It is all original and has a lovely warm aged patina. The design is very elegant and understated with five curving outswept branches carrying the electrical fittings. The central column is baluster in form and is finished with a finial at the base. It has a hanging chain and ceiling canopy and is in good working order with an earth connection. These are 4 stunning and very classic antique crystal glass bobeches with scalloped edges and a very elegant beveled diamond pattern. They are very very big. It makes such a lovely sound when there is a breeze but I Am sure tubes are fragile. Looking from underneath looks to be shape of 4-leaf clover. I took it from my grandmothers estate(home built in 1910) to use in my"new to us" 1900 home but when we moved in it just did not work. I've been collecting these for about 10 years and this rock crystal dome was one of the first in my collection. It has an amazing reflective quality with the hundreds and hundreds of multi-faceted crystals. The beads graduate in size from Kim Kardashian carats to petite and perfect baubles of light. The finial is also beautiful and a rare find. In fabulous condition especially given the age. This dates to the 1940's or thereabouts. It was originally used as a flush mount chandelier. I've also seen beaded domes as sconces. Too, though. There are no beads missing. The shape is slightly lop-sided but can be"perfect" if you so desire. This very elegant antique electric light sconce is made of porcelain with an angular Art Deco shape and a subtle floral pattern. I don't see any manufacturer identification on it. But if it's a Porcelier, it might have come with a paper label that's fallen off. To give you an idea of dimensions. It is about 5¾" tall, 4" wide, and about 4" deep. Although the wiring looks old, we have hooked it up to test it, and it does work, porcelain pull switch and all. The bulb socket feels a little loose and wobbly, though, as if maybe it started out in life with a cardboard sleeve as a shim. Also, we haven't tested the built-in two-pin socket, and we don't have any of the hardware to attach it to the wall. This very elegant antique four-bulb electric light chandelier has been tested. So I can say it works, switches and all. It looks like it's been recently re-wired, unfortunately with a contemporary type of cable. Starting at the top. It has no canopy or donduit rod, so it starts with a 6-link chain, which attaches to a final screwed into the multi-part body, with the bulb holders cantilevered and hanging off to the sides. To give you an idea of dimensions, the"pan" is about 10½" in diameter; and the decorative brackets that hold the bulb holders are about 5¼" long. I've run a magnet over it all. And the only thing that have a pull are the chain links.
