There are small holes drilled into the base of the candle holders and the top of the candle holders have been threaded to take a fixing but this does not spoil the look of the sconces. Please study the photographs. The back plates are 29cms or just over 11¼” The spread on the arms equals 23.5cms or 9¼” Some of the gilding has rubbed back with time.
