Measuring approx. 36" tall and 25" across is this monumental hand forged( a true early artisan blacksmith creation) forged iron with no welds all iron is tooled and hammer meshed together to act as a unit, iron clasp and forged rivets. 4 tubular forged iron gas tubes that lead to 4 forged duel valves w/ bronze control knobs( couple are bent) for a total of 8 flames or torches. Flame nozzles appear as a mini fire hose nozzle, 12 original separate mica lens( material used in old wood stove windows) encircle the entire chandelier with 1 broke. For your consideration. This stunning antique French iron candelabra is a large scale piece that was made in France in the late 19th century. This was hand-made, so its crudeness is the highlight of its charm. I hope you can see what I mean by magnifying the pictures. You can see the texture and where seams of iron meet, etc. It's really a gorgeous piece. I love those swooping arms of the fleur de lys. The pointed bottom of this is bent forward some. As is the top, but only very slightly. There is an opening at the top for hanging and an old wire on the top and bottom that doesn't serve a purpose. I just like selling things as I found them. These wires can be snipped off. They seem to be as old as the candelabra. The back of this has some white areas were it looks like some of a wall came off with it where it had been hanging, which ... morewas in the home of a 95-year-old Los Angeles collector. This is 32.5" wide. 36" from tip to tip, and the candle arms protrude 15.5" from the wall at the farthest point at the top of the candle holders.
