Antique 1920's Brass Ceiling Light Fixture Open Flower Design. Great old antique light fixture that is fresh out of a college dorm lobby built in 1927. I didn't see if light was working but. It was still being used, the campus came thru and removed all the bulbs from all the fixtures. The wiring looks and feels very good for a 86 yr old fixture, it will be buyers responsibility to determine safety of wiring. Fixture's base measures 11-1/4" in diameter and stands 7-1/4" tall to top of lamp sockets. Each lamp socket has a push base switch 2 of them switch good a 2 don't switch so good. Base of fixture is made of thin metal with socket stucture made of thick material which is brass.

It has a sturdy all brass ornately designed back plate with roman column brass neck and brass plate under the light fixture. There is a floral design on the bottom of the back plate and a sun design in the center of the back plate. The light fixture and wiring are very well gone and the Leviton switch definitely needs to be replaced with a new light fixture. vintage lighting fixture from 1947, white opaque with flower design
Before my house was torn down we removed this cool vintage light fixture. It is a fabulous example of 1940s lighting. My house was built in 1947 so the fixture is from that time period. It is an opaque white with a shadow floral design, it measures about 10" in diameter across the part that faces the ceiling, the housing is about 5" in diameter at the top. The glass hangs from three chains from the housing, the chains are a bit rusty and the housing does have some asbestos residue inside the top. It is a beautiful fixture and perfect for vintage décor. I do combine shipping so check out the other items I have listed. I note any damage that I see, if I miss something it is not intentional. I do have cats so if you're allergic or have any other animal issues bear that in mind. Shipping includes postage and handling supplies, ... moreso that would be bubble wrap, boxes, popcorn, tape, address labels, etc; so if you think shipping is too high please let someone else have the item that really wants it. If I find that I have charged too much for shipping I will refund the difference immediately. Most of the items that I sell belonged to treasured family members and I would hope the people that buy them will honor that history. I am currently shipping free to Delaware as it is the only U.S. State I have not Ebayed anything to yet.
