The door is made of solid Douglas fir, has 1 window and 3 raised panels. There is no glass installed. Unfortunately. We don't have any old glass this size, however, we could order a new glass lite(i.e. beveled. Tempered, leaded, stained, etc. and install it- email us for a quote. Hardware: The door is currently not equipped with any hardware. However. W e have a good selection of period hardware in our eBay store. And tons more in our physical store. If you would like any of the hardware holes patched with a solid block of wood.see"Modification" below. Condition: On the exterior. 2 pieces of molding are missing. The edge of the hinge ... morestile is chipped. The edge of the lock stile is chipped. The bottom of the lock stile is chipped. The bottom of the hinge stile is chipped. As you can see from the pictures all three are in"as found" condition with rust and old paint for a great shabby oh so chic look! The largest of the three is also the heaviest and it measures about 10.75" x 3" at the widest point. It has a molded St. Julian and the number"520" on the back. The two smaller back plates are identical in design. Lighter in weight relative to the St. Julian plate, and have keyhole and doorbell( openings. Each measures about 8& 3/8" x 2& 5/8' at the widest point. They are unmarked. The door is made of solid, old pine and is painted white one side and finished on the other. If you think that pine is a weak. Soft wood; please keep in mind that the wood milled from modern pine trees, which only grow for a few decades before they are cut down, is not the same quality as the wood that was milled by our forefathers from trees that were hundreds of years old. This door was built using the wood from mature pine trees, and exhibits the qualities of wood that has endured the test of time. As a result, it's physically harder, less susceptible to warping and twisting, and more insect and rot resistant than today's pine lumber. The door has 5. Vintage lot of 3 Glass door knobs + a stem antique
Two vintage glass door knobs on a stem. Also another glass knob but it is not exactly the same design as the pair. Nice art deco. The pair thread on the stem fine and the set screws are good. About 7 inches long including the stem and 2 inches wide. I do not know exactly how old they are but they are old. It has aging and wear. But not much, these look real nice. See photos for condition. I do not see any serious cracks. Dents, repairs, nor damage. It is vintage and in as found condition and will look even better if properly cleaned. For Sale is an antique 5 panel hinged door. I purchased a home built in 1880. The door was in storage in the attic. I am not sure if this was ever installed in this home. They had a grease pencil mark that said"SOLD" so I am guessing it was purchased as an antique to install. But never did. I have done no rework or restoration to it. I wiped it down to remove dust and dirt from storage. Please note the color or stain on one side is slightly darker than the other. Please review all the Photos. I do not have the keys. This is a used 1900's Oak Entrance House Door. The door has beveled glass. 9 lite or glass sections. The entire glass area is 24" wide x 60" long. The door is 35 1/2" wide and is 83 3/8" tall and is 1 3/4" thick. The door has a 1/8" veneer finish. There is a couple spots were the veneer is missing. about 1/2" x 1/4" along edge and corner) The bottom edge has a strip of about 1/2" x 20" that has broken loose and is barely attached. They removed the wood screen doors and wood window screens and put them in the barn. This door was on the back entrance, but has been in the barn now for many years. The house was built in the late 1930's so I assume it is original to that time. The door has many layers of paint. Some of which I am sure contain lead. The top layer is white in color and is chipping in numerous places. The frame is about 32 3/8" wide and 84 1/2" tall. I believe all parts are intact and original. It has a handle on one side which has been painted over and a hook on the other for closing. The wire screen is in poor condition and would need to be replaced. Description This is a great door that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. The bottom has 6 raised panels in a unique configuration. Above the panels are 2 rows of inset beaded molding. The middle has two vertical glass openings. There is no glass presently. The top has one horizontal glass panel. This piece is cracked. The fronts and backs look pretty much the same. The front has ornate molding around the top glass. One piece is missing. All of the hardware needs to be replaced. It measures 34 inches wide. By 100.5 tall and is 1.75 inches thick. Overall it is in decent condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good scrubbing but will clean up nicely.
