Very beautiful! We are pleased to offer this antique(c1940s) French. Louis XVI styled brass and crystal chandelier. This lovely, elegant fixture is LOADED with crystal details. The chandelier frame is brilliant brass, open cage design, with an incised, faux twist pattern on the arms. The frame is a delicate brass cage which is scrolled on the top and bottom. The frame attaches to the bottom of the chandelier in between each arm. The top of the fixture has a total of 8 large crystal florettes attached to the scrolled frame. There are 8 of the florettes toward the lower section of the frame as well. There are 3 tiers of crystal beaded chains which attach horizontally to the fixture. The top section of chain features a large, blue, raindrop crystal which hangs(vertically) in the center of the chains. The middle row of chains have a 4 bead crystal ... morechain that hangs vertically in the center. The bottom tier of horizontal chains do not have a vertical feature as the candle sleeves rise at this mid section. The bottom of the chandelier features 9 blue raindrop crystals. There is expected aging to the brass patina in a few areas. But overall it is still brilliant brass in color. Florettes are in very good condition. This is a beautifully ornate bronze chandelier gold dore with lots of period detail with a lot prisms. The ceiling rose is richly embossed with sweeping plumes of feathers on a stippled background. Below this the suspension chain is made up of pretty embossed links and it attaches to the light with a large ornate bronze hook. The slender column is festooned with more lavish embossing and the striking main body is a mass of swirling plumes both top and bottom. With a contrasting plain center band. Each of the eight arms extends from the center curving elegantly and picking up on the design features seen else where. Your offer is for this beautiful Vintage Chandelier that I believe is to be an 8 Arm French Brass chandelier. But not absolutely sure. It is simply a gorgeous and beautiful piece that is in Very Good Working condition. It measures approximately 22 inches in diameter and hangs down 22 inches from the main shackle on the top of the unit. This chandelier has a 15 lighting positions, 8 on the arms, 4 on the lower base and 3 on the top base. I have night photos to give you a better visual. There are a total of(10) 13 inch vertical strands of crystals. There were originally more than that. But. Because some were missing, I separated them evenly to give it a more attractive and appealing look. The other crystals, which I did not count, are facing the correct way, I spent a lot of time getting them all in correct positions and facing that way for ... morea good presentation. The wiring still appears to be fine, I have wired it to a standard plug so that I could test it. I will leave it that way so you can plug it in and test it for yourself once you receive it.
