It is on the clear glass in front of the stained glass. My plans have changed and I don't have ... morea use for it anymore I would like to sell it to someone that can use this beautiful piece. I was told it would cost $14.000.00 to make this today. The window is 5 feet tall and it is 8 feet wide at the bottom. There is a wood frame around the window but it does need some work to be repaired. The bottom window sill is damaged/rotted/missing and needs to be replaced. When this was installed it also had a piece of clear glass on both sides to protect it. One of them cracked as I set it down on my garage floor and was taken off and tossed. The stained glass is still perfect. It shows age and the brass pieces are starting to tarnish a little. The window dropped down out of the wood frame and we just turned it over and it went back in. I now have a board holding it all together. Up for bid is this very unique& beautiful vintage English leaded stained glass window from the early 1900's. It's 17" X 20" with frame. The original antique frame was damaged during the window's removal from the old English home so a solid 1" thick wood frame was made for the glass. A reinforcement wood piece is attached to each corner on the back of the frame. The natural wood is beautiful but you can paint or stain it as you choose. This uniquely designed window definitely reminds me of one you would see in a church. Just beautiful! It can be displayed with the lighter gold glass on the bottom or the top. See photos 1& 2. The rich dark amber gold stained glass panes have a very decorative honeycomb texture. The lighter amber gold stained glass panes have a wavy texture. Nice contrast. This are a double hung(top and bottom) set of stained glass window that were salvaged from a demolished PA home. The upper piece has a slag medallion with 4 fasceted green jewels and 2 creamy white circles in the corners. The rest of the window is set in a variety clear and distorted glass. The lower piece has a couple of creamy white half circles and the variation in clear and distorted glass continues from the upper to the lower piece. There are 2 pieces of border glass with cracks. Each is only 3/4 inch long and they are stable with no loss. The upper frame has a lower stile that has some seperation. Glue, screw and clamp to fix. It has no reinforcing bar on the back and if you shake the window(should'nt do that! it does have some movement. If hung and displayed, there will be no problems. The lower window does have reinforcing bars ... morebut the ties seperated and it does have a bow. If you wish, you can resolder the ties and it should be fine. The frames are painted white on one side, brown on the other. The set may need some attention but overall is in good condition for 120 year old windows. It measures 34 inches wide. 28.5 inches tall and are 1.75 inches thick. The glass only measures approximately 30" by 24" Overall. It's in good condition. The frames are original and measure 24.75" x 77.75" each. In the picture immediately below, I have arranged the individual framed panels in a completely arbitrary composite. The thumbnail sets below show the individual framed pairs in multiple images. The windows are essentially all in excellent condition with only a couple of cracks in the entire set and perhaps 4 border pieces which have been damaged and need to be replaced(which I will have done) The top panel of each pair is in a ventilator frame and they all still open and have their original hardware. It is in good condition. About 12 pieces have hairlines but are stable. One of the original reinforcing bars was missing and has been replaced with a modern one. Large Antique American Stained&Jeweled Floral Window
fid6033 Antique American Stained Glass Window with wonderful glass throughout. This is a surprisingly large window. Measuring in its frame 28.5” x 81” It is my feeling that this window is a combination of an old central panel with a new surround. Although the reconfiguration was done a long time ago. The floral section, including the‘figure 8’ configured border is, to my eye, originally from another window, with the outer, very vivid border added. It is clear that at one time this central section had plating as the lead came has been trimmed back. There are a few cracks as well as a couple of border pieces which appear to have been replaced. Having said that, the glass is all first rate, there are rondels which have been squared off in the corners, and drapery glass has been used in some of the flower petals. The window has had 2 border pieces ... moreglued. One new lead-line in the border, been re-cemented and re-framed. Wonderful glass throughout with Jewels interspersed in the border. The Central medallion which is itself surrounded by a jeweled belt is composed of(apple? blossoms. Leaves and vines. In its original frame the window measures 60" x 26” and is in good condition with the following to be noted: there is some slight bowing to the window; the central medallion is surrounded by a band of glass which had severely deteriorated due most likely to a reaction with acids in the atmosphere. This wood framed. 3 panel display has individually labeled sample pieces of the different glass available and the labels probably once had a number or code to indentify the particular style of each. Antique Stained Glass Window - Early American Jewel Style
Description: Beautiful and stunning antique stained glass window of the early American jewel style. The window is leaded with colored and wavy glass and jewels and its centerpiece is what appears to be a hand-painted mural with various fruits(grapes. Cherries, banana, peach, and pear) and leaves flowing out of a vase. This is a one-of-a-kind piece that is looking for the right home for it to be enjoyed by future generations and those that appreciate early Americana. Story: The window was meticulously removed from a house in Williamsville. NY, a northeast suburb of Buffalo, during a remodeling project(see pictures showing the window before it was removed) The house was built in the mid-1960’s in the retro-style and this window clearly doesn't fit that period. The previous owners of the home were quite eccentric and had many antiques and ... morecollectibles amongst their possessions. The window remained in its original condition thanks to professional removal. Details: Size– 3’ 10” Long x 1’ 8” High(46” x 20” Age– Unknown. We spoke with the ACSG and they estimated via email between 1880 and 1900. Style– Early American Jewel Pieces– All Original and intact Bonding Agent– Lead Material– Glass Colors– Gold. Yellow, purple and blue hues Condition– Good Markings/Artist Signature– None Condition: The window is in good condition given its estimated age. The window has not been cleaned professionally since it was removed from its location. It has original paint marks/splatterings around its frame from old window trim paintings(see detailed pictures) which can easily be removed. It has some dirt and grime around the edges of the lead and in the crevices(see pictures) which can also be cleaned up. There are some tiny hairline cracks in a few of the window pieces but most cannot be seen without very close inspection(see pictures) There is one piece of lead at a corner. fid#8012a&b A very nice. Large 2 part Antique American Stained Glass Floral Window set from Kittanning Pa. circa 1900. Both sections are in their original frames, the bottom measuring 62" x 37.5" and the top 62" x 30" Unusually, there is a provenance to these windows in that the man I bought them from, a Carpenter, removed them from their original installation after a fire damaged the home. The windows are both in very good condition with a crack or two in the arch section and one noticeable fracture in the column base on the right of the window. There is one replaced piece of glass in the lower right section of meadow. There is some use of mottled glass in the window.
