It's made of solid pine and is stained and finished on both sides. If you think that pine is a weak. Soft wood; please keep in mind that the wood milled from modern pine trees, which only grow for a few decades before they are cut down, is not the same quality as the wood that was milled by our forefathers from trees that were hundreds of years old. This door was built using the wood from mature pine trees, and exhibits the qualities of wood that has endured the test of time. As a result, it's physically harder, less susceptible to warping and twisting, and more insect and rot resistant than today's pine lumber. The door was originally a part of a pair. ... moreIt was the door that didn't have the lockset. Which means there are no lock holes to be plugged. It also had the astragal(divider strip or stop molding) which could be removed to make the door about 1" narrower. Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However.
