I’m very pleased to offer this astounding. High-quality 1920s 5-arm chandelier by Halcolite of New York! Halcolite was located at 100 Grand Street in New York City. The chandelier is amazingly luscious. And abounds with rich details. Wow. Wow! The whole is cast brass. And the weight is impressive. I must stress the quality. The brass retains its original polychrome. This is a burnished gold. And with accents of red, blue, and green. Gorgeous. The whole has an appealing but hard-to-describe quality– the five arms of the chandelier seem to be leaping into the air. Like ballet dancers on point. Another wonderful detail is the many dangling finials. I’ve seen the fixture on occasion but the dangles are usually missing. The fixture is not actually restored yet. Save for touching up the blue on the ceiling canopy. The finish is a very good vintage condition. I will fully rewire, and the exposed vertical wire will be cloth-covered like the original. The paper insulators will also be replaced. All this will take a week after payment is received. Style-wise. The fixture is well suited for a Spanish-Revival-style home, a bungalow, Arts& Crafts, or really any home built between 1920s and WWII. This fixture will be shipped wholly restored and with new wiring. Ready to hang, and with all the mounting hardware needed! DETAILS: Sadly. The period-correct, hand-painted bulbs are not included. I have never previously offered chandeliers quite like them: The original candle covers are metal. And have a textured faux finish including drips. I also like how they taper. Very cool. The covers are“held” in place by aluminum. Um, arms. There are also aluminum flourishes at the top and bottom of the chandeliers. There are six arms. Nice, and each holds six amethyst glass drops. These appear to be original. There is an additional drop in the center(these seem to be replacements) The pipe stems are covered in cloth cord. I also love how the arms sweep down and up. The chandeliers are an impressive 21-inches wide. They are 33-1/2-inches long(to the bottom of the cloth tassel) And 26-3/4-inches minus the tassel. If you need the fixtures shorter, I can reduce the length of the pipe stem a few inches. If you need them longer please contact me. I lusted after this exquisite pair for a long time. It was a thrill to at last purchase them. They are so very beautiful; I love just simply staring at them. Wholly restored and with new wiring. The bulb it would take is a standard size bulb that w ith a regular base. The wattage of 60 or less is recomm ended. Especially for the presentation of the color of the shade. The stronger wattage the less color of the glass.
