New pine hewn from 10- 20 year old trees doesn't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old has. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine. There is an oval window in the upper half of the door. The original glass was replaced at some point. And the glass currently in the door appears to have been installed sometime during the last 20 years. A remarkable antique arched exterior door ornamented with a leaf design. In its original jamb with leaf-detailed interior trim and a beautiful stained finish. Salvaged from a house in Kentucky, this Eastlake door dates from 1880’s. It features a gorgeous leaf design throughout, with rosettes at the top above the glass, and decorative chamfered edges surrounding the panels. The inside of the door features a simpler paneled design, with the leaf pattern on the trim surrounding the door. Beautiful Antique Eastlake Victorian Brass Doorbell Pullchain Bell Hardware NICE
Up for auction is this antique doorbell. It was purchased at auction here in Ohio. It measures@ 5" in diameter. It has nice Eastlake style decoration on the brass bell. The back and inside components appear to be made of cast iron. The patent date on the inside is 1876. The bell is complete except for the pullchain. You can see on the photo which shows you the back side a channel that the chain goes in. You can easily attach a small chain or rope to make this complete. It has a nice ring to it. I have an antique cast iron deadbolt lock slide for your consideration. This is original Victorian Eastlake period door hardware. Spring feels strong for reuse. All the original Jappaned finish is worn away. Will clean up nicely for a new finish or nice as is. This was a typical toe kick release for the bottom of a door and floor. The slide engages with foot simply by pushing to engage knob. To disengage simply tap the button with your toe. The top side of the door might have had a matching slide with a chain pull to secure the topside of the door. Lock comes with a flush mount strike that is not original to the piece although could work depending on your application. This old Victorian door in the Eastlake Style has been stripped of all paint and is ready to finish in any way you want. It is constructed of heart pine and is in very nice vintage condition and bears the original porcelain knob and escutcheon plate. It measures 33 ¾”w x 87 ½”h x 2” thick. Opening for glass 22” w x 46 1/2”h. It features carved bullseye and scalloped detail on one side(lower left bullseye has some damage- see last photo) and raised panels on the other. Antique Vintage Eastlake Door with Window and Frame Local Pickup Mid Illinois
This old 32" door was original to an approximately 100 year old house and has normal surface wear. It is still in good condition. But will need to be refinished. The door has been painted and has a curtain rod on the inside. The outside appears to be the original varnish. The original frame and latch are included but the hinges have been replaced. The doorknob turns but the latch doesn't go in and out like it should. It still has the old glass that is just a bit wavy. OUTSTANDING! ANTIQUE EASTLAKE FRONT ENTRY DOOR BEVELED GLASS PANES WOOD HARDWARE
This is such a gorgeous door. I hate to let it go. I found it in Missouri about 8 years ago after my house burned down. I intended for it to be my new front door, but as I rebuilt the house, my design changed from a slightly Victorian/Farm look to more a Craftsman/Lodge style. No longer did its beauty compliment the style of the emerging home. I often thought I would find a use for it, but so far it's sat upright against a wall in my garage. Time to pass it along. First of all. It's truly stunning with mortise and tenon joinery. It has a beautiful honey color and has worn unusually well for it's age. There are a few divets and scratches, but nothing major or unsightly.only added character. A previous owner has used a brown putty on a few of them, and to be honest, I didn't notice them until taking the pictures to post here. ... moreThe one imperfection that I had taken notice of when I bought it was a crack in one of the glass panes. It's in the corner and measures approximately 1 1/2" It does not appear to compromise the integrity of the glass pane at all and is not distracting to the eye. All the glass panes have a lovely beveled edge and add charm to an already enchanting door. The bottom front panels have the usual trademark Eastlake designs and also the wonderfully decorative Eastlake hardware including the front and back plate and the inner locking/latch piece. There is no knob. I have no idea, if once complete that the internal hardware will operate properly or not. Although, you shouldn't have much of a problem finding something else, including knobs.they are all over E-bay! I do have cast iron Eastlake style hinges(a set of three) that I will include. The hinge side of the door has several holes where previous hinges had attached. These can be filled and when I place the hinges up to them there are several holes that hit virgin wood and should grab nicely. The top of the door features three inset square panels with carved roundels at their centers. FANTASTIC ANTIQUE LATE 19THC. EASTLAKE DOOR W/ LARGE ACID ETCHED GLASS WINDOW
Up for auction I have a wonderful late 19th Century Victorian door with Eastlake details and an extra large original acid etched window that is in great shape with no damage. I would date this historic door to the 1880's or 1890's. Sorry but my pictures of the glass are somewhat blurry. I had trouble photographing this. The glass detail is actually quite crisp looking.This was acquired in the Brownsville. Oregon area. The window is a country scene with a mother and child feeding a fawn with the mother deer watching from close by. There are trees, birds, an Egret, water with water lilies and plants, a dragonfly, a scroll and other esthetic details. This door is made of old growth fir and someone has already started to strip off the old paint although some paint remains. The overall size of the door is approx. 88" tall x 29" ... morewide x 1 3/4" thick. The applied carvings add some extra thickness but will not affect the door casing at all. The etched window is approx. 38" x 20" and is held in place with wooden trim moulding. The mortise lock is still in place but the door knobs, plates and original hinges are gone. This also had a face mount dead bolt at one time. No major damaged areas on the wooden parts- just normal bumps and wear for a 100+ year old door. Item must be picked up by buyer or buyers shipper. 4 Antique Victorian Ornate Cabinet Door Doors Wavy Glass Raised Panel Eastlake
I believe thease were salvaged from a built in cabinet. They date to the late 1800's period. What is left of the hinges and the RUSTY but intact/functional latchs are Eastlake Victorian. The glass is intact and wavy. The glass doors measure 25 inches wide by 64 tall. The bottom raised panels are 25 wide by 26 tall. The white chippy paint has a heavy texture. These were a barn find and had so much dust and dirt you couldn't even tell they were glass. Let alone white. I DID NOT attempt to clean these other than a wisk broom and quick windex wipe. SORRY, I WILL NOT attempt to ship these. Pay on pickup is acceptable. Email any questions.
