Penn Antique Restoration. 32"x 84" Antique Exterior Red Oak Door w/ 9 Beveled Glass Lites. Bold. Antique, exterior door salvaged from an old home in Ohio. The door has a solid red oak core covered with(1/4" thick red oak veneers and has a beautiful assortment of 9 beveled glass lites that really add a beautiful look to the door. Please don't think that"veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture. These veneers are 1/8" thick and provide strength and stability to the door. Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However. We have a good selection of period hardware to outfit the door(check out our eBay store) If you would like any of the hardware holes patched with a solid block of wood. Please email us for a quote. Condition: On the exterior ... moreside of the door. The tops of the lock and hinge stiles, the lock housing, and the bottom and top rails are all chipped; there is a piece of wood missing from the edge of the lock stile; and there is a gap between the top rail and lock stile. The last owner of the door put putty to hide it instead of fixing the gap. On the interior side of the door. The bottom rail, the top of the hinge stile and the dead bolt hole are all chipped; there is a crack in the top of the lock stile; the top 3 glass lites are all missing some pieces of molding; there is a piece of wood missing from the edge of the lock stile; and the bottom panel is slightly warped. Otherwise. This door is in very good shape with only surface scrapes, scratches, small nail holes-minor cosmetic blemishes, which would be removed during the finishing process or covered if painted. The door has a solid wood core made of Douglas Fir covered with 1/16" thick oak veneers. Both sides of the door are painted. Please don't think that"veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture. These veneers are 1/16" thick and provide strength and stability to the door. The door also has a full-length. OUTSTANDING! ANTIQUE EASTLAKE FRONT ENTRY DOOR BEVELED GLASS PANES WOOD HARDWARE
This is such a gorgeous door. I hate to let it go. I found it in Missouri about 8 years ago after my house burned down. I intended for it to be my new front door, but as I rebuilt the house, my design changed from a slightly Victorian/Farm look to more a Craftsman/Lodge style. No longer did its beauty compliment the style of the emerging home. I often thought I would find a use for it, but so far it's sat upright against a wall in my garage. Time to pass it along. First of all. It's truly stunning with mortise and tenon joinery. It has a beautiful honey color and has worn unusually well for it's age. There are a few divets and scratches, but nothing major or unsightly.only added character. A previous owner has used a brown putty on a few of them, and to be honest, I didn't notice them until taking the pictures to post here. ... moreThe one imperfection that I had taken notice of when I bought it was a crack in one of the glass panes. It's in the corner and measures approximately 1 1/2" It does not appear to compromise the integrity of the glass pane at all and is not distracting to the eye. All the glass panes have a lovely beveled edge and add charm to an already enchanting door. The bottom front panels have the usual trademark Eastlake designs and also the wonderfully decorative Eastlake hardware including the front and back plate and the inner locking/latch piece. There is no knob. I have no idea, if once complete that the internal hardware will operate properly or not. Although, you shouldn't have much of a problem finding something else, including knobs.they are all over E-bay! I do have cast iron Eastlake style hinges(a set of three) that I will include. The hinge side of the door has several holes where previous hinges had attached. These can be filled and when I place the hinges up to them there are several holes that hit virgin wood and should grab nicely. There is a borehole for a deadbolt that measures 1 1/4" 1 1/2" diameter. The back side of the door is nice and simple w

1926 Quaint Sears Home Arched Front Door With Small Window & Hardware
For your consideration. An arched top door I was told from a 1926 Sears home. The interior is unpainted wood veneer that is set diagonally. The exterior has been painted gray blue, with two vertical panels, with a small window at the upper right. The original hardware is still in place, do not have the key. Appears there was a dead bolt at one time just over the lock as seen in the photo. In good overall condition. The window has a small break near the top. Measures 31-5/8" wide x 77" high I dusted it off, but with a good cleaning this door look wonderful! Vintage Front Entry Beveled Glass Oak Door with Hardware and Doorbell
This is a great old oak door out of a house in Port Jervis. NY. It is a very heavy solid oak door. It still has its original brass hardware and it has a fantastic wind up spring-release door bell. The bell winds from the inside and rings and unwinds when the button is pushed on the outside. There are two keys for the lock; the lock is in working condition. There is no doorknob. The hinges are Stanley Works, and are stamped with the sweetheart logo(s.w. inside a heart) which dates them between 1920 and 1935, which likely dates this door as well. The beveled glass is in great condition. The first 5 photos are of the interior of the door. The interior surface is in very good, clean shape the only issue being that curtain rods were repeatedly hung and rehung causing a cluster of small nail holes at each corner. The holes can be seen in the photo ... morewith the close-up of the hinge. Photos 6- 11 are of the exterior of the door. The exterior is veneered-not sure what type of wood was used for the veneer-could also be oak. The surface is nicely aged with the typical darkening and crackling of the varnish that gives character to old doors. There are a few cracks in the veneer on the bottom panel as can be seen in the photos; the rest of the door is clean. Picture 12 is our frozen-faced aussiedoodle, Gracie!
