Item: 1971 N.T.C. Apollonio Guitar. Design by Gordon Bok, Handcrafted in Rockport, ME, USA. Condition& Description: Good used condition. This instrument looks great to be over 40 years old. The bridge has a small crack in it before the low E string and it is also pulling up just a little bit. There are several scratches on the front of the body of varying lengths and depths. The bottom right hand corner has a nice ding/chip on it. There is a very narrow visible gap on the left front body between the body and inlay seam.When feeling the front body of the guitar it is easy to feel the seams of the pieces of wood that comprise the front body. This guitar has open back Grover tuners on it and they all functioned properly when turned. We are not 100% positive but we believe that the primary wood used in the construction of the body of this ... moreguitar was mahogany. The 3/4 circle on the top of the head stock may have two small chips in it but we are not sure if it was just made that way or not. Around the sound hole is a clock face with Roman numerals. This a beautiful hand crafted guitar with a ton of character and it is definitely a collectors item representing the early work of Nikos Apollonio. Inside the sound hole on the handprinted label the following can be read: N.T.C. Apollonio. Rockport, ME, Aug. 1971, Design: Gordon Bok. Between the date and the final line of print there is a line of print that has been blacked out. The first word of that print appears to be the word For. Included: Very old. Custom Ibanez Radius w/ Dimarzio Pickups and Van Halen II Paint Design!
This appears to be an early 90's Radius 4xx series body with a newer Ibanez neck replaced some time more recently. It is not a Wizard neck because the fretboard is not super-flat. The fretboard is more rounded. Like the Radius. Satriani, and S-series necks. And it is skinny in the back for buttery fast playing. The frets are still tall and full of life, and were recently crowned and polished. There is no neck joint crack like many of these old models have. The chrome Ibanez logo appears to be an added decal. And it looks quite nice. The headstock is equipped with Grover tuners. I had my favorite pickup combination installed- a Dimarzio Super Distortion in the bridge and Dimarzio Paf Pro in the neck- with all new pots. Wiring, and jack. 1989 YAMAHA IMAGE MGS CUSTOM ELECTRIC GUITAR WITH CASE Active Passive Circuit. Fingerboard LED's, Carved Maple Top, Pro Setup WORLDWIDE SHIPPING AVAILABLE! This a rare 1989 Yamaha Image Custom electric guitar with original case. The idea that would become the Yamaha Image began in 1980. When Gibson introduced the 335-S, its solidbody take on the ES-335. Martyn Booth, a prominent UK guitar builder was not impressed and started work on his own version. Time passed, and by’87, Booth was working for the Yamaha organization in the U.K. Yamaha was looking for an upscale guitar to complement its venerable SG line. Booth dusted off his solidbody 335, and the Yamaha Image was born; it was known as the MSG(Martyn’s Solid Guitar) but was marketed as the"Image" line in the US. It had a mahogany body with a carved maple cap and glued-in ... moremahogany neck. Scale was 25” Top binding was maple, and finish options were blond, cherry, and orange sunburst. The MSG/Image guitars were made in three grades. The Standard had twin humbuckers. Rosewood fingerboard, and a stop-tail with strings running through the body. The Deluxe had an ebony’board and RM Pro double-locking vibrato. The Custom. Shown here, had a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and the latest technology from Yamaha’s Japanese labs; pickups were Hybrid Integrated Pickup System(HIPS) with active/passive options, the vibrato was a then-new needle-bearing type with a small thumbwheel on top for adjusting spring tension, and instead of a cumbersome locking nut, it had Gotoh Magnum Lok tuners with a screw-down shaft that locks the strings in place. In addition to the active/passive option(with its mini-toggle with LED) Controls include a three-way mini-toggle, volume, midrange boost, and passive tone controls. Two other mini-toggles serve as coil taps. Active mode basically consists of a power-boost function, which can give nasty overdrive distortion depending on the amp and settings. Very Custom 15 1/2'' Older Ride / Crash, With recessed hole Design, EXC. Sound
This is a Fabulous Cymbal. And here is the Deal with it. It is a very solid older well crafted brass, possible older larger ride. Crash. When I got it in a pile of other cymbals this one was already cut down to the 15 1/2' size, but I refinished that also, but I added the Drum Zone recessed Dot Design, and this Cymbal is now a very custom, and the best part is the sound. It has a very solid warm tone ride to it, like a older larger Zildjian, and the Crash sound is just great, a solid very nice deep tone Crash. All in all this a fantastic cymbal, zildjian or not, I think the stamp is just gone when the other person cut it down. But this cymbal like all of our Drum Zone Custom Cymbals, if you don't totally love it, we will gladly pay to get it back. And the design on this one looks great, and this cymbal has a really nice arch to it.

Paul Reed Smith PRS Sweet 16 Plus Custom Amp Design 40 Watts Hand Wired 6L6 Tone
Up for you consideration we have a hand wired Paul Reed Smith Sweet 16 Plus from the Custom Amp Design department. The Sweet 16 Plus has 2 6L6 tubes instead of the normal 6V6. Giving it a power rating of around 40 watts. It has a master volume, and the tone on this amp is absolutely wonderful even at very low volume. I couldn't quite figure out what this tone was, so I called PRS and asked a few questions. They told me the transformer was a Pro Reverb style and the tone stack was set up like a Vox/Liverpool Trainwreck. It has kind of a Fender flavor clean, then when you run the volume(gain) up it goes to something else, I think that's where the Vox/ Liverpool/ Trainwreck comes in. It is not exactly that but is has it's own thing happening. That description is just to give you some sort of reference. The bottom line is the amp ... morehas a really great boutique tone that seems to have some versatility and also takes pedals extremely well. So far I have tried a few Les Pauls, a 90 Firebird, some really nice Telecaster and Strats, and it works equally well with all of them. It seems to love single coils as well as humbuckers. When I purchased it I believe it was around 1799.00 new, and I tried it out against a regular Sweet 16, and the Plus just cleaned house! Hate to let it go but I have too many that I don't play, so I am going to thin the herd a bit. About everything else is vintage so I have to decide what's next on the list. I mostly do the acoustic thing. There is very little info out there on this 40 watt version, but I did find some really interesting stuff you may want to check out about this amp on the web. 1970's Les Paul Custom Project Guitar; Harmonic Design, Vibrato, OHSC
Are you man enough to rock a sparkle pink guitar with a giant gold(actually CNC machined solid brass) vibrato plate adapter on it? Are you aware that there are TWO MORE intersecting lightning bolts machined from brass that serve as the vibrato tail spacer? Can you handle that much lightning? Do you think you're THOR? Well. You're gonna be"thor" or at least your back will be, after you rock this all night because it was a heavy guitar BEFORE I machined out all that brass and put the Washburn bigsby on it. Now it's 11.6 pounds(which some Norlin era LPs without all this cool stuff are anyway) Yes, it's heavy.Yes, it's had a headstock repair. Yes, it has been refinished(by Marty Bell. this is without a doubt the BEST sparkle finish I have ever seen, and I have quite a few sparkle guitars) Look up Marty Bell, this ... morewas a several hundred dollar refin.The headstock repair is solid, and if you keep the nut lubricated the vibrato is well behaved. I have the vibrato set for more up pull than down, by the way. This has been my number one guitar for quite a while now(so I know- for sure- there are no structural issues with the headstock) but I've realized that I prefer a 25.5" scale length; I'll be selling most of my LPs. As an aside, if you're looking for a 25.5" scale guitar that plays like a Gibson of this era and has a fingerboard just like a Les Paul Custom try the Epiphone Scroll(the deluxe version. Great guitar, not included in this auction, just trying to save you some searching) Anyway, this guitar has Harmonic Design Z-90s and a Tonestyler. The swtich a vintage 2 way Japanese made paddle type switch. It has NO VOLUME control on it. It's permanently at 11. The frets are good, there is no significant wear to them. It plays well, it really sounds great. I just lost interest in the project after I realized I don't dig the scale length anymore, but trust me, I had big plans(third humbucker, crazy switching, harp guitar attachment) None of that is happening now o
