I have a set of vintage. Real wood doors with hand blown glass panels. They are from the early 1900's and originally came from a house in the Tacoma area. While the wood has normal wear on them, they remain in good condition and were recently used as office doors. There is one small crack in one panel of the glass. All the hardware is original. Doors are approximately 29 3/4' x 79 1/2' These doors are much to pretty to sit in my garage! They deserve to be the centerpiece of their new home. Local pick up only. I have a bag of mounting hardware that came with them. I am uncertain if every piece is there. I believe it is a complete original set of installation hardware. Photo 10. Both doors do have the top and bottom swing pegs in place. Photo 11. Both doors measure the same. Down the middle of the door. From the top of the crest to the bottom measures 43 inches. On the hinge/mounting side from top to bottom is 40 1/2 inches. The inside where the doors would meet measures from top to bottom 38 inches. Pr. Antique Amethyst/Clear Glass Entry Doors From Boston Brownstone Redo Vintage
Listing this evening a fantastic entranceway double door with one awesome original amethyst glass panel and one clear glass panel removed from a Back Bay of Boston Brownstone building back in the 1970's and stored ever since. For those of you unfamiliar with this type of door system. The door on the left is usually opened to gain entry. The door on the right is generally held closed with latches on the top and bottom and not opened except to bring in large pieces of furniture or other large items. The condition is excellent for doors of this age. The original brass mail slot disappeared when it was removed from the building. The doors are 83 1/4" tall and 1 3/4" thick. In the pictures it appears that one door is taller than the other but that is not the case. They are an original matched pair, I just couldn't get them to ... morestand up correctly in the snow. The door on the left is 27 3/4" wide and the door on the right is 28" wide. If you are restoring an old house these might be just the items to make a grand entranceway. The outside is a dark gray with great panels and the interior is peeling white over original varnish) The original dark amethyst privacy panel is approximately 14 1/2" x 39 1/2" and has a pebbly surface. NOTE: After listing the doors for sale I discovered a 1 1/2" crack on the side of the amethyst glass panel when I was doing a final cleaning.the glass is very old and grainy with many lines so the crack isn't obvious until you inspect it very carefully. Such as oyster shucking plant, lumber, brewery and lamp factory as the last one in the 1980's. They measure 2 3/4" thickness) x 38" width) x 76' 79" length) The top is angled. Weight approx. 300 lbs. each door. Unfortunately only one hanging bracket is available and still attached to one door. They are made of solid wood covered with metal sheeting and could be used as a decorative element or interior door without actual fire code requirements. Good conditions. Thanks for looking. Your viewing a pair of old vintage wood doors. These were from a garage. Barn or possibly a stable or carriage barn. They are being sold in as found condition and have been stored in an old barn for many years. The wood is in very condition with no rotting and they are painted in an old white color. All the hardware including the three 16" long hinges per door, the locks and knobs are also good and in working condition but there is no key. Each door has 6 glass panes but one is broken. The glazing is in old condition and in need of some repair. The measurements are 47 1/2 inches wide by 95 1/2 inches tall by 2 inches thick for the door on the right and 47 1/2 inches wide by 94 inches tall by 2 inches thick for the door on the left. There is a rubber strip on the bottom of the shorter door to compensate for one and ... morea half inch shorter height. These doors could be used as single doors or used together and possibly shortened to match the sizes. Are joined together to make a room divider but come apart easily. Two measure 79 1/2" tall and 32" wide, One measures 78 3/4" tall and 31 3/4" wide and One measures 79 1/2" tall and 23" wide. The smallest door is a swinging door. It does have a cut out at the bottom where the hardware was to attach it to the floor. It also has a hole in the top edge of the door for the pin that held the top in place. It is missing it's hardware accept the doorknob plate.
