No cracks to the marble base with is 10 inches in diameter this lamp is very heavy I bought it at a palm beach estate auction about two years ago. I had it in storage until this week. dont know where to put it in my new smaller house cant keep leaving it in storage it has a wonderful patina. Pair of guilded bronze sconces. French made in the empire style around 1840-1860. See picture of back of sconce. Noting that these were cast from a mold. 15 inches from top of sconce to bottom. Weigh several pounds each. I purchased these over 12 years ago at the Paris Antique Mart in Saint-Quen. Condition of each is excellent. With minimal wear to guilding, no major scratches and no dents. This is a 4 light chandelier. Solid cast brass with black tole accents. The chains are ornate cast brass as well. The chain and canopy are solid cast brass as well as the large flame shape fineal in the centre. The attention to detail is second to none.
