Here for consideration is a magnificent chandelier by Gaetano Sciolari produced I imagine by lightolier with heavy brass. Heavy chrome, hundreds of glass rods and a feel much larger than the measurements suggest. This is a chandelier that can only be seriously appreciated in-person and not via photos. Plenty of photos provided showing details to see how good this is. Please review them all. General Description: Gaetano Sciolari has designed many great pieces. And this one is one of the largest designed. This exact chandelier may be found on first dibs, and another seller on ebay also has one listed with frankly, more alluring photos than mine- I do not have a studio. I photographed it with only about 40% of the rods in place due to the weight that was bearing on the ceiling hook. Twelve 40 watt bulbs illuminate 204 glass rods that are 18" each suspended on 6 solid brass and chrome plates that alternate in height. The quality of the brass and chrome is second-to-none. This chandelier came from an institution in West Virginia with a 7 foot chain linking it to a ceiling plate. The chandelier was kept in a humidity and temperature controlled environment which means it has survived well. It measures approx. 21" high from the top of the hanger finial to the bottom of the lower row of glass rods and is 21" wide. Condition: Brass and chrome is almost near perfect with only mention of some scuffing and light scratches to very few areas- not worth the mention but for the sake of accuracy must be. The only area to show any real patina is on the central spoke holding the three arms to the 6 fixtures. The janitors took good care of this but in the process over time. 5 of the glass rods have been broken- as the fixture has internal rods and external rods we recommend either sourcing 5 rods, or simply omitting them from the interior rod arra

I believe it is the Constella 10 arm but am not sure. The star crystals are by Strass. Note the falling star tails are rinestones with 4 prongs to secure each precious one. I do not know if this has all the crystals. This is the way I bought it so I am selling as is in found condition. But with new wiring in the main stem. I think it looks fabulous just the way it is. I am not new to Ebay. I gave my old account to my wife. Who is selling upholstery fabric as werkinfool. This large brass and crystal chandelier has been not been restored but is in excellent original condition. No glass is present. But it would take approximately 60 pieces if crystals of your choice. They normally took medium sized pears. This one also has places for crystal chain, so when it's done it's going to be DAZZLING! All brass parts are in good condition. No bent or broken parts. No water stains or tarnish, except for a nice age patina Dimensions are approximately 24" across x 20" tall. Without chain. Comes with the original chain. I would recommend rewiring it before use, but all sockets are in good condition. Some candle covers are present and do not appear to be correct, but you may like them. ANTIQUE CRYSTAL LOUIS XV CHANDELIER GOLD ORMOLU BRONZE FROND 10 LIGHT
We are pleased to offer this SPECTACULAR antique chandelier. The chandelier is brass with an extraordinary gold plated finish. It is accented with arching bronze fronds at the top of the fixture and attached to the arms. The fixture is 10 arm and 10 light. The arms have alternating heights and lengths: 5 arms are longer and extend lower than the other 5. The arms also have alternating positioning of the bronze fronds that are attached to them. The longer arms are"double" with a decorative. swan" shaped upper arm that attaches to the frame. These attachment arms have acanthus leaf tips which give the"swans" a nice appearance. Bronze fronds extend outward from the top of the chandelier with crystals hanging from each. The chandelier is also adorned with an ornate bronze arm hub, on the bottom of the fixture and the ... moreceiling canopy/cover. There are accent finials both on the bottom of the fixture as well as on the inside of the lower section. The chandelier has old. Leaded crystal prisms which are original to the fixture. Ten of the prisms are in a diamond cut with triangular points on each side(see photo#5) The diamond cut crystals are in 2 sizes; five are 2.75" and five are 3.5" There are also ten 6.5" crystal strands with graduated beads and large rectangular prisms. Five of these dangle from the top, large fronds and 5 are located on the lower section of the chandelier. There are 55, large 2.5" crystal teardrops. Five hang on each bobeche and 5 are on the lower section of the fixture. There are a total of 75 prisms on the fixture. Because of the intricate detailing on the frame, I have photographed with and without crystals as the frame is quite exceptional. This is an extraordinary antique chandelier. It is in very good condition with very little evidence of age. It is exquisite! The fixture measures 24" wide and 24" tall. There is approximately 10" of chain included. Very Impressive, Fully rewired, Masses of Crystals This is a fabulous antique brass cage chandelier dating from around 1920-30. The shape is very unusual and attractive but a little difficult to appreciate from the photo's because of all the crystals! It has geometric shapes on each arm in a nod to art deco- we have sold thousands of chandeliers and never seen another quite like this. There are ten arms. Five of which are full height and form the cage shape. In addition there are another five shorter arms in between. Each arm has a glass drip bowl and the entire chandelier is hung with a wonderful mix of pendalogue and bears paw shape crystals. There is even an brass central spike at the base inside the cage and at the bottom is a superb large glass teardrop finial. It was completely dismantled in our workshops. Following a full restoration it was re-assembled. The cleaned crystals re-hung and of course it was fully rewired. The ceiling rose was missing when found so a new brass fitting was used which has been aged to match. It is good condition for it's age but it is nearly 100 years old. A couple of the arms are not quite as straight as they were when new and there are a few minor nibbles to the edges of the crystals. None of this detracts but we prefer to mention it. All complete. 1950's Smoked Brass 10-Branched Crystal Chandelier, Signed- Austria, SUPERB!
Up for auction is a SUPERB-Circa 1950's. Signed- Made in Austria, 10-Branched Full Lead Crystal Chandelier of the regal proportion and weight. This along with two others that I have listed separately at auction came from historic New Bern, North Carolina, New Bern is best known as the colonial capital of North Carolina until it later moved to Raleigh) This chandelier was from the Dining Room of the Hatch-Washington House located at 216 Pollock Street. Fixture proper measures 25" in height by 27" in diameter with a total drop of 42" with an 17" chain and ceiling canopy. Fixture is composed with a center jeweled crown with central spear. Radiating from this are 2 tiers of 5 each, hand wrought brass tubular boxed support arms, with the outer 5 supporting 2 wrought scrolls. Each of the 10 crystal bobeche's are draped ... morewith unusual octagonal cut prisms along with various sized tear dropped, hand cut full lead prisms, along with 1 central spear. This fixture is spectacular and of the highest quality with paper"Made in Austria" still affixed to the central glass cover. Fixture features real bees wax candle sleeves that were custom made by ELANCO. This company is known for their museum installations including The Metropolitan Museum of Art in lighting their period rooms. This Superb vintage fixture is ready for use in a house museum, antique lighting collection, or new construction. Condition: Two of the crystal bobeche's are cracked, with one outer arm scroll missing. All original prisms, no replacements. Maybe 1 or 2 have a flea bite at the most. Very well cared for! Pictures do not show the true fire of this fixture but this is the only one I have prior to it being dismantled for storage. Wiring has been updated. I accept paypal or inquire. No echecks.

Gorgeous and impressive chandelier! This is a newer vintage(1980s) Spiral brass frame chandelier with 105 large, Lucite"ice" crystals. The crystals are swirled/cut on each end to achieve the ice appearance. The crystals hang on hooks on the frame and are easy to assemble. The chandelier has 5 tiers. There are a total of 10 lights on the chandelier with 5 lights on the upper section, 4 on the mid section, and one on the bottom for down light. The chandelier is not marked, but is a of very nice quality. It is fashioned after Kalmar or Vistosi/Mazzega Murano glass fixtures. It is in very good condition with very little evidence of age or use. Wiring is very good and chandelier is working. It retains the brass hanging chain, ceiling mounting screw, and a brass ceiling cover/canopy.
