Vintage Mid Century Glass Orb Ball Globe Ceiling Pendants Light Fixture
Thank you for choosing Vintage Apt for that special something.you never know what the Gypsy Lady will bring! Vintage Ceiling Light Fixture Vintage Mid-Century modern ceiling light fixture. This fixture has two white globes that hang at staggered heights from the ceiling plate by chains. The ceiling plate is round and the center comes to a pointed peak- it is kind of a bronzy/brown in color. The white globes are beautiful and round with no damage at all and are capped with bell-shaped finials. Would look great over a bar. Dining area, etc. Measurements. The ceiling plate is approx 11" wide. Each globe or light shade is approx 10 1/2" long measuring from the top of the finial to the bottom of the glass opening. And is about 8" wide. From the ceiling this fixture hangs down about 20" there's about a 3" difference ... morein the heights of the two shades. On the underside of the ceiling plate is the old Underwriters Laboratory label and the Union Made label. Condition(on a scale of poor. Fair, good, very good, excellent) is very good. The glass has no chips, cracks, fleabites.it's excellent. The ceiling plate is very good with no damage but a few marks as befits its' age. The chains that suspend the globes have dirt and tarnish. The whole piece will need a bit of cleaning, but it's not too bad really. A small cleaning, then wire into your location. When problems happen! 1) One thing that comes up occasionally is that a purchase is received and it isn't the size you imagined it would be. Before purchasing check the measurements in the listing. I think brass or copper, it is of those colors, and tarnishes, black to green in some places, and is very heavy/solid/dense. The large glass ball is a thick clear glass with a raised design. It was working perfectly fine when it was removed. It is easy to assemble and disassemble, and comes with everything you see pictured. Hanging plate is 5 inches wide, Total hanging length is 33 inches, Pendant itself without chain is about 17 inches, glass ball has about 10 inch diameter. Total fixture weighs about 8 pounds. These bobeche are in good condition. The largest is 5" in dia, I believe that this one is Crystal it has cut swills cut thump around the top with 13 holes to hold crystal drops, the one with electric part I believe is glass, and flower shape is lead crystal. the two smaller is 4"dia. and has five holes each to hold drops. 3 1/4 Inch Glass Ball Shade Holophane ?
This 31/4 Glass Shade is round. And it appears to be from the holophane family. The shade is intact, and there does appear to be some straw lines or cracks running along the under side of the shade.It appears to be very usable in this condition. There is a rough area around the lower part of the fitter rim. This is there because the manufacturer has pooped the inner part of the fitter out, and it was hand filed to not have sharp points. This is how you can tell it is an original shade, and not a reproduction. Please check the other auctions, as there are antique shades in most of them. Please wait for an invoice before you pay.
