Brass has tarnished areas all over. I have not attempted to clean at all. The milk glass is in good shape. Some minor chips around bottom edge that sits in chandelier pockets however this part doesn't show. It looks like a finial is missing from undersidein the center. Please see pic. Hard to notice. Could be replaced with anything or left as is. This was removed for renovation and worked at the time of removal. the bulb sockets look great- could have been replaced at some time as they look almost new. Chandelier Mid Century Danish Modern Wood w 5 Mint Glass Shades Brass Aluminum
For your consideration is a nice vintage dinette. Breakfast room, or small dining room size chandelier. It is just as it came from the ceiling of an estate, and could use a good scrubbing. It is brass plated metal with a wooden column. There are a couple small marks on the wooden column. The brass is highly discolored and shows definite signs of age. I attempted to show the wear to the finish in the photos, but it doesn't photograph that well. The base metal is very lightweight,and is probably aluminum. The 5 original shades are dirty but in otherwise perfect vintage condition with no cracks or chips. They are similarly very thin and lightweight. The wiring shows no obvious damage, though you may want to have it checked out by an electrician if you are unsure. The sockets are standard size, not chandelier size. Simple'S' shape with 4 torchiere light sockets. The globes are missing-a tall. Slender globe would look fabulous. Teak wood and brass construction. The S base is made of a flat brass tubing, and would clean up nicely with a good polish. The brass finish has mottled dark and light patina throughout the brass, and the brass hanging tube is slightly bent out of shape, as are the torches, but overall in good vintage condition.
