This old industrial light was made by Appleton Electric Company. I think it's mad e mainly of aluminum with a glass dome lens. I really don't know much about it. But it seems like it would be a good one to convert into a regular 110 table lamp, ceiling, or wall fixture. It's pictured sitting on a roll of tape. There's a little piece on the side at the bottom that sticks down just enough to be in the way. It has 2 rivets that could be drilled out if you want to remove it. Not including that piece it measures about 12 1/2" tall. About 4 1/2" across at the bottom and nearly 9" across at it's widest point. It has scuffs. Scraches, use-wear, and some speckles of spray paint on and around the red tag. I have another one. If this one does well I may offer it to the highest bidder at the same price(high bid each) if that buyer wants a pair. It weighs around 10 lbs. unpacked. Crouse-Hindes Co. EVA 120. Class 1 group C&D, Modle M2, 200-300 watt bulb, Made in USA, I found 6 of these at a old pump station here in Wyoming. I have 3 left. all in the excellent shape. Lot of four very early. Turn of the century, almost primitive, steel wire explosion proof light bulb guards. Only two are pictured but all four are identical.Four inches tall each. These came from the rafters of the former H&R Manufactory who made all kinds of early steel wire products. These could have been from their r&d dept- not sure. Not cleaned in any fashion.

Here is an original authentic vintage Killark Industrial Explosion Proof Light. Marked on the front with a metal label identifying the Killark name and make/model information. Great industrial light in very nice condition. Outside is green enamel/porcelain in very nice shape with very minor scuffs/scratches, no significant paint loss, dings, dents, or scratches. Inside of shade is white with only a couple areas of wear(shown in pictures around shade rim area) There is a very tiny bit of rust right around the rim of the shade but other than that is very clean. I believe the rest of the lamp fixture is cast aluminum as I do not see any rust in this area. This lamp measures about 22" in length, and the diameter of the shade is about 12" The lamp and fixture weigh just under 15 lbs. VINTAGE INDUSTRIAL NAUTICAL BRASS SHIP LIGHT EXPLOSION PROOF BRASS SWITCH ALARM
This light. Switch and alarm are all made out of solid brass and came off a an Alaska trawler/processor which was retrofitted in the early 1990's. I got this from one of the guys who did the retrofit. The name of the boat was the Pacific Ranger which has since sunk in Alaska. From what this guy said this was used on the boat in case of fire or emergency. The light would be switched on and the alarm bell would ring. The light and switch are made by Lovell of New Jersey. The light has a brass cage which unscrews and the glass dome inside unscrews as well. The light measures 8 1/ high and is close to 5" around. The switch is really neat and measures approx 3 1/2" around and has mounting tabs. The switch and light have been rewired and work perfectly. The alarm has not been wired but looks great. EVA 115 MA Max Bulb A25 United Laboratories. INC No. A296376 The green porcelian is in good shape. There is a little corrosion around the inside of the rim, not rust that is all the way through. The collar appears to be a galvanized type metal. The arm(measures approx. 28" long) and has some light rust. The rust could be easily cleaned and repainted. This is a Crouse and Hinds hazardous conditions light in good used condition. This light is 12&1/2 inches in diameter and 10 inches tall(the smallest kind like this I have) and this light was out of an old building porch area but not totally outside so its in better shape than one that was totally exposed since the or 30's or 40's. This light has a DL 111 globe and the fixture is a DLA 201. I spent 5min cleaning the aluminum top with steel wool and that seemed to do the trick! And totally changed the look of the aluminum top. I bet with a little more elbow grease this light could almost look new.

Up for auction is a unique explosion proof speaker I picked in Ohio from an abandon mining complex. The mining complex was abandoned in the 60's. This speaker would have been used as an explosion proof speaker in the underground mine for paging employees and personnel throughout the mine. The item is heavy and has been mounted in place for over 50 years and is still in great condition. I would say it probably weighs around 10-15 lbs and is very rugged and industrial. It has a flange on the bottom which has two holes for mounting. I am not sure of the working condition but I would imagine if it were taken apart and looked over and possibly wired with a new cord It would work. Well I hope someone really enjoys this cool piece. Great finish that has pitting and age wear from decades of use and exposure. Green reflector/shade with white interior is good and clean. For your consideration is an extremely rare vintage light/lamp fixture used in the mining industry. auction piece#91) We have researched the history on these fixtures and were informed that they were only manufactured and used on a special mining project in Pennsylvania long ago. They were discovered in a vintage mining collection estate sale in upper Pennsylvania. Out of the collection was one complete unit which had a metal tag on it which read"Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Department of Mining. It also had a copper conduit tube leading into one side of the fixure which held and protected the gas line or electrical wires(however it was powered) Each mining fixture also had a round window on the end of the housing which could be unscrewed for accessing the interior of each unit. As you can see from the photos. There are also threaded ... moreholes in the fixture where bolts were screwed into. These holes allowed several units to be bolted together for more intense lighting. There can be seen in the photos some mounting corners/ears where a bolt was affixed-apparently these units were mounted to the inside walls of the mine with the non-window side facing the wall. One picture should show you that the"ears" or"tips" or whatever, used to loosen/tighten the cap on the wiring junction box, has ONE bad spot where the tips of ONE piece were broken off. Antique Killark Industrial Pendant Light Fixture Vintage Explosion Proof Lamp
For sale is an early 20th Century pendant light fixture made by the Killark Electric Mfg Co. I believe it dates to the early to mid 1930's. It's constructed of heavy cast aluminum. The wiring and socket look to be original and are untested. The lights in overall good condition. One small chip is missing on the housing near the top. There is some wear inside and out as to be expected with a light this old. Two of the three screws that hold on the metal cage are missing but should be easy to replace.
