good condition and could be waxed to achieve ... morea wonderful look. The seat is a shaped top, preferable to the plain square or round examples of the period, that would be a knockout with the proper fabric.much of the graining on the edge has worn off. Hi up for auction is an antique piano stool from my personal collection. It measures: 18 1/2" tall an the seat is: 13 x 13. The piece has a nice faded velvet like top. Colors: Cream. Pink and red. The tones are muted. The stool has a wood center which is on three metal legs. The pieces has some nail heads around the seat. A few of the metal nail heads are missing. I use these stools to hold books and reading materials. The wood and fabrice are clean, but di show wear. Great piece to add to any decor. Smoke free home. This is a antique cast iron table with what appears to be its original top. The legs are very ornate and appear to be in very good condition. there is however one wheel missing on the bottom of the cast iron legs with the other three wheels remaining and in good condition. i do not know the original meaning of this beautiful table. my guess is a sewing or drafting table. it would make a very perfect side table with an immense amount of antique character. this table is very heavy. I can see no makers mark on the table top or base.

Antique School Desk and Chair Adjustable Metal Legs Wood Top Kenney & Wolkins
Charming antique school desk and chair. Made by Kenney Bros. and Wolkins of Boston. MA, this set has nuts in the supports to allow for each piece to have its height adjusted. The legs of the desk and pedestal of the chair are black painted metal and have holes for securing them to the floor. The desk top and seat of the chair look like they are made of maple. The inside of the desk has been painted a soft green color and there is a hole in the desk top for holding an inkwell. This desk dates from sometime between 1902(when Kenney Bros. and Wolkins merged) and 1930, which is when the company changed its name and discontinued furniture making. The desk and chair are both in very good condition. Although these pieces were obviously put to their intended use. There is some wear to the surfaces, including marks on the desk top and edge and a gouge ... morenear the top of the desk. See pictures. It also looks like an industrous student carved their initials in the side of the desk. There is also some hairline separation to the seat of the chair at the back. Unsure if the height adjustment is functional- it has been many years since it was used and may need some TLC. Otherwise no damage or repairs. The desk top is 24" long and 18" wide and at its pictured height the desk stands 29" tall. The chair is 16" wide and has a seat that is 13 1/4" deep. It stands 30" tall at its current height. That is how it looked the day it followed me home. Sans cobwebs. I merely stood it upright, slid the leaves into place and laid the top where it belonged. Somewhere on the planet is a little bag containing a couple bolts or screws with washers. The little sack probably has an old blue sticker on the outside. Have you seen it? One side. The one seen above, has a few spots of white paint along the top edges, transferred there from a wall over the years. That is the side I put against my wall when I placed it in the room– not wanting to cause the cute little thing any more displacement anxiety than necessary. Look closely at the image above. And you will notice a chip near the bottom left, above the block but below the barley twist. That is the only chip you’ll find. I’ll show you better pictures in a minute. Just keep your panties on. What you decide to do with the finish. If anything, it totally up to you. They would take the legs off and take the top of the desk with them to a different destination by carriage or wagon. This desk has been in our family since about 1975, as it was bought at the Red Baron Auction in Atlanta the first or second year they opened by my father. Antique Queen Anne Footstool Patinated maple legs restructured base muslin cover
Nice old footstool has been restructured. Restrapped, with a foam top covered in muslin. It's ready for a needlepoint, tapestry or fabric cover. The Queen Anne style legs are solid wood, probably maple, and are nicely patinated with a burl appearance. The piece came from a friend's parent's home. The father was a tinkerer in wood and probably redid this piece in preparation for a new cover. It is very well restructured with four new wood corner pieces that add strength. Burl walnut veneer on the table top is bad and either needs completely replaced or get a piece of marble cut for it-or just put a table cloth on it. The 6 barley twist legs are beautifully turned and were tight and sound when assembled. There is 1 small point missing off a skirt that butts against a leg. I didn't even notice it was missing until I removed the legs for shipping. Table top is 28" diameter across the flats. 32 1/2" across the points. Height is 30 1/2" Wood looks to be stained poplar on the skirt-I can't tell on the legs.
