This is a high quality, handmade copy. The blacksmith was a craftsman and the quality is exceptional with a surface that looks 18th century. Every part of this Candle Chandelier is hand wrought. The center ball measures 7” tall by 8” in diameter and each triple candle socket arm measures 14” long by 18 ½” wide. The overall measurement of this large Chandelier is 25” tall including the S-hook at the top by 32” in diameter between the outside drip pans under the candle sockets. If you search the net you will find examples of this wrought iron fixture being sold for authentic. I haven’t been able to pin down exactly when they were made, however I suspect they are from the 1960s, give or take. If you could find an authentic 18th century Wrought Iron Chandelier that was equal to the quality of this Chandelier, it would be worth in the 5 figures. Up for auction we have these antique folk art wrought iron outside or inside porch lanterns. Lamps, light fixtures, or candle holders. These are original old fixture not reproductions. Truly great pieces with normal wear from old age and a few paint spots, and minor rust nothing bad. They measure 14 inches top to bottom, and 8 inches at widest point. Each have 5 glass panels, all glass in great condition no damage at all. It looks to me like whom ever made them stopped short of finishing them. Can very easily be wired for electrical lamps.
