In heavy solid gilt bronze with a gorgeous warm patina. Dating to the late 19th century it is classic Louis XV with roccoco foliate scrolls and detailing. It has three beautiful curved branches carrying the electrical light fittings with the original wooden faux candle covers. It comes complete with three charming petite creamy white satin shades finished with gold thread passamenterie braiding. It is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs and is in working order although the wiring is old and so should be checked before use. Stunning French 1940s Beaded Crystal Chandelier Huge Drops & Macaroni Beads
This old chandelier is over the top gorgeous! Loaded with swags of macaroni beads. Huge drops and frame is all beaded with original old beads, The frame is very unusual also, sort of a pagoda style. Great large size measures 26" tall x 23" wide. All candelabras are working but you should have it checked by a professional before installing. One glass bobeche is quite chipped around the middle but you cannot see it when looking at the chandelier, since on the inside. There are a couple of links of the old chain and no ceiling cap. This is a 19th century brass Gasolier. It's very large. It measures 44" high& 34" wide. The top canopy measures 10" across. The brass rim that the shade fits in measures 16" across. The frosted cut-to-clear shade measures 15 1/2" across and is 8" high. The hole in the brass top on the shade measures 2 3/4" across. This beautiful chandelier/ gasolier with the frosted cut-to-clear shade is from France and is heavy. It has a great patina on it. The wiring is old and should be replaced. I would think the light would work as is. But I haven't tried it. This originally used gas, but has been converted over to electric. All the gas valves are still present, and I'm sure could be converted back to gas. The shade does have a few small chips around the bottom rim. Which I believe is normal for these ... morekinds of lights. But it's nothing major. You can barely see them. You can mainly feel them when you run your hand around the rim. Also. I believe the chandelier is bent just a little bit, because when you put the glass shade in place one of the uprights next to it is closer than the other side. That makes me think it's bent just a little. I believe that shows in one of the pictures. I'm sure if someone takes the fixture apart, which I would think you would do to replace the wiring, it would be an easy fix. The canopy is very large on the top, and is beautiful. The two place candle pieces that hold the bulbs are broken, but can be replace easily. I will be shipping this in two different boxes to insure the shade doesn't get broken. I really have no idea what this gasolier is worth. But I do want to sell it. I'm putting a"buy it now" price on it, but if it's more than you think the chandelier is worth please be sure and make me an offer. These are a lot 6 EXQUISITE HUGE French cut lead crystal glass prisms. 5 of them are the same measuring a bit over 7 inches. And a bit over 8 inches with the top crystal. One is slightly smaller which I point to in the photos with my finger. These gorgeous antique prisms are in beautiful condition. They are not perfect since they are over 100 years old and have some very minor scratches and chips, but they still look gorgeous and have a rainbow effect when light hits them. Hello! Up for bids is a stunning. Huge, gothic wrought iron chandelier. Either French or Italian, I'm not sure. It didn't fit my dining area, at all, I totally underestimated the length. It is still dusty, and there is some paint missing in some areas. It needs some TLC. I was told it worked, but I did not bother to hook it up. It is about 53" long, the rod is permanent, and about 2.5" wide, depends on where you measure. It weighs about 27 lbs. Rumour has it it came from a castle in Redstone, Colorado, but that is only rumour. I have no proof or paperwork, just interesting! This is pick up only, or we can meet somewhere.
