Offered is a fabulous 47 piece lot of old French Cut pendalogue chandelier prisms. This is an asssorted lot with the smaller ones measuring 3 inches long plus the top bead. The largest ones are 5 inches long plus the top beads. These are flat on one side and cut with a double bevel edge on the other. A great mixed lot with some unusual cuts, some have glass florete top jewels. There are more than enough prisms her to really dress up your old French Versailles chandelier. There are a couple of them that are missing the top jewels, I will add them prior to packaging. The parcel will be a rather large and heavy. Original chains and hooks. With just one or two suspended by nylon. Top layer diameter 14 inches. Height of the seven rings is 12 inches. Suspension chains are 10 inches long. Original to top hook has hole for cable and light fitting. Condition Report. Top ring is missing two double droppers. The very lowest ring. Meant to house 3 droppers has none, as we have moved up to replace others missing. A couple of the droppers have minor chips. Nothing major. This is quite a heavy piece at 4 kilo prior to packing. This is a 19th century brass Gasolier. It's very large. It measures 44" high& 34" wide. The top canopy measures 10" across. The brass rim that the shade fits in measures 16" across. The frosted cut-to-clear shade measures 15 1/2" across and is 8" high. The hole in the brass top on the shade measures 2 3/4" across. This beautiful chandelier/ gasolier with the frosted cut-to-clear shade is from France and is heavy. It has a great patina on it. The wiring is old and should be replaced. I would think the light would work as is. But I haven't tried it. This originally used gas, but has been converted over to electric. All the gas valves are still present, and I'm sure could be converted back to gas. The shade does have a few small chips around the bottom rim. Which I believe is normal for these ... morekinds of lights. But it's nothing major. You can barely see them. You can mainly feel them when you run your hand around the rim. Also. I believe the chandelier is bent just a little bit, because when you put the glass shade in place one of the uprights next to it is closer than the other side. That makes me think it's bent just a little. I believe that shows in one of the pictures. I'm sure if someone takes the fixture apart, which I would think you would do to replace the wiring, it would be an easy fix. The canopy is very large on the top, and is beautiful. The two place candle pieces that hold the bulbs are broken, but can be replace easily. I will be shipping this in two different boxes to insure the shade doesn't get broken. I really have no idea what this gasolier is worth. But I do want to sell it. I'm putting a"buy it now" price on it, but if it's more than you think the chandelier is worth please be sure and make me an offer. These are a lot 6 EXQUISITE HUGE French cut lead crystal glass prisms. 5 of them are the same measuring a bit over 7 inches. And a bit over 8 inches with the top crystal. One is slightly smaller which I point to in the photos with my finger. These gorgeous antique prisms are in beautiful condition. They are not perfect since they are over 100 years old and have some very minor scratches and chips, but they still look gorgeous and have a rainbow effect when light hits them. A beautiful Antique French style Glass Lustre Chandelier light shade. With an upper ring, which has 26 button lustres above 26 spear lustres. The lower ring has 16 spear lustres with button type above- see photo's. It comes complete with its own ceiling mount which has a hook to suspend the chandelier from. The ceiling cable simply hangs inside the chandelier. The upper brass ring has a diameter of 14 cm or 5.5 inch and it has a drop of 30cm or 12 inch from the hook to the tip of the lowest lustre. A wonderfully useful and beautiful late 19th-early 20th century French Crystal Candelabra that has been converted to electric sometime in the early 1900's. This beautiful lamp features clear and green cut crystals. As well as 4 glass/crystal pear drops at it's bottom. At the top is one of the nicest crystal toppers I've seen with the top-most portion of the prism being fully hand cut(see photos) where it is usually ... morejust molded. The candelabra is signed underneath, near the cord with"MADE IN FRANCE" There is substantial patina on what is likely gilt or bronzed brass, and the piece is quite heavy and measures 23.5" tall by about 12" wide. This holds standard small base light bulbs of which it is shown with 2"flicker flame" bulbs which actually look like candles. It can certainly be used with candles if you don't care to use the sockets. It is in perfect working order and all 4 sockets work. This is just as lovely unlit as it is lit! The makers mark is hard to read but definitely has a"cze" at the base between two arms. Identical replacement parts for the bobeche and prisms are listed online as Medallion by Baccarat.
