It has a very soft white/frosted coloer with beautiful-highly detailed clear glass. All components are in really good vintage condition and are from the mid century era. The shade and stem compliment each other beautifully. The shade measures about 15 1/4 inches in diameter and is in wonderful condition with no chips or cracks. There is minimal wear which only compliments the overall vintage look of this stunning chandelier. This style of shade is very hard to find in this large size. The chain is new and is aluminum-which compliments the other metal pieces quite nicely. The ceiling canopy was sanded and repainted as is also from the same era. There are four new porcelain sockets pictured with 60 watt bulbs as well as all new wiring. This amazing light fixture can be adjusted to hang between 16 and 24 inches from the ceiling. Description: This re-wired vintage ceiling light is likely from the 1930s or 40s. The glass shade has a satin finish on the outside. The inside is painted in white. Yellow and orange-red, with a stylized floral pattern. The fixture hangs down 10-1/4 inches, and measures 16 inches wide. The glass is in great condition. There are a few minor flakes on the rim, but they are not very noticeable, and do not detract from the beauty of this fixture. The metal components are solid brass. Including the ceiling canopy. The brass was originally lacquered, and the finish held up better on the ceiling canopy than the other parts, which have darkened with age and now have more of an antique patina. It measures 16" in diameter and weighs 11 pounds. It has only been cleaned with Windex to inspect for damage. There are a few small chips on the rim and mounting holes. ORIGINAL VINTAGE SET OF FIVE SLIP SHADES - FROSTED WHITE W/MOLDED FLOWERS
MARVELOUS SET OF FIVE SLIP SHADES So sad.one of my vintage slip shade fixtures. Which takes the shades that I have listed here, was broken on our move to Tennessee. My hope is that someone out there in eBay land will own a fixture that needs these shades to complete it. Each shade measures approximately 9 inches high, 4.75 wide and extends from the wall by 4.5 inches. They are truly in wonderful shape ~ in my opinion ~ and the molded flower design is remarkable. I have posted large format photos so that you can view everything, especially, two specific shades ~ one has a slim fitter chip on its right side[as seen from the back] and another has a tiny slit on its upper left hand side. In the photos you will also see what looks like, black magic marker marks on the fitter area of the shades. Regarding the packing of these shades ~ each shade ... morewill have a 2+ inch layer of brand new. Medium size bubble bubble-warp around each shade. They will then be packed into a box which measures 18x18x16 inches and shipping paper will surround all of the wrapped shades to fill any voids in the shipping box. This item is in excellent, pre-owned condition& is itching for a new home(it's tired of living in my basement in a box) I can only estimate the production date of this piece to be somewhere between the 1930s& the 1950s. Regardless. It's a brilliant, streamline design. It measures 13.25 inches across at its largest point. The glass is a clear"white" Swirled glass in the raised center& the other part is a frosted"white" Most of the photos make it look like it's a very light powder pink.which is deceiving. So, I provided one photo which was taken outdoors in natural light as the main photo of this listing. please refer to this photo regarding the true color ... moreof the shade. The other photos were taken indoors& do not represent the true color. There are three holes(presumably for the chains or some other sort of hanging gadget) that do show very slight& barely noticeable chips on the reverse side(the side that would face upward to the ceiling.they are not at all noticeable when the shade is hanging in its proper position) All other surfaces of this shade are in excellent condition. There are some minor inclusions in several spots of the glass. these are not signs of damage or misuse.rather. They are a part of the mold/ production of the piece. When looking at the reverse side.the rings of frosted glass each measure 3/4 of an inch& they have slight clear glass steps in between.enhancing the Art Deco design. The center clear. PAIR Mid Century Glass Frosted White Moe Bow Tie 1950's Light Fixture Diamonds. Not one. But TWO! EACH is in excellent condition with only the slightest traces f wear. I did note a couple of small scratches to white filed area. NO chips or cracks noted on either shade. Holes are 2 3/8" to center. 17 1/2" LONG. 5 3/4" Tall. Almost 4" DEEP. Concerned about shipping?
