Amazing 36" antique 1/4 oak beveled oval entry door original hardware knob bell
Instant curb appeal. This ornate door is absolutely beautiful and have not seen another like it. The door is 1/4 rd oak with the desirable beveled oval window. The exterior has large fluted columns finished with carvings and dental crown molding on top. Huge. The door is almost 5" thick at top of molding. Below is raised panles with heavy carved moldings. The original door bell is present along with door knobs and plates, no hinges or dead bolt. The door bell handle is solid brass and has cast iron mech with nickle plated bell. The interior of the door is super clean with recessed quartered oak. The door is 36" wide by 82 1/4" tall x 1 3/4" + thick moldings. The door is old, used and although not perfect, it is in super condition. My best guess is it looks like the original finish and possibly topcoated if at all. Up for grabs is this nice Brass Door Knocker Maskaron Head! Nice ornate details throughout the entire piece. This piece is medium sized so it is not tiny. But not massive at the same time. Has a slight patina to it, but it is very slight, giving it a little extra character. I picked this piece up at an estate sale where everything in the home was from the early 1900's to the 1960's, so I can't be exact on the age on this piece. The handle was made from real walnut wood. The finish on the wood is original and has aged nicely so as to give it a pleasing warm color. Antique Georgian Period Brass Lions Head Door Knocker Large 9" Marked
Wow! This one came away from some thick door! The mounting screws attached are 4" long and a little rusted. There is some kind of Makers Mark or Signature mark. As highlighted on back in one of my photos. I can't decipher what it says. Although I've read that so many of these were one of a kind, And usually went unmarked. No strike plate to go with it. I've tried to capture it's fine quality and fantastic condition. Given it's age. Hand forged moving. Screws. And movement of striker is great. It is large; 9" high x 5 1/4" and weighs 3 lb. 4 oz. Door Bell Ornate Brass Antique Mechanical w Brass T-Handle Ringer Works
A beautiful. Working 130 to140 year old solid ornately cast brass doorbell and solid brass T-handle ring lever. The base of the bell that attaches to the inside of the door is cast iron and bears no makers name. There are several patent date, but are difficult to read. Also included is the beautifully decorated exterior T- handle lever for ringing the bell when it is lifted up or down. It has no maker or patent date listed. The bell has a loud and clear ring that resonates after being struck inside by the mechanical hammer. The internal mechanism has been cleaned and oiled. The color of the cast brass on the bell is gold color while the T-handle is more to the red shade. The two parts were often made by different companies using different formulations of brass. They were often purchased separately after being selected out of hardware store ... morecatalogs. Since each is on a different side of the door. Any differences are seldom seen. Both pieces were professionally polished. But not clear coated to allow the brass to slowly patina in the future. The arm on the T-handle that goes thru the door is 2 7/8 inches long and would accomodate doors up to 2 1/2 inches thick. The bell`s iron base is 6 in. wide from mounting tab to tab. The screw holes are on 5 1/2 in. centers. The brass bell dome and top nut are 2 1/4 in. tall. The brass bell dome is 4 3/4 in. wide. The T-handle plate is 5 3/4 in. long x 2 3/4 in. wide. Its screw holes are on 4 1/4 in. centers. The bell and ringer handle weigh a hefty 2 pounds together. The shipping shown is for any of the 48 continental US states. Antique cast iron woodpecker door knocker from historic St. Augustine F lorida estate. This door knock is quite un ique as it has a pull chain which is used to operate the knocker. I fou nd no mark ings on this piece. The chain is in strong working condition. I've not been able to find another knocker which uses the pull chain to create the knocking peck of the woodpecker. Here is another old door bell button. We got a group of these mid 20th century door bell or buzzer buttons and it is fun to see all of the different designs. This one is a tudor or gothic revival style. It is 3 15/16 inches long and 1 7/8 inches wide. The metal cover or back plate is a heavy aluminum covered with black paint finish. The finish has a couple of spots of silver paint on it. Plus light wear around the edges. The button is plastic. This vintage button will look great on an older home or a home made from traditional materials like brick or stone.

Old antique Edwardian period solid bronze Godshill Pixie and Frog door knocker
This is for an old antique Edwardian period solid bronze Godshill Pixie and Frog/ Toad on Toadstool door knocker it also has above the Pixie a Snail and a Frog. It measures about 5" in size, the back knocker plate has two holes for fixing, the condition very good but in need of a good polish up or best left as it is with the years of natural colouring. SEE NOTE BELOW The village of Godshill on the Isle of Wight has quite an interesting story attached to it with regards to the origin of its name. And some visitors may already be aware of the lucky pixy charms which are sold in the village. Usually these charms are found in the West Country, particularly Cornwall and Devon, but until recently Godshill was the only other place where these charms could be found. In the beginning of the 15th Century it was decided to build a new church in ... morethe village. And the villagers discussed where it should built. Eventually they chose a field close to the centre of the village, and began to lay the foundations. The next day, they found that all the work had been undone, and the building materials had been moved to the top of a nearby hill. Believing that they were a victim of a prank. The grumbling villagers returned the equipment to its original place and began work once again. The following morning. They again discovered the foundations removed and placed carefully on top of the hill. This happened the next day also. And the next, until someone realised that it must have been the pixies who had moved the materials. For reasons known only to them, the pixies wanted the church to be built on the hill. So the villagers took the pixies advice and built the church on the hill, which later came to be known as God's Hill.

This was taken off of a very old home in Illinois. Circa 1900's still working when I removed it over 20 years ago. Was planning to use it but obviously I have not. On the reverse it says Pat.
