We can see a predominant Art Nouveau theme with Louis XVI elements. It originally had a central gas lamp and two additional lamps at each end. The gas lamps are now converted to hold electric bulbs. This is a counterweighted lamp: the center section can be extended/retracted with a chain and pulley system. This system works as it should except the chains could be longer. The bronzework on this chandelier is excellent. With high quality construction and nicely done details. It is nicely patinated to a medium bronze color and we did not attempt any restoration or polishing. The wiring and sockets are old and in poor condition and must be replaced before use. We are pleased to offer this EXCEPTIONAL. Antique, brass, French Art Nouveau chandelier! This extraordinary 5 light fixure features a brass cage, hour glass, frame. It is accented with a small brass urn in the upper center with petite tole flowers. There are 5 large fern leaves or fronds that attach to each arm with a brass florette. The fern leaves sweep upward and arch outward and display a wonderfully incised pattern. The chandelier's arms curve outward from the center. The light sockets are housed in brass, bell shaped bobeches with extremely ornate floral brass trim. A circular and twisted brass piece connects the arms at the bottom section. There is a very nicley patterned bottom finial to complete the chandelier. This is an old fixture and dates to the 1920s. It has been recently rewried and it is ready to install. But it has been recreated into a one of a kind working piece of art. This gorgeous chandelier embodies that grand eras of Art Deco and Nouveau. The frame is a dark antique gold color. It is very ornate and made of brass. The brass is thick, heavy and every inch shows intricate molded detailing. As shown. It hangs 36 inches.The 11 inch chain could be shortened easily or lengthened without much trouble. The body of it is 25 inches and it is 7 1/2 inches wide. It takes 1 regular base bulb. The decorative jewels/prisms are amber, antique gold, charcoal and clear. The jewels and prisms were painstakingly sought out over time for their unique beauty and come from my personal collection. Pair of beautiful late Victorian or Art Nouveau electrified candle sconces in ornate brass. They are marked on the back with PCCF. And +++++ underneath. At first I had thought they were made for a church(and they may well have been) but some internet research found another piece with the PCCF markings. Skinner Auctions sold a French Art Nouveau fireplace screen marked PCCF and 151CC for $652 in June of 2011. So these are definitely high end sconces; substantial. Ornate and beautiful metalwork from all angles. They measure approximately 8-1/2" high. 6-1/4" deep, and 3" wide at candle cup. Probably made for candles. I believe someone has wired them. I have not tested them, though from the look of the wires, they have been used. They are marked in pen"R" and"L" on the back.

You are bidding on an absolutely beautiful solid brass Antique FRENCH ART NOUVEAU with FRENCH LADIES circa early 1900's 3 light chandelier pendant light fixture with Alabaster shades; the shades are a mixture of amber. Ivory and slate green colors. It measures approximately 22" across x 43" in length and the ceiling plate is approximately 6.25" wide. This fixture has been rewired. This is a very unique and very heavy solid brass fixture. Three tips of one of the alabaster shades petals have broken off. These do not even show when on the fixture, but I want you to be aware(see the pictures)otherwise this is a very ornate& beautiful fixture in excellent condition. Art nouveau deco geometric nickel bronze ? Bomb chandelier Light Lustre French ?
I will try to describe this as best as I can; I am not a lighting expert but I do know a nice thing when I see it! If I am in error in any way. I welcome a polite correction and will add to the listing accordingly. This light fitting is the most wonderful shape. It puts me in mind of an archetypal WW1 bomb with it's upper fins. It is extremely heavy and although I'm not absolutely sure what it is made out of, it could be bronze that was nickle plated/ gilded, originally. It weighs just under 8kg, it is 75cms from the bottom point to the top of the loop fitting and it is 55cms across it's widest point. I haven't attempted to clean it in any way as it looks great the way it is. I'm sure a new owner would be the best one to decide how to use or restore it if need be. Apart from what I presume is obvious loss to the original ... morefinish, there is no damage that I can see, no dents or breakages. The shade sconces are a little out of shape here and there but nothing serious. Of course, the whole thing would need re-wiring and new bulb fittings installed but it will look sensational in the right room, I'm sure. There is a chain attachment at the top with no ceiling rose but I'm sure that this would not be too much of a problem to source. I do have 5 pink satin shades that came with the fitting and will post a picture anon. I think however that some frosted Muller or Degue shades would suit it better. Obviously the postage for this item is going to be very high- around £25 to £30 for Europe and certainly around the £100 mark to the USA. The fins at the top of the fixture and the 5 lower arms do unscrew. So it would be fairly straight forward to re-assemble. I am happy to post abroad but please do bear in mind the costs. I am happy of course to mail within the UK but would really prefer personal pick-up/ collection. If possible. I have acquired a handful of lighting pieces from this period. Up for your review and consideration is this stunning Art Nouveau 5 Arms Brass Bronze Chandelier with French Frosted Glass Flame Shades from France circa 1910's. It has beautiful ornate designs all over. The arms are held with brass screws which I replaced with new brass ones as the old ones were weak and full of rust. The chain is 33" long without the chandelier to adjust to whatever ceiling height the buyer has. It came from a house with Cathedral ceilings on Miami Beach. The chandelier itself is 20" tall. The arms have ornate design and scrolls. It's 14" across in diameter with the shades. It's been rewired by a local electrician. All the buyer has to do is have it polished even though it looks good as is. It needs to be cleaned but the new owners can do that. I have an extra glass shade which will be included ... morewith the sale of the this gorgeous chandelier. It is an absolutely gorgeous chandelier. This little Jewel stands a little over 13" high. Overall width is 11" and the stand has a diameter of 6" It features a lovely hammered design on the shade and base. The shade has 3 carbochons in blue. Amber and purple. They are not just glued on top of the shade, but inset, so the light shines right through. It has a fringe of yellow little glass beads all around the shade, but some of the beads have come off over the years. The lamp shade can be adjusted in all directions. It has the original porcelain socket which will accept standard light bulbs. The electrical cord has been changed at one time and we changed the plug to accommodate our receptacles.
