~ BEAUTIFUL SET ANTIQUE CARVED WALNUT DOUBLE FRENCH DOORS ARCHITECTURAL SALVAGE
Description This is a door that were salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian home. It is made of walnut and is painted on both sides. There is glass at the top. One has the original beveled glass and the other was replaced with flat glass. They have very ornate fronts. There are carved pediments above the glass. The shelves are trimmed in dentil molding below. The lower raised panels are trimmed in ornate moldings. They measure 47 inches wide by 87.25 tall and are 2.25 thick. Overall they are in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as they are antique. They could use a good cleaning. The astrigal needs work. There are 2 deadbolt holes and a mail slot. The moldings around the glass are not original to one door. Most of the hardware needs replacing. Please look at the pictures carefully. Ref: 21321 Shipping. Beautiful Antique Eastlake Victorian Brass Doorbell Pullchain Bell Hardware NICE
Up for auction is this antique doorbell. It was purchased at auction here in Ohio. It measures@ 5" in diameter. It has nice Eastlake style decoration on the brass bell. The back and inside components appear to be made of cast iron. The patent date on the inside is 1876. The bell is complete except for the pullchain. You can see on the photo which shows you the back side a channel that the chain goes in. You can easily attach a small chain or rope to make this complete. It has a nice ring to it. These doors are amazing. I purchased them from a gentleman that traveled all over Asia. The middle east and north Africa. He had many many doors so he could not pinpoint where this exact one came from but it was somewhere in those regions. The green patina on these doors is amazing! The wonderfully carved center strip is a site to behold, amazing craftsman ship. This is a 2 sided door so it has 2 pieces with the center strip attached to one of the pieces. The doors are in good condition with a few nicks and scratches that can easily be sanded out. The glass is perfect with no chips or cracks. There are no hinges. The latch is still attached but is missing 3 screws. So you can add the screws or remove the last one and install the latch of your choice.
