They would also work well to frame ... morea piece of art. These have an eye catching shape and the metal has great detail. They will add a dramatic effect to whatever location you choose for them. The milk glass cylinder shades slip on and cover the sockets. There are two light bulbs included. I tested them and they are both currently working. The metal brackets used for securing the fixtures are also included. These are in nice condition overall. There is some age wear. The chrome may shine up more with a polishing. There are some minor paint drippings that are around the perimeter. I have only lightly dusted these. The finish is a little dull. But there is no pitting, rust or damage. These do have different switches on them. I haven't tested these, I am really not handy with electrical wiring. The sockets are ceramic, so they are likely original. The milk glass looks good. There are no cracks in the shades. The bottom rim has the typical roughness of a glass shade. The bulb sockets on these take a standard size. These measure 17" long and 2.5" wide. They will extend from the wall about 2.25" These are sure to make a dramatic impact in any deco. Industrial, or machine age decor. I have for sale a pair of Art Deco style molded glass and chrome wall sconces, each frosted pink shade is decorated with a ribbed motif and central figure of a nude in relief, set in a chrome frame. I was told they were made in Holland. I am a guy whose taste is not quite this style. By the pictures you can see they do operate. Unfortunately one does have a very tiny nick. This does not affect the looks though when the glass is sitting in the chrome frame. They measure 9 1/2"high, 10 1/2 wide and weigh approx. 5 lb. I hope the pictures and info help. Any? I’m very pleased to offer this rare and striking pair of 1930s chrome and glass sconces by Levolite. And from their After Daylight line! The glass scones are a cream colored glass. Not painted glass but solid cream glass in excellent condition. No chips or cracks. It’s incredibly hard finding such a pair with their glass shades in excellent condition. They are almost always lost or broken. The sconces were made by Levolite. The company was at 184 Grand Street in NYC. The building is. Today, no doubt high-end condos. 2 narrow light bulbs included. Tested and checked working great. While such sconces would have normally been used in a bathroom. Consideration for your restoration. Pair chrome plated Art deco sconces with opalescent glass slip shades. They are a solid heavy pair of sconces made of some type of cast non magnetic metal. The chrome is in excellent shape with only small amounts of light scratches and nicks. The wire and socket both look good. The slip shades are in good shape as well, They do however have some nicks, flea bites, and what looks like thin shards missing I could not get a good picture of these. They are free from cracks and are very solid. I am not an expert but I would guess these are from the 1930s, for that kind of age I consider these to be in excellent condition. 2 Antique White ArT DeCo GLaSs Slip Shades for Chrome Wall Sconce Lamp Fixtures
This auction includes a set of two vintage small white art deco glass shades which have rough cut top and bottom rims. I have seen these type of shades on the old chrome wall sconce fixtures. They measure approximately 4 1/4" tall(one is slightly taller) By approximately 3" across the top openings. The smaller fitter ends measure just over 1 5/8" across to the outer edges. Both are in very good condition. And have no chips or cracks overall. There is minor roughness with some small chiggers to the small fitter rims which is typical on rough cut shades. No big deal in my opinion, but wanted to mention in case it would matter more to someone else. Bright spots are only light reflections. Beautiful set to complete your lighting!
