Vintage Italian Metal Floral Tole Chandelier Romantic Shabby Cottage Chic
Available is a vintage Italian metal floral lamp. I don't know the year it was made. But it is not new. I suspect this was made in the 1950s or early 1960s, judging from the style and the ornate filigree border on the top. The lamp is in good shape but needs a good cleaning. It measures about 22 inches tall from the top of the ring that the chandelier is hung from the ceiling to the bottom of the lamp. The shade is metal and measures 19 inches across the bottom and 11 inches across the top opening. The shade is NOT removable. I don't know if the lamp works. As it must be wired into the wall to use it. I can't just plug it in to find out if it works or not. It needs a very good cleaning. Vintage Antique Cottage Chic Ribbon Swag Iron Candleholder
This pretty piece is from my personal collection. It does have a broken foot. That somebody repaired with a very heavy glue(see photo) It is secure and sound, and cannot be noticed at all from the front. Chippy and perfect! It is very heavy(weighs almost 4 pounds! and is a great piece to add to your collection. Measures 12 inches tall by 6 inches wide at the base. Each swag measures about 3.5 inches long. For Your consideration: A very old and ornate shabby tole chandelier for restoration and repair It measures approx 16" in height and is about 14" wide Although all of the embellishments appear to be intact. Some of the flowers and leaves will need to be adjusted as they are slightly bent from years of storage The interior wire is in good condition, but it is very old- some is cloth covered and may be aluminum I would suggest a complete restoration and re-wiring for safety The original ivory and gold paint is yellowed with age and a bit dusty One of the plastic candle covers is missing and the 2 that remain are discolored and chipped A spectacular OLD tole chandelier that would be absolutely amazing if it were cleaned up and re-wired! I COUNTED 34 ROSES. MOST PEOEPLE CALL THEM PORCELIN BUT I ACTUALLY THINK THEY ARE CERAMIC BUT STILL SO BEAUTIUFL. IT IS HARD TO TELL IF THE ROSES ARE CHIPPED OR NOT. I AM SURE A COUPLE OF THEM HAVE SMALL CHIPS OR DINGS(ONLY ADDS MORE CHARACTOR IN MY BOOK) BUT YOU HAVE TO LOOK SO CLOSE TO FIND THEM. AND IT WILL BE HUNG FROM YOUR CEILING.
