Description This is an exceptional set of doors that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. They are made of pine with chippy paint. The glass is a clear with different textures and a great design. Each door has approx 142 jewels! They were originally standard double entrance doors. At some point the knobs were removed and holes were patched. The then installed double action hinges to swing back and forth. Push bars were added at the same time as those hinges. They each measure 27 inches wide by 89 tall and are almost 2 inches thick. Each glass panel is 16 inches wide by 76.5 tall. Overall they are in very good condition. Penn Antique Restoration. 51"x82" Antique Chestnut Double Entry Doors w/Leaded Textured Glass. Gorgeous. Antique, double entry doors salvaged from a recently demolished church in Northeastern WV. Each door is made of solid chestnut and has 1 half-length window with 2 horizontal, recessed panels underneath. Also note that chestnut is a rare and valuable wood; it’s not commercially available due to the blight introduced between 1900& 1908. Which made the North American chestnut trees virtually extinct by 1940. Hardware: Besides 1 flushbolt. The doors are not equipped with hardware. However. We have a good selection of period hardware in our eBay store, and tons more in our physical store. If you prefer. There were a few broken pieces of glass and the leaded skeletons of the lites were weak and falling apart. On top of that. Someone replaced the original glass with modern, green, slag glass. Since then. We've stripped the paint and sanded the doors. We took the lites to the local stained glass repair shop that we've been going to for years"Kasmark& Marshall" in Luzerne. PA, and they completely reworked them! They took out all of the glass from the lites and separated the old pieces from the new. They replaced all of the new pieces, with old pieces(many of which are no longer commercially available) and then encased them in a new, leaded skeleton. The work took weeks and cost over $900! Condition: The doors are strong. Sturdy, and in great structural shape! There are a few cosmetic blemishes(character marks) including some chips in the inner corners; there is a long, but shallow crack in the lower portion of the hinge stile on one of the doors; the molding around the glass was cut to accommodate the support bars of the lites; and there are 2 slivers of wood under one

Each door is made of solid pine, and has 2 windows with a recessed panel underneath. On the exterior side, the upper windows have stepped ledges directly above, and the lower windows have stepped ledges directly below. Each window and panel is countered with lovely. Bead and reel molding on the exterior side. On the interior side, both panels, and only one of the taller windows has the decorative molding. The other tall window only has 3 pieces, and neither of the upper windows have any. Unfortunately, we are not able to reproduce this molding, but we could replace the partial moldings around the taller windows, and add the same molding that ... morewe make, to the upper windows-email us for a quote. Of the 4 windows. Only one of the taller windows has glass. The glass that remains is old and wavy. Description This is a great door that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. It is made of pine and is unpainted. The bottoms each have 2 raised panels. The top of each has a nice piece of leaded glass. All of the glass is clear distorted. I see no cracks or breaks. All of the ornate Victorian hardware is intact except the slide bolt keeper. They measure 48 inches wide by 79.25 tall. They are 1.5 inches thick. The glass only is approx. 16.25 by 40.25 inches. Overall they are in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as they are antique. They could use a good scrubbing but will clean up nicely. There was a deadbolt hole that has been filled in poorly. Easy fix. Each door is made of either Douglas Fir or pine and features an impressive arrangement of 10 true-divided old-fashioned, hand-blown, wavy glass lites. If you think that pine is a weak. Soft wood; please keep in mind that the wood milled from modern pine trees, which only grow for a few decades before they are cut down, is not the same quality as the wood that was ... moremilled by our forefathers from trees that were hundreds of years old. This shutter was built using the wood from mature pine trees, and exhibits the qualities of wood that has endured the test of time. As a result, it's physically harder, less susceptible to warping and twisting, and more insect and rot resistant than today's pine lumber. Pairs#3& 4 were not originally paired together. We acquired the doors from a contractor. And didn't remove the doors from the home ourselves. We don't know exactly how the doors were installed, or if there were other doors that we didn't get, which may have been the actual mates of the doors that we paired together to make Pairs#3& 4. The windows and mullions of the doors in the 2 odd pairs line up with each other, but the hinge mortises are not located in the correct positions to allow the hinges to be installed where they need to be. This is a very minor detail, which is easily corrected. Antique Stained Glass French Door, Double Door, Steel Frame
Remarkable piece. There are only two small broken places. One of the clear panes is cracked and one of the accent panes is also cracked. The colored glass is perfect. These are easily replaced as the lead caning is intact. The dimensions are 77 1/2" tall. 45" wide-total. Each door is 21 3/4" wide. This is extremely heavy. Over 200lbs! The doors do open but I'm not sure about the lock. No key. The multi-point locking mechanisms seem to work properly(there are 4) although they may need cleaning and oiling. There are 130 separate pieces of glass. All appear to be original. The color is much more striking in person and the clear glass is not fogged or stained. Note the picture with white paper behind it. The frame is a very heavy steel strapping and the two metal panels at the bottom are in great condition. The channels that ... moremake up the casing are still full of mortar or concrete. Looks like it can be chiseled out with relative ease. I don't have the history but I suspect it came from France or possibly England. Very typical of a greenhouse or sunroom. Shipping this door would be very expensive as well as risky. Please understand that it needs to be picked up. I will deliver within 80 miles of San Antonio.
