This set is in excellent ... morecosmetic and mechanical condition with only the typical signs of wear and use. Although the design on the lock and door plates are often refered to as the"Ceylon" pattern. That name was limited to the knob design seen with this set. This set includes a matching strike plate that has been opened up a bit, but otherwise looks fine. The switch on the face plate of the lock allows the door to be closed in a prelocked position and the included latch bolt key is needed to properly utilize this feature. The set includes one bronze faced reversible entry mortise lock. Two"Ceylon" pattern knobs, one large door plate and round knob escutcheon, matching strike plate, single keyhole cover, and both the latchbolt and deadbolt keys. Also included is a reconditioned knob spindle with new set screws. The set screw holes have been deburred so the screws turn in easily. This is a very nice functioning lock set ready to be installed. The mortise lock's backset to the keyhole is 2 5/8" and the face plate is 6 13/16" tall x 1" wide. The lock box is 4 5/8" tall x 5/8" thick x 3 9/16" deep. The large door plate is 7 1/4" tall x 1 15/16" wide. The knobs are 2 1/4" in diameter. The round escutcheon is 2 1/8" in diameter, the strike plate is 4 1/4" x 15/16" and the keyhole cover is 1 3/4" x 1 1/8" If your going to spend real money on a vintage lock set you should expect no broken or missing pieces. A look inside the lock box, pieces that have not been abraded and diminished by sand blasting and at a minimum the ability to make a return. Condition All of my pieces have been carefully cleaned with attention given to preserving original finishes where they remain intact. Talk about an unusual Charleston estate auction find. here is an incredible heavy carved polychrome solid wood Chinese door or heavy gate with a cross beam and side beam frame as well as the heavy raised panel doors with all their original iron fittings. This is an old Chinese door and is extremely heavy as well as somewhat primitive on the unfinished sides of the beams. The polychrome paint is quite worn but is still quite evident and adds so much character to an already gorgeous detailed yet functional heavy door. I have included a number of photographs in an attempt to accurately represent the design. Quality, condition and overall beauty of this delightful antique door. Unfotunately I do not know any additional provenance on the door or have any definitive explanation as to how it arrived in our fair city, though with it being a port ... morecity and with the sheer size and weight, my guess is whenever it came to the US, it was most assuredly by boat long ago. The standing door frame itself is 78 inches tall by 68 inches wide at it's widest points. At beams which extend and is constructed of huge beams 4 1/2 inches wide.The inside doorway entrance(inside the standing frame) is 63 1/2 inches tall and 39 1/4 inches wide, with a bottom crossbeam one would have to step over to enter. In addition there is a large crossbeam I believe goes overhead, hooking into the corbels, 68 inches long by 8 inches wide by 4 1/4 inches thick. There are also two side beams each 73 1/4 inches long by 6 1/2 inches wide by 3 inches thick and the two corbels, carved from blocks roughly 21 1/2 inches by 12 inches by 8 inches. Outside has a slightly raised panel that forms a diamond point at the center of the door. Inside is unpainted and flat. I also have the lock& key that came with the doors. These were cabinet doors in a local Clerk of the Courts office on the Northern Neck of Virginia. They were removed some time ago during a renovation. This is one of three sets. Antique Matching Set of 3 Large 4" x 4" Victorian Brass Plated Cast Iron Hinges
Up For Auction A Matching Set of Three 4" x 4" Hinges(auction is for the set of 3) Brass Plated Cast-Iron beautiful restored condition Cleaned. Polished, and sealed. These hinges have no looseness, or play in them when they are opened. A high quality set of hinges that have not been abused. A couple of areas the brass plating was thin so the iron shows through, these areas polished up nicely so they appear shiny silver, not noticeable as they blend in with the shiny brass as seen in the photos. The pins come out with a little effort(by hand) as they fit tightly, the other ball knob on the other end of the hinge unscrews out. The came out of a really old farmhouse off the front door, after removing several heavy coats of paint the brass was revealed! The black background on the hinges show the brass detailing even better.

SET OF ANTIQUE DOORS WITH SLAG GLASS PANELS
I have for sale a beautiful set of antique solid oak doors with slag glass panels. They look like they were used as front entrance doors at one time as the left one has the door stop strip on it. Both still have the original hinges and the right one has the original knob plates(but not the door knobs) The slag glass is in excellent condition with no breaks or cracks. The glass for the most part is variations of green with some amber. Gray and white. The wood around the edges does have some issues where the wood has peeled off on some of the corners but could easily be filled in with wood filler and stained. All the wood pieces that hold in the glass are intact and in good condition. The right door measures 29 3/4" wide x 7 feet tall and the left door measures 30 1/2" wide(including door stop) x 7 feet tall. These are truly a pair ... moreof magnificent looking doors! This is a SET OF THREE MATCHING 5 PANEL OAK DOORS HINGED TOGETHER. Two of the doors measure approx. 27 3/4 inches each and one measures approx. 28 inches for a total opening of approx. 84 inches or 7 feet. All have the original finish and hinges but one hinge is misding. Overall condition is very good with just some minor wood chipping at the bottom. The lock box for the doorknobs is there but the knows and plates are missing. I may have these available for separate purchase. These are part of several of the same style doors from one building. The doors measure 30" x 80" w/ a 5.5" wood frame around the leaded glass centers. The doors came from an estate on the Detroit River that was being torn down in the early 1980's. These doors measure 79"x 22"x 3" Each has 43 brass pegs on front and the back has an interesting iron designs throughout. Doors are some form of hard wood, I believe one part is Oak with maybe a Teak but not for certain. They are very heavy, each weighing about 200 pounds. These came from an old church/mission in Carson City Nevada, believed to have existed since late 1700 maybe early 1800's. The character/ design of these doors is very unique. Antique Etched French Glass Doors, From the early 1900's, Nice Set!
For your consideration- Wonderful set of vintage etched glass French doors. These were reclaimed from a house that was built in 1910. Each door has a etched basket of daisies in them and a large star at the bottom. The border around each of the doors is also etched glass. The wood appears to be oak and is in decent condition. The glass is in perfect condition with no cracks or chips. Each door measures 30 x 80. The bottom latch lock is missing on one of the doors. This auction is for local pickup only. Description This is a great set of antique doors that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian home. They are made of pine and are painted on both sides. The originally went from hallway to parlor. The tops are semi-arched and the panels follow that curve. Each door has 2 raised panels. The fronts and backs look the same. They measure 48.5 inches wide by 94.5 inches tall in the center and 91.25 at the ends and are almost1.5 thick. Overall they are in very good condition. These absolutely gorgeous 3 section antique quartersawn oak Victorian era doors with fabulous etched glass windows with all the bells and whistles when it comes to fine exquisite antique etched glass. Like it's cartouches and swags in the corners and across the tops above the three Dutch scenes across the bottom, each individual but they work together, like the doors, drawn in by their border designs. This old glass appears to be in very good condition, intact and free of any cracks, chips or hairlines. The paneled oak doors are solid and in very nice condition on both sides, and protected across the bottom on each side by an attached wood kick board on both sides of each of the three doors. They are designed with built in hinges as shown in close up and they do have the old hardware, also as shown. The scenes one the etched glass are ... morevery detailed and simply exquisite. On one side a woman and child watch a boy in a rowboat with a windmill in the background. In the center it appears the boy in the rowboat has reached the windmill and he sits playing with a toy sailboat. On the other side pane, there is a woman with a flower basket, with a windmill and another out building in the background. There is an interesting border design with cartouche's in the outside corners across the bottom of the three scenes and across the top of the three tree sprays which show the three panes come together as one picture, as in one doors. These three doors are each 108 inches tall and are 27 1/4 inch wide and 1 3/8's inches thick. These are gorgeous formidable sturdy old Victorian doors, ready for use and as a decorative highlight in any large Victorian sized home which can accomodate their size.
