Antique Rosewood Marble Top Server or Console Made in England Circa 1870.
This is a very nice rose wood Server made in England circa 1870 in very good condition. They used to serve drinks off the top as the marble would keep the drinks cool. Its all original to either side of the base there are two candy twist pillars, and inside the base has the original shelf. The mirror doors to the base are a little a little worn with age but look fine. The top comes of the base so it is easy to transport. Measurements are 48 wide. 16 deep, 33 high to the top of the base and the back part with the mirror is an extra 15 inches.

Here's a pair of French half round cabinets from the late 1800's The Bottom drawer on one does not go in all the way. I think the wood tabs glued at the back are wider in this drawer and it is an easy fix. These were used in a mortuary for over 80 years. Tops are inlaid. There are two drawers each. Very exquisite. Not perfect but almost. In the upper peninsula of MI and you would need to take care of shipping, possibly with the realtor at this end unless you move fast. These are approximately 30-35 pounds each. This will have to be local pickup or Freight pickup from Calumet MI, you pay for the freight. The top of this console is made from a lovely selection of marble with plenty of attractive veins throughout it. A marble top allows you to use this console for serving either hot or cold food and makes a great surface for drink serving and mixing. You will notice on the back of the marble. Middle left, there is a small triangle shaped area of the marble that has been repaired. With a depth of only 14.5″ This console would go great in any tight area. This is a superior quality piece with solid bronze Louis XVI ormolu fittings and intricate inlays. The center medallion is hand painted Sevres porcelain with a bronze surround. The sideboard is constructed from ebony walnut and burl walnut veneering that is in excellent condition. The curved glass doors open and close smoothly and all of the locks work as they should. With age there are some imperfections such as a small piece of trim missing. Minor scratches on the porcelain plate and some imperfections in the varnish on the top of the sideboard(see photos) However, these imperfections are minor and only noticeable on close inspection. It is solid walnut with walnut veneers on the flat parts. The walnut is a warm. Beautiful medium honey color. The marble top makes a very practical surface for serving and general use. There is a key and the lock works. Overall this piece is in very good antique condition with the usual amount of nicks and scratches in the woodwork from 100+ years of gentle use. It should be noted that the veneering on the very top tier shows some bubbling and has several water marks(see photo) Also, there is a ring on the very bottom surface of the sideboard(see photo) In addition the marble has several old repairs that are difficult to see. Up for sale is this wonderful original finish gothic console.seldom seen form with a multiple of applications today. In the gothic taste. Circa 1890 with incredible quality.Made of quarter sawn oak and in original finish. Measures 36 1/2 inches tall and 20 inches deep. It's 56 1/2 in wide. Piece is as found with normal small scuffs. Finish is good with normal wear. Two little moldings off base. One piece of carving missing on left side as pic shows. Has a plaque showing it being donated in memory of a doctor.
