This crusty 50+ year old survivor is freshly removed from an old porch in Michigan and needs TLC. The lantern measures an impressive 16” tall(add 5” for the massive link chain) x 8” square near the top x 4” square near the base and has wrought twist corner elements and wrought floral topper. The glass is a rare olive amber crackle blown into an iron mesh. I see no breaks in the glass and it has no wiring. It is obviously rusty under a later coat of black paint: I see no rust-through. PAIR OLD CRACKLE AMBER GLASS LIGHT SHADE BLOWN IN WIRE CAGE, GOTHIC, MEDIEVAL
You are bidding on this vintage pair of light shade. They are a very deep amber color. Carmel color. The glass is blown into a ribbed metal“cage” Very different, and ancient looking. The glass is thick with lots of texture in it. It’s a large shade. 9 1/2" tall, 7" wide, and opening at bottom 3 1/2" diameter. This shade weighs about 2 1/2 lbs each. The rim is rough around the edges as they is hand blown primitive, thick glass. There are tiny paint flecks on it, as seen in pics. Circa 50- 80 years old, in excellent condition! Moe Bridges Art Nouveau Wall Sconce Rough Crackle Type Glass Light Fixture
This listing is for a MOE BRIDGES Sconce. It has been rewired. This sconce is in excellent condition. It has the coolest glass I have ever seen. I don't know what to call it as I have never seen this type of glass before. The best description would be to say it is a ROUGH CRACKLE TYPE GLASS. It is made in one piece and is cylinder shape. The glass is not smooth. There is a texture to it and it is rough and jagged like, with long striations within the glass unlike typical crackle glass. The inside of the glass cylinder is smooth to the touch with a waviness to it. Finish may have been repainted, can't be sure. Please look at photos to determine this for yourself. Upon further inspection, I did notice a slight bite on the rim(the bottom part that sits in the metal) of the glass cylinder. THE LAST TWO PICTURES SHOW THIS. You cannot see ... moreit as it sits in the metal. The metal sconce is not bent, there is some paint loss which is clearly shown in the many photos. Original 1920's Pure Oil Co. Antique Outdoor Light with Amber Crackle Glass
RARE.Outside light for a circa 1920's Pure Oil Service Station. This is an original steel light with the cylindrical amber crackle glass shade. Fixture is about 15 1/2" tall and 6 3/4" wide and extends out from building about 9 1/2" It has been painted black over the years but I think the Pure Oil Blue enamel is still under the black. You may be able to remove the black. Condition of this light is great and was rewired in 1993 the glass however has been broken and has been glued back together and is stable at this time. You rarely ever find one of these original lights let alone the original amber shade they just don't exist anymore. Vintage. Art deco, crackled glass globe/shade with decorative finial. No markings to indicate age or origin. Though from research I've determined that it dates to around 1920's. Diameter of approximately 11" 3 1/2" dia. attachment hole. There are no chips. Cracks or damage on the globe. Crackle glass texture is actually a bit sharp when you run your fingers across it. VINTAGE EAMES ERA CHANDELIER This is a vintage retro. Mid-century Eames Era chandelier. It is a Triboro, 3 light, 660W fixture with turn switch in the center of frosted glass cover. The center metal ring screws on to hold the glass in place. The large metal shade has a crackle texture and measures about 18 1/2 inches. Needs new wire/fabric cord. Thanks for looking! This is auction is for a pair of these wonderful crackle glass lantern sconces. Rewired and ready to use. Mounting brackets included. The backs are newer and the glass is older. There is a mark in the crackle glass that may have bumped but nothing is broken. measurements are 8 1/2" high. 7 1/2" depth and the backs are 4 X 6. all solid brass darkened.
